Cristiano Ronaldo leaves US$23,000 tip at Greek hotel

Portugal footballer Cristiano Ronaldo left a US$23,200 tip at a Greek hotel during a holiday, according to media reports.

Ronaldo stayed at the Costa Navarino resort, shortly after his team got knocked out of the World Cup.

“The 10 employees, who had been tasked with providing services to Ronaldo’s family and to keep them away from the paparazzi, each received €2,000,” the Greek online sports magazine SPORtime reported.

The footballer also asked for the tip to be split between the hotel staff.
