Simone Caporale Brings Global Mixology to India
/New Delhi/Gurugram, March 2026 – Globally acclaimed mixologist Simone Caporale, co-founder of SIPS Barcelona (ranked No. 3 bar in the world), has made his debut in India with a series of exclusive bar takeovers and masterclasses. Honoured as International Bartender of the Year, Caporale’s visit marks a milestone for India’s cocktail culture, introducing a new benchmark of craftsmanship rooted in creativity, precision, and hospitality-led storytelling.
Curated by The Experience India in partnership with Cashmir Vodka and Camikara Rum from Piccadily, the programme includes:
Bar Takeovers: At AABBCC, New Delhi and Japonico, Gurugram on March 6 and 7, where Caporale will present bespoke cocktails crafted with Indian spirits.
Masterclasses: Immersive sessions exploring his philosophy of modern mixology, focusing on precision, creativity, and elevating guest experiences.
Celebrating Indian Spirits
At the heart of the collaboration lies a shared belief that world-class mixology begins with exceptional spirits:
Cashmir Vodka – India’s first organic craft vodka.
Camikara Rum – India’s first premium pure cane juice aged rum.
Caporale’s creations highlight how Indian-origin spirits can stand confidently on the global cocktail stage.
Strengthening India’s Bartending Ecosystem
Beyond consumer experiences, the initiative aims to inspire skill development, global exposure, and creative exchange within India’s hospitality industry—leaving a lasting impact on bartenders and elevating the country’s mixology standards.
Simone Caporale on India
Reflecting on his debut, Caporale said:
“For me, everything begins and ends with taste, product and functional serve—every element in the glass must exist for a reason. India is one of the most exciting and dynamic markets in the world today. Through these masterclasses and bar takeovers, my aim is to exchange ideas, blend cultures, and create cocktail experiences that go far beyond what’s in the glass.”
Piccadily’s Perspective
Shalini Sharma, Head of Marketing at Piccadily, added:
“This collaboration goes beyond a visit or a bar takeover—it is about raising the overall standard of mixology in India. Simone Caporale and SIPS represent the very best of modern cocktail culture, and through this association, we aim to inspire bartenders, engage consumers and contribute meaningfully to the evolution of India’s hospitality ecosystem.”
