The Chandiwala Hospitality Ensemble turns 25 this November. Banarsidas Chandiwala Institute of Hotel Management & Catering Technology (BCIHMCT), New Delhi, will stage the silver jubilee edition, CHE 2026, from 3 to 5 November 2026 under the theme ‘Parampara se Pragati’.
What began as an inter-institutional competition has, over a quarter of a century, become a national stage for young hospitality talent. CHE brings together students from leading hospitality institutions across India to showcase their skills, exchange ideas and learn through experience.
Over 15 events, one theme
The jubilee edition features more than 15 specialised events spanning culinary arts, food and beverage service, housekeeping, front office operations and newer creative disciplines. ‘Parampara se Pragati’ frames the programme as a kaleidoscope of India’s cultural richness, culinary diversity, creative expression and sustainable practice, with regional cuisines, indigenous knowledge, traditional craftsmanship and the spirit of Atithi Devo Bhava reinterpreted through contemporary creativity and global hospitality standards.
Industry at the table
Industry collaboration remains central. Taj Hotels returns with the Taj Hospitality Brain Twister, which tests students’ knowledge of hotel operations and analytical thinking. Crowne Plaza runs Manage the Damage, a challenge built around quick decision-making and crisis management. MDH, R Pure and Nestlé are also supporting the ensemble.
New creative formats
Reflecting a changing industry, CHE 2026 adds Reel Making, Menu Designing and Mood Board Creation, nodding to the growing weight of digital storytelling, visual communication, branding and guest-centric design. Alongside these sits KHOZ, an entrepreneurial platform that encourages students to explore ideas and develop an entrepreneurial mindset.
