Chef Abhilash began his culinary journey in Kozhikode, immersing himself in the traditions of Mappila cuisine. Now based in Bangalore, he brings his signature fusion of global inspiration and classical techniques to this exclusive collaboration. 

The menu is a thoughtful collection of traditions and memories shaped by family and time-honoured recipes. Guests can start their journey in North Kerala with Jackfruit Sukka and String Hoppers, a preparation of tender young jackfruit and traditional Kasaragod spices. The exploration continues into Central Kerala with a classic Duck Roast in spiced, roasted coconut gravy, paired with Neer Pathiri, or the rustic, toddy-shop-inspired Kozhuva Fry, crisp-fried anchovies served over creamy tapioca mash.

February, 2026, Corbett, Uttarakhand: Where the quiet waters of the Kosi mirror the ancient pulse of Hindustani ragas, Ragas by the River - India’s only riverside residential classical music festival returns for its much-anticipated third edition. Held from 20–22 March 2026, this season embraces the theme Celebrating Legacies-honouring the gharanas, maestros and timeless traditions that continue to define Indian classical music. 

“What makes this festival truly unique is its passionately curated, intimate experience - where some of India’s finest classical musicians perform in settings that elevate both artists and audiences, amid the serene beauty of nature and the breathtaking Corbett landscape. The festival is a harmonious confluence of soulful music and the gracious hospitality of The Riverview Retreat & Taj Corbett Resort & Spa.  Season 3 is a thoughtfully curated edition, Celebrating Legacies, honouring the legends of yesteryears who have shaped Indian classical and allied genres of our rich musical heritage,” says Vir Srivastava, Festival Director & Promoter. 

 

The 2026 edition will open with a historic moment as Ragas by the River presents its eponymous Legend Award to Padma Vibhushan Ustad Amjad Ali Khan, while also honouring another living legend-Padma Vibhushan Pandit Hariprasad Chaurasia. 

The musical journey unfolds with Sadaa-e-Sarod, a rare multi-generational sarod ensemble featuring Amaan, Ayaan, Zohaan and Abeer, followed by Remembering the Divas, where Kaushiki Chakraborty pays homage to iconic voices such as Begum Akhtar, Noor Jehan and M.S.

 

Subbulakshmi amongst. The programme also features Parampara, celebrating the Etawah–Imdadkhani Gharana, alongside evocative evening presentations by Ustad Shahid Parvez Khan, Shakir Khan, and other leading contemporary classical artistes. 

The final day showcases an exceptional collaboration between flautist Rakesh Chaurasia and percussion maestro Taufiq Qureshi, celebrating the enduring Chaurasia legacy and the lineage of Ustad Alla Rakha and Ustad Zakir Hussain

Event in Delhi This Weekend

This weekend, Burash is hosting a hands-on pizza-making workshop designed for couples and duos. We're sharing the details and images below, and would be happy to provide anything else you may need, should you choose to carry this in your weekend listings!

About the Workshop

The 1.5-hour interactive session will introduce participants to the art of making thin-crust Talo Romano pizzas from scratch. Guests will learn about the fundamentals of pizza making, including dough handling, sauce preparation, and the role of quality ingredients such as San Marzano tomatoes, good olive oil, and fresh cheese in achieving authentic flavours.

Each pair will be seated at a long communal workshop table and will receive their own personal pizza-making setup along with all ingredients required for the session.

Participants will also receive chef aprons and caps, which they can keep as souvenirs of the experience.

Under guided instruction, guests will learn how to:

• Stretch pizza dough into a thin crust
• Prepare and apply pizza sauce
• Add toppings and assemble their pizza
• Bake their pizza in either an electric oven or Burash’s wood-fired oven
