Mumbai, May 2026 - New Orleans has always had a way with Sundays, to fill every moment of celebration - with food that means something, music that moves, and the easy, unhurried pleasure of a table that nobody wants to leave. 

SoBo20, Mumbai's Franco-American boîte and bar on Marine Drive, has taken that spirit and made it its own. Beginning from 17th May, the restaurant introduces its latest offering, the  Sunday Brunch - a New Orleans and Louisiana-inspired Sunday afternoon interpreted entirely through SoBo20's singular Franco-American lens.


The SoBo20 Sunday Brunch is not a buffet, or a set menu. It is, quite simply, the Sunday you have been looking for - Unhurried, Luminous and Celebratory by nature, a rhythm that feels brighter, slower, and more alive, and unmistakably SoBo20 in its soul. 

At the centre of the room, a grazing table sets the tone, whipped feta and brown butter cannellini pâté beside artfully composed salads like the Herbed Beetroot Salad, a generous cheese board, a warm bread display, the kind of spread that rewards lingering. 

The cocktails come before you have to ask, and it leaves you wanting a second sip. The New Orleans Mary comes sharp and savoury with its salted rim and clarified spice, while the South Basil Smash feels made for long afternoons that stretch past intention. The Gin Paloma brings just enough heat to keep things interesting, and the Mango Martini among others is bright, cold and dangerously effortless, quickly becoming the drink nobody orders only once. 

And then the room starts moving. Crisp Pizzettes; the Louisiana Curry Puff, filled with the holy trinity of Cajun cooking and molten Pepper Jack, served beside a chilli cheese dip that demands repeat visits; Stracciatella Crostini layered over sourdough with basil pesto and olive oil, delicate but impossible to stop reaching for; Chilli Cheese Hot Dogs; among other bites that arrive as the afternoon finds its pace. These are not amuse-bouches, they are the beating pulse of the brunch, confident, moreish and designed to circulate.

The mains arrive with intention. The Eggs Benedict, set over soft brioche with smoked ham, poached eggs and hollandaise, is rich without excess and deeply satisfying in the way only a classic can be. The Étouffée Rice Pilaf brings the soul of Louisiana to the table through Cajun spice, creole cabbage, charred corn and mixed vegetables, layered and warm. For those leaning toward the sea, the Citrus Sea Bass arrives bright and delicate under a Mediterranean sauce, while the Shrimp & Grits - sautéed shrimp over stone-ground creamy grits - delivers exactly the kind of Southern comfort a New Orleans-inspired brunch should. And then there is the Summer Lemon Tagliolini, the lightest thing on the table and, somehow, the one that stays with you longest. The kind of pasta that makes you forget it is summer, and then reminds you with every bite. 

And then, as if the afternoon wasn't ready to let go, desserts arrive. The Chocolate Pâté needs no introduction, it anchors the table the way it always has and for good reason. Beside it, the In-house seasonal ice creams arrive as quieter pleasures, changing with the moment and designed to cool the long afternoon without interrupting it. And then comes the Banana Foster Turnovers, flaky, caramelised and impossible to share gracefully. 

The experience, incomplete without its music, doesn't ask for your attention - it earns it. Jazz-house fills every corner of the room, upbeat without urgency, the kind of sound that makes the afternoon stretch and the table linger. This isn't background music, this is the room, breathing.

And that is precisely the point of a SoBo20 Sunday, not a meal you fit into your day, but the reason you shaped your day around it. Chic, but never trying. Social, but never loud. The kind of afternoon that steals three hours without anyone minding.

Finland in the Skies: Finnair Launches Its Summer 2026 Onboard Menu | May 27 - October 30

New Delhi, May 2026: From 27 May to 20 October 2026, Finnair introduces a refreshed onboard dining experience inspired by the flavours of the Finnish summer.  Rooted in Nordic simplicity and seasonal ingredients, the menus draw inspiration from two distinctly Finnish summer notes: the brightness of fresh strawberries and the depth of delicately smoked notes, reimagined across all travel classes. With direct connectivity between Helsinki and Delhi, Indian travellers can seamlessly access Finnair’s new onboard dining experience as part of their journey to Northern Europe and beyond.

 Long-haul Business Class: Finnish flavours with destination-inspired touches

 For long-haul Business Class passengers departing from Helsinki, the onboard dining experience has been thoughtfully elevated to reflect the clean, balanced flavours of Finnish cuisine.

Starters spotlight ingredients from the Nordic pantry, including salmon pastrami with sour milk sauce and cauliflower, or marinated whitefish paired with sour cream potato salad and dill mayonnaise, depending on the route. A vibrant tomato broth with cream cheese, crushed peas, strawberries and jalapeño oil is served across all flights, offering a fresh and contemporary interpretation of Finnish summer flavours. Main courses continue the seasonal narrative alongside destination-inspired dishes that nod to local culinary traditions. Desserts include strawberry cake with rhubarb compote or chocolate cake with pistachio crème, complemented by a curated cheese selection served with fig compote.

 Finnair’s refreshed Business Class wine programme has been curated to complement the summer menu, featuring labels from across Europe. However, the most distinctive offering, however, is Finland’s own Ainoa Kaste, a lightly sparkling dessert wine crafted from lingonberry, honey and meadowsweet, capturing the character of a Finnish summer forest in every glass.

 Premium Economy and Economy: lighter, brighter seasonal dining

 The seasonal refresh extends across Premium Economy and Economy cabins, where menus have been designed with lighter sauces, fresher flavours and comforting favourites inspired by the Nordic summer.

 Premium Economy passengers can enjoy dishes such as chicken with shiitake mushrooms in Chikuzen sauce or linguine with prawns in Choron sauce, alongside a complimentary selection of hot, cold and alcoholic beverages throughout the flight.

 In Economy Class on long-haul routes, passengers are served a hot meal with non-alcoholic beverages and one complimentary alcoholic drink, with a second light meal offered on longer journeys. Additional snacks and refreshments can also be conveniently ordered through Finnair’s inflight entertainment system.

 European flights: expanded pre-order and onboard selections

 On European flights, Business Class passengers can pre-select from five main course options on day and evening services, spanning chicken, seafood and vegetarian dishes, paired with the airline’s refreshed summer wine selection.

 Economy Class travellers will also find an expanded onboard sales and pre-order menu, featuring new additions such as Asian chicken noodles, creamy pesto pasta, tomato and spinach lasagna, and green chicken curry on selected routes. Pre-order options range from the Northern Choice rye sandwich with cold-smoked salmon to Mediterranean-inspired vegetarian sandwiches with feta and hummus.

 Finnair’s signature blueberry juice or water continues to be offered complimentary on all flights except the shortest routes.

 Families travelling with children can also opt for the Kid’s Choice meal, which includes a turkey and cheese sandwich, juice, Moomin candy and an activity kit, a thoughtful touch designed to make flying easier for younger passengers.

Edition I, taking place on 4th July 2026 and available throughout July, features acclaimed food historian and author Anoothi Vishal, whose extensive research into India's culinary heritage inspires an exploration of nineteenth-century Lucknow and the enduring legacy of Awadhi cuisine. For the inaugural edition, Chef Taj Mohammed Sha presents Kim's Dastarkhwan, a specially curated five-course menu inspired by Rudyard Kipling's celebrated novel Kim and the vibrant cultural landscape of nineteenth-century Lucknow. Blondie presents A Blind Date With Coffee, an interactive tasting experience that invites guests to rediscover specialty coffee without labels, tasting notes, or preconceived expectations. Taking place on Saturday, 4th July at Blondie in Khar, the guided evening encourages participants to trust their senses, challenge their assumptions, and experience coffee in a completely new way.

The experience begins with an interactive Aroma Table, where guests explore ingredients inspired by the flavour notes hidden within the coffees they are about to taste. From lychee and hibiscus to cherry, pineapple, and rose, participants are encouraged to smell, guess, and build their own expectations before the first cup is poured.

Guests are then served three specialty pour-over coffees completely blind, with no information about their origin, producer, or flavour profile. Instead of relying on tasting notes, they score each coffee across four categories: Most Refreshing, Most Surprising, Most Complex, and I'd Order Again. Only after every coffee has been tasted are the beans revealed, uncovering their origin, processing method, producer story, and tasting notes, allowing guests to compare their own perceptions with the story behind each cup.

The experience continues with curated coffee and dessert pairings, demonstrating how food can completely transform flavour perception. Bringing that philosophy behind the bar in Bengaluru will be Rahul Kamath, Bar Operations Head and Khanimwon Ramrar, Bartender, who will present four signature cocktails that reflect the spirit of Idoru. Guests can begin with Enmi, a refreshing salty highball combining Roku Sakura Gin, shio-koji, lemon, cinnamon and bubbles, inspired by Japan's beloved lemon sour. To Odoroki layers Laphroaig, shochu, mango, honey, mint, ginger and smoke into an unexpected yet harmonious composition that celebrates surprise through contrast. Ikura Opera pairs Roku Sakura Gin with wasabi, cucumber, yoghurt, cream, milk, lemon, honey and salmon roe, inviting guests to experience the drink alongside ikura as its flavours unfold in stages. Completing the menu is Margarita, Idoru's umami-forward interpretation of the classic, combining Don Julio Blanco, agave syrup and lime with bonito dashi, salt and tomato salsa.

The culinary programme mirrors the same philosophy of thoughtful restraint and quiet innovation. Led by Chef Nooresha Kably, the menu approaches Japanese flavours as reference points rather than rules, resulting in dishes that are comforting, layered and designed to complement the cocktail experience. Every plate balances familiarity with discovery, creating food that is equally at home alongside a drink or as the centrepiece of the evening.

Flying down with the kitchen for the evening are Nirav Gadre, Executive Chef, and Jagannath Deo, Commis Chef, who will present a specially curated menu featuring Cauliflower with ranch, chermoula and party mix; the playful Idoru 'Pizza' topped with stracciatella, tomato, kizami wasabi, finger lime and garlic chips; Dashi Mascarpone, a bonito-infused mascarpone served with ikura, fish flakes, chive oil and flatbread; the indulgent Bourdain Sando layered with pork mortadella, provolone and mustard; and the comforting Mini Don, bringing together sticky rice, smoked chicken, shiso and onsen tamago.
