Led by Founder and CEO Sara Chortani, Funun brings together the Omani hospitality, tourism, travel, events and culinary experiences under one umbrella, with a clear focus on creating experiences that retain a sense of place while meeting contemporary expectations. The company’s name itself reflects that philosophy, i.e. ‘Funun’ meaning ‘art’. A brainchild of Sara Chortani, Funun Hospitality is enriched with her 17 years of experience in the regional tourism and hospitality industry. She has spent over 15 years providing hospitality services in Oman, which has paved her path to the Tourism Committee at the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Sara has also bagged recognitions like Entrepreneur of the Year - Tourism & Hospitality at The Origin 2026 Awards.
