The Lind Hotels Set to Open Its Next Chapter in Coron, Palawan

Villa-led resort prepares to welcome guests in Palawan in 2027

CORON, PHILIPPINES, September , 2026 — The Lind Hotels is set to open The Lind Coron in 2027, marking the homegrown Filipino hospitality brand’s expansion into Palawan and a return to the destination where its story first began.

More than a decade ago, Coron was the company’s first property acquisition and the place where the idea for The Lind Hotels began to take shape. The company later chose Boracay, then a more established tourism destination, to introduce the brand before returning to its original plans for Coron.

The decision gave The Lind Hotels a strong foundation for growth. Over the past decade, The Lind Boracay has become an internationally recognized hotel, earning several accolades and becoming the first hotel in Boracay to be included in the MICHELIN Guide. The opening of The Lind Coron now brings the brand back to where its journey started.

“We have always believed in pioneering rather than following,” said Pierre Henrichs, Chief Operating Officer of The Lind Hotels. “Coron offers a rare combination of natural beauty and untapped potential. Our goal is not only to be part of its growth, but to help shape its future by bringing a new standard of hospitality to the destination.”

Surrounded by limestone formations, clear turquoise waters, hidden lagoons and rich marine life, The Lind Coron will give guests the freedom to experience the destination at their own pace, whether exploring the islands or spending a quiet day at the resort.

The resort will feature 91 rooms and villas designed for privacy, comfort and time together. Private villas will have their own dipping pools for slow afternoons, along with a dedicated Villa Host providing thoughtful, personalized service throughout the stay.

The Lind Coron will also be a culinary destination, with Yím, its signature modern Thai restaurant, and Crust, set at the heart of the Main House by the infinity pool. With sweeping sea views and a mix of indoor and outdoor seating, Crust will be a natural gathering place throughout the day, serving Mediterranean flavors alongside a selection of locally crafted beverages.

For time away from the day's adventures, The Lind Coron brings the Philippines’ premier name in relaxation to Palawan with the opening of The Spa Wellness Coron. As the country’s first spa brand to earn Superbrand status, it offers guests a serene retreat to recharge through award-winning holistic care in one of the nation's most breathtaking destinations.

The resort will also have its own dive center, operated by one of the Philippines’ diving pioneers, with experience working with some of the country’s leading hospitality brands. Guests can spend their days island-hopping, discovering hidden lagoons or diving among vibrant reefs. World War II shipwrecks just in front of the property bring one of Coron’s most distinctive underwater experiences within easy reach.

Indoor and outdoor spaces will make the most of the natural surroundings for celebrations, events and meetings. The Gallery, an indoor venue for up to 200 guests, will offer panoramic sea views, while The Cove brings gatherings outdoors. At the resort’s highest point, the Roof Deck opens to 360-degree views of the sea, mountains and lush greenery, creating a memorable setting for wedding ceremonies, proposals and special occasions.

“We aim to create a resort that belongs in its setting rather than competes with it,” added Henrichs. “We want guests to experience the beauty, authenticity and adventure of Coron while enjoying the hospitality and service they have come to associate with The Lind Hotels.”

For The Lind Hotels, the opening of The Lind Coron brings a vision more than a decade in the making full circle. Coron was where the idea for the brand first took shape, and in 2027, it will finally become home to The Lind, continuing its journey of Crafting Experiences, Creating Memories in a destination that has always been part of its story.

The Lind Coron will open in Palawan in early 2027, marking the next chapter for homegrown Filipino hospitality brand The Lind Hotels.

The villa-led resort will feature 91 rooms and villas, with private dipping pools and dedicated Villa Hosts.

Surrounded by Coron’s dramatic limestone landscapes and turquoise waters, The Lind Coron brings the brand back to the destination where its story first began.

The Lind Hotels Reimagines Guest-centric Hospitality With New “One-Person Promise”

The independent Filipino hospitality brand is replacing hotel handoffs with human connection

ORACAY, Philippines (July , 2026) – The Lind Hotels is reimagining guest-centric hospitality with its new "One-Person Promise", a service model that gives guests a single point of contact throughout their stay.

The initiative is designed to replace traditional hotel handoffs with a smoother and personal guest experience.

Developed as part of a broader guest experience transformation across the independent Filipino hospitality brand, the One-Person Promise replaces the traditional separation between front desk, concierge and guest services functions with an integrated Guest Experience team trained to support guests from arrival through departure.

Rather than being transferred between departments, guests are connected with a dedicated Guest Experience host who can assist with everything from transportation arrangements and dining reservations to special requests, celebrations, local recommendations and departure planning.

The model reflects changing traveller expectations, with guests increasingly seeking faster, more personalised and more intuitive service experiences.

"Hospitality has traditionally been organised around departments, but guests do not experience a hotel in departments," said Pierre Henrichs, Chief Operating Officer of The Lind Hotels. "We wanted to create a model that feels more intuitive and more human. By giving guests a single point of contact, we remove barriers and allow genuine relationships to develop throughout the stay."

To support the initiative, The Lind Hotels has invested in extensive cross-functional training, equipping Guest Experience hosts with skills that traditionally sat across multiple specialist roles. The company has also introduced enhanced pre-arrival planning, enabling teams to understand guest preferences, special occasions and individual requirements before arrival.

The One-Person Promise is complemented by an elevated Beach & Pool Butler programme at The Lind Boracay, which places greater emphasis on anticipation, personalisation and proactive service.

From preparing loungers before guests arrive and providing refreshments during the day to recognising celebrations and assisting families with young children, Beach & Pool Butlers are empowered to make independent decisions that enhance the guest experience through thoughtful, personalised touches.

While The Lind Hotels does not attribute performance to any single initiative, Henrichs said early indicators have been encouraging, with consistently positive guest feedback alongside growth in both returning guests and direct bookings.

"The One-Person Promise is ultimately about trust," Henrichs said. "We are giving our people greater ownership, broader skills and the confidence to make decisions that genuinely improve a guest's stay. The most memorable hospitality experiences are often built through small moments rather than grand gestures, and our goal is to create more opportunities for those moments by giving our people the freedom to deliver them."

The Lind Hotels Helps Reshape Lifestyle Travel in the Philippines

Brand continues refining guest experience while helping elevate homegrown hotel scene

BORACAY, Philippines (May, 2026) – Independent Filipino hospitality brands are beginning to reshape lifestyle travel in the Philippines—and The Lind Hotels is helping lead the shift.

Long overshadowed by larger regional markets dominated by international operators, the Philippines is increasingly gaining recognition for a new generation of homegrown hospitality brands focused on design, wellness, personalised service, and experience-led stays.

Among the companies helping drive that momentum is The Lind Hotels, an independently developed Filipino hospitality group that has steadily built a reputation through lifestyle-led destinations, strong culinary programming, wellness, and a distinctly Filipino approach to hospitality.

“Our philosophy is that Philippine hospitality can resonate globally while still remaining proudly Filipino,” said Pierre Henrichs, COO of The Lind Hotels. “Authenticity, warmth, creativity, and emotional connection are what travellers increasingly remember most.”

At the centre of the group’s success is The Lind Boracay, located on White Beach Station 1, widely regarded as Boracay’s most exclusive stretch of shoreline. The property is distinguished not only by its rare direct beachfront access, but also by an evolving guest experience that places intuitive hospitality and meaningful guest connection at the heart of the stay.

A defining milestone came in 2025 when the MICHELIN Guide made its Philippine debut. In a landmark moment for both the company and the wider industry, The Lind Boracay became the first and only hotel in Boracay to be featured by the guide, positioning the independent Filipino brand alongside internationally recognised hospitality names.

A key part of the resort’s evolution is its long-standing collaboration with The Spa Wellness, one of the Philippines’ pioneering wellness operators and the country’s first spa brand to receive Superbrand status. An accredited member of the International Spa Association (ISPA), The Spa Wellness brings an established wellness philosophy into the resort environment, helping shape a more holistic guest experience centred around restoration, balance, and meaningful care.

Over the past decade, the group has continued refining every aspect of the guest journey, from food and beverage and wellness to lifestyle programming and personalised service.

The company’s recent evolution forms part of a broader reassessment undertaken during its tenth anniversary year, when The Lind Hotels also introduced a refreshed brand identity centred around human connection, meaningful hospitality, and more experience-driven travel.

The rebrand marked a return to the company’s core philosophy: fostering stronger people-to-people relationships across teams, travel partners, suppliers, and guests, while placing greater emphasis on the guest journey from the very first stage of trip planning through to the stay itself.

“As part of our ten-year milestone, we went back to the drawing board and asked ourselves where we were ten years ago and where we are today,” Henrichs said. “The entire brand has been refreshed. More than anything, we wanted to return to the human side of hospitality and focus on genuine connection at every touchpoint of the guest experience. Hospitality is about continual improvement and adapting to what modern travellers are looking for.”

Looking ahead, the company’s future developments in Coron and Siargao reflect both confidence in Philippine tourism and growing international demand for more meaningful, nature-driven, and experience-led travel.

At a time when travellers are increasingly prioritising authenticity over standardisation, brands like The Lind Hotels are helping demonstrate that world-class hospitality experiences can be created in the Philippines while remaining closely connected to local culture, people, and place.

“We believe the Philippines has the potential to become one of the world’s great hospitality destinations,” Henrichs said. “There is incredible warmth here, extraordinary natural beauty, and a growing confidence among Filipino brands to create experiences that feel globally relevant while still remaining distinctly local.”

The Lind Hotels Expands Beyond Boracay

Independent Filipino brand sets sights on Coron and Siargao as it builds a multi-island portfolio

BORACAY, Philippines (April , 2026) – The Lind Hotels is expanding beyond Boracay, with Coron set to open next year and Siargao to follow.

The move marks a clear next phase for the independent Filipino brand, as it evolves from a single standout property into a carefully curated, multi-island portfolio shaped by a guest-first and adaptive approach.

The Lind Boracay, set on the prime stretch of Station 1 White Beach on the Philippines’ most famous paradise island, has long been the foundation of the brand. The reputation of the property, which was the first MICHELIN Guide-listed hotel on Boracay, has been built not only on location, but on a way of thinking that places the guest at the centre of every decision.

Indeed, the MICHELIN Guide recognition remains a meaningful milestone that continues to shape its positioning today.

Rather than following the rigid frameworks of international operators, the hotel was conceived as a place its founders would want to stay in themselves—personal, considered, and constantly evolving.

That mindset has translated into strong guest loyalty and steady growth, with repeat visitors forming a core part of the property’s success. Over the years, the hotel has continued to evolve in response to guest feedback, from introducing new dining concepts such as authentic Thai venue Yim to refining wellness and leisure offerings across the property.

“The question we always ask ourselves is simple: if we were the guest, what would we enjoy?” says Pierre Henrichs, COO of The Lind Hotels. “That mindset has guided everything we’ve built, and it continues to shape how we grow.”

The Lind Coron marks the first step in this next chapter. Slated to open next year, the new property will introduce a more personalized, villa-led experience, set on a peninsula that offers a sense of seclusion while remaining connected to the mainland. Designed to feel distinct from Boracay’s lifestyle-driven energy, the development will feature multiple restaurants, a dive centre, and a broader mix of recreational and wellness facilities.

The Lind Siargao, meanwhile, reflects a similar strategic approach: identifying destinations with strong appeal but limited high-quality supply. Often referred to as the surf capital of The Philippines, the teardrop-shaped island in Mindanao Province is one of the nation’s most idyllic hideaways. With few comparable properties currently operating on the island, the project represents an opportunity for The Lind Hotels to establish an early foothold in a fast-evolving market.

For the brand, expansion is not about scale for its own sake. Each location is selected for its long-term potential and its ability to support a distinct interpretation of the Lind experience.

“We chose to remain independent because it allows us to move quickly, adapt, and build something that truly reflects who we are,” says Henrichs. “We are not trying to grow everywhere at once. We want to do it properly, step by step.”

That independence has become a defining strength. Without the constraints of a global management structure, The Lind has been able to respond to changing guest expectations, refine its offering in real time, and maintain a clear sense of identity across its operations.

Looking ahead, the brand’s ambitions extend beyond its current pipeline. “We’ve built something in Boracay that people connect with,” says Henrichs. “As we expand into Coron and Siargao, the priority is to keep that same spirit—independent, adaptable, and always shaped around the guest.”
