The LaLiT Ashok Bangalore Appoints Chef Shahul Hameed as Executive Chef

The LaLiT Ashok Bangalore has appointed Chef Shahul Hameed as Executive Chef. With more than 23 years of experience across hospitality brands and international kitchens, he will oversee the hotel’s banquet operations, specialty dining and overall culinary direction.

Chef Shahul began his career in Chennai in 2002 and has since worked with The Leela Palace Bangalore, Taj Vivanta Bangalore, Carnival Cruise Line in the USA, Millennium Hotel in Saudi Arabia, the Adarsh Group and ITC Fortune Select Trinity / Trinity by Marriott.

His time abroad shaped the way he leads a kitchen. At Carnival Cruise Line he worked alongside colleagues from more than 50 nationalities, and in the Middle East he taught himself Arabic within three months so he could communicate with his team and run kitchen operations.

His cooking draws on the warmth of home-style food, combined with professional technique, seasonal produce and considered presentation. He sums up his approach as authentic flavours, modern expression, regional pride and refinement without dilution.

“We are delighted to welcome Chef Shahul Hameed to The LaLiT Ashok Bangalore. His extensive experience across diverse culinary environments, coupled with his understanding of authentic flavours and regional cuisine, will bring valuable depth to our culinary operations. We look forward to his leadership in strengthening our offerings, nurturing our culinary team and creating memorable experiences for our guests,” said Younis Khan, Hotel Manager, The LaLiT Ashok Bangalore.

“I am delighted to join The LaLiT Ashok Bangalore and look forward to bringing together authentic flavours, regional influences and contemporary culinary expression. My aim is to create memorable food experiences while building a strong, collaborative team and continuing to learn and evolve as a chef,” said Chef Shahul, who will focus on culinary consistency, team development and a kitchen culture grounded in collaboration, respect and sustainability.
