New Delhi, July 2022:  IHG® Hotels & Resorts, one of the world’s leading hotel companies, has signed an agreement with Doreen Hotels & Resorts Limited, to open Crowne Plaza Dhaka Gulshan in Bangladesh by the end of 2022. IHG currently has a presence in Dhaka through hotels operating across its leading global brands, InterContinental and Holiday Inn, both of which are located in the old business district of the city. Crowne Plaza Dhaka Gulshan will become IHG’s third hotel to open in the city and will further strengthen the company’s offering for both business and leisure travelers looking for quality hospitality experiences.

 

Strategically located in the heart of Gulshan 2 area, the Central Business District and the highest-rated market in Dhaka, the hotel is spread over two sites - the first is in the mixed-use Tower block with 119 rooms, while the second Tower is in close proximity featuring 30 suites with independent facilities. Being in an affluent neighborhood and at a convenient distance from the city centre, shopping malls, popular restaurants, as well as from the Dhaka airport, the hotel will be a great choice for leisure travelers. July 2022, New Delhi: IHG® Hotels & Resorts, one of the world’s leading hotel companies has signed a management agreement with Dahej Hotels & Hospitality Pvt. Ltd a subsidiary of Karmvir Group, for a new hotel – Holiday Inn Express Dahej Bharuch Road in Gujarat. The new-built hotel featuring 120 keys is expected to be operational by the first quarter of 2025. The hotel will not only solidify IHG’s presence in the state of Gujarat but also strengthen the company’s growth in secondary markets, in line with the growing demand for quality branded accommodation in the country.    

Strategically located on Dahej Bharuch main road, the hotel will have easy access to all the major companies in Dahej Port city. Dahej is an all-weather direct berthing port with multi-cargo capacity situated on international maritime routes. This makes it the preferred port for the cargo hubs functioning in the northern, western states, and union territories of India. Shiny strands of recycled aluminum are woven between the indigo threads, depicting the negative human impacts on marine life and encouraging dialogue on ocean conservation.

Vignette Collection hotels prioritise creating and cherishing a sense of place. With this in mind, local design studio, P49 Deesign utilised the story of the Bangkok Tram to enhance the design of the hotel's lobby area. From the 1920's until 1968, the Silom line would pass Ratchadamri Road – just moments from Sindhorn Midtown – before terminating at Pratunam intersection. Dark metal symbolised tram tracks that previously ran by the hotel, and is applied to the front desk at the hotel lobby by P49 Deesign.

Each of its 393 rooms feature large format bathroom amenities from Karl Lagerfeld and modern comforts such as Fritz Hansen’s iconic Drop™ chairs. The Fitness Centre offers panoramic city views, as does the Horizon Pool, which is located on the 18th floor. Works by Fine Art Photographer, Visarute Angkatavanich, whose image of a Siamese fighting fish was launched on the iPhone 6s in 2015, can be found on every floor.

 

The hotel recently introduced three new eclectic dining offerings; The Black Cat is an atmospheric Thai Liquor bar, with live band playing on selected evenings. SIEM REAP, Cambodia – Raffles Grand Hotel d’Angkor, one of the most iconic heritage properties in Southeast Asia, reopens its doors to guests on 1st June 2022 for the first time in almost three years.


First opened in 1932 and widely celebrated as La Grande Dame de Angkor, the hotel has been welcoming discerning travelers and famous faces – from Charlie Chaplin to Jackie Kennedy and Michelle Obama - to the historic heart of Cambodia for almost ninety years.

 

The hotel underwent a delicate transformation in 2019 with rooms and suites receiving a meticulous facelift before the global pause in travel. The guestrooms feature lighter and brighter interiors as well as the addition of Segafredo coffee machines, USB charging stations and Simmons pillow-top mattresses. The French windows, which swing open to views of street scenes or the plantation-style grounds of the hotel, have been upgraded, and each room now has a writing desk and vintage rotary telephone, thanks in part to the added floor space created by removing cabinets and replacing them with built-in wardrobes. All bathrooms have also been upgraded with new Italian tiling and rain showers. The traditional ceiling fans remain, as well as the beautiful views of the Royal Gardens or the resort’s iconic swimming pool.

Inspired Design
JW Marriott Hotel São Paulo was conceived after extensive research on Brazilian architecture, landscaping, craftsmanship and natural resources, to prioritize national materials in its construction. Renowned, U.S.-based architecture firm HKS, Inc. developed and brought to life the bespoke design elements found throughout the hotel’s public spaces, guest rooms and suites. The expertly manicured landscaping was designed by architect Sérgio Santana, who prioritized native trees from the Atlantic Forest and plants from the natural biome to attract birds and native animals.
