Inside Mumbai’s New Wave of Design-Forward Cocktail Bars

Mumbai’s cocktail culture is entering a new chapter. For years, the city’s nightlife leaned toward large venues, high-energy music, and drinks designed for speed rather than experience. Today, however, a new generation of bars is shifting the conversation toward atmosphere, architecture, and thoughtful design spaces where the setting shapes how the evening unfolds.

Across neighbourhoods like Bandra, bars are increasingly embracing a slower, more intentional approach to hospitality. Lighting, spatial flow, textures, and acoustics are becoming as important as the cocktails themselves. These design-forward spaces are smaller, more intimate, and crafted to encourage conversation and lingering, reflecting a global shift where cocktail bars feel closer to cultural living rooms than nightlife venues.

Tucked discreetly behind the white façade of Olive in Bandra, Call Me Sofia is one of the most compelling examples of this design-forward movement. Conceived by AD Singh and the Olive Group, the bar introduces a concept rarely explored in the city before the Italian aperitivo ritual, where the early evening becomes a moment to pause, gather, and ease gradually into the night.

Unlike traditional cocktail bars that centre themselves around a dominant bar counter or dramatic design statement, Sofia’s layout unfolds with deliberate softness. The semi-open structure allows the space to breathe, drawing in natural light and air from the courtyard while creating a fluid connection between indoors and outdoors. As daylight fades, the bar gradually transforms from a sunlit gathering space into a warm, golden refuge that feels perfectly suited to lingering conversations.

The design, led by Sabina Singh and the Olive Group’s in-house team, blends rustic Italian references with Bandra’s relaxed sensibility. Warm wood tones, textured surfaces, and softly lit alcoves create a space that feels quietly elegant rather than performative. At its centre stands a long-standing tree from the Olive courtyard, thoughtfully integrated into the bar’s layout as an organic focal point that anchors the room in both memory and place.

This thoughtful design philosophy reflects a broader shift in Mumbai’s hospitality landscape. Rather than overwhelming guests with spectacle, bars like Call Me Sofia are crafting environments where people instinctively slow down. The architecture invites conversation, the lighting softens the evening, and the space itself becomes part of the experience.

As Mumbai’s evolving drinkers grow increasingly curious about more mindful, design-forward cocktail bars, Sofia doesn’t attempt to dominate the room. Instead, it quietly shapes the evening around it, one where architecture, ambience, and aperitivo cocktails come together to create a space that feels as much about the moment as it does about the drink.

ELIVAAS Strengthens Its Rajasthan Footprint with its first Pushkar Address, Taking State Portfolio to 60 + Properties

New Delhi, March 2026: ELIVAAS continues its steady expansion across Rajasthan’s culturally rich leisure landscape with the launch of its first property in Pushkar, ELIVAAS Tuscun Villa. With this addition, the brand’s portfolio in the state now stands at 60+ properties across Udaipur, Jaipur, Ranthambore, Pushkar, Alwar and Neemrana, under ELIVAAS, ELIVAAS Privé and Alaya Stays.

This new Pushkar address underscores ELIVAAS’s calibrated growth strategy in experience-led destinations. Rather than rapid scale, the brand has focused on measured expansion into markets with sustained demand for private villas, curated group stays, and destination celebrations. Over the past few years, ELIVAAS has steadily strengthened its presence in Rajasthan, building right density in key micro-markets while maintaining operational discipline.

Every new launch is anchored by a standardised service playbook that governs housekeeping benchmarks, guest response systems, safety protocols and quality audits. At the same time, each stay is shaped around guest preferences and occasion-specific requirements, allowing personalisation to coexist with consistency.

“Rajasthan today represents one of our most strategically important regions, with 60+ operational properties across key leisure destinations. Our entry into Pushkar is backed by destination-level demand data rather than sentiment. The town has seen a steady rise in premium leisure travel over the past few years, particularly from Delhi NCR and Jaipur, with a clear shift towards private, high-quality villa stays. As we expand, our standardised operating playbook ensures service consistency across locations, while each villa continues to offer a curated and personalised experience. Beyond accommodation, we deliver end-to-end holiday experiences, from curated activities and local immersion to personalised service, ensuring every stay is seamless and memorable. Our focus remains on building depth within high-intent leisure markets rather than expanding indiscriminately across geographies,” said Ritwik Khare, Founder and CEO of ELIVAAS Living.

The newly introduced ELIVAAS Tuscun Villa, a five-bedroom pet-friendly retreat with a private pool and landscaped lawn, complements Pushkar’s heritage setting with contemporary comfort. Located within an accessible distance of the town’s temples and lakes, the villa strengthens ELIVAAS’s commitment to destination-led growth.

ELIVAAS continues to scale through disciplined expansion, service standardisation and thoughtful entry into culturally resonant markets. Pushkar marks another assured step in that journey.

THERAPY Cafe & Bar Expands Its Footprint in Mumbai with a Fourth Outlet in Dadar

Mumbai, March, 2026: Mumbai’s favourite hangout spot THERAPY is set to open its newest outlet in Dadar at Kohinoor Square, following the success of its Khar, Versova and Borivali locations. This launch marks the brand’s fourth outlet and its continued expansion across key neighbourhoods in the city.

Strategically located within Mumbai’s tallest corporate hub, the Dadar outlet introduces a co-working-friendly environment during the day, complete with a strong coffee program, a lunch spot for people around, comfortable seating, and an easygoing atmosphere, while also serving as a convenient lunch spot for people around the area. As the day progresses, the space transitions into a vibrant bar featuring cocktails, pitchers, arcade games, karaoke nights, screenings, and DJ-led evenings.

The Dadar menu blends crowd favourites with local flavour. Chef specials include Crunchy Chickpeas, Peri Peri Chicken Tenders, Mezze Platter, Farmhouse Pizza, and Boneless Gochujang Chicken Wings. Adding a neighbourhood twist are Dadar exclusives such as the Vada Pav Slider, a hearty Misal Thali for lunch, and Thecha Paneer or Prawns, a nod to the area’s iconic taste profile.

On the drinks front, THERAPY keeps things loud and unapologetic. Party Pitchers feature the Electric LIIT, a heady mix of vodka, rum, gin, tequila, lime juice, Red Bull and blue curaçao — served with its staple rubber ducky. The Fishbowl LIIT, including the Midnight Fishbowl with blue pea infused gin, tequila and blue pea flower, makes for a dramatic table moment. The Barman’s Peach Pitcher brings a fresh spin to beer-based cocktails, blending lager with vodka, white rum, gin, tequila, peach and cranberry juice, a must-try for both beer and cocktail lovers.

For craft beer enthusiasts, the line-up includes Hefeweizen, Apple Cider, Kokum Cider, Mexican Lager, Belgian Wit, German Lager, and two additional rotating craft beers or ciders. Rounding it out is an old-school cold coffee, a nostalgic daytime addition that fits seamlessly into THERAPY’s all-day format.

Sharing his excitement about opening a new branch in Dadar, Rishab Verma, Founder, THERAPY said, “One of the most exciting aspects is seeing THERAPY expand beyond just nightlife and watching that vision genuinely come to life on-ground. The intention is simple: someone should be able to walk in at 9AM and comfortably work, meet a friend, or spend a few hours and then walk into the same space at 9 PM and feel like they’re in a buzzing bar. This outlet represents a more mature version of THERAPY, without losing its playfulness”

Adding to its high-energy appeal, THERAPY also functions as a dynamic sports bar, making it a go-to destination during major tournaments and match seasons. With large-format screens, immersive sound, and a lively community atmosphere, the space transforms into a buzzing hub for cricket screenings, football nights, and other sporting events.

Founded in 2020, THERAPY was built around a simple idea: people don’t just step out for food and drinks, they step out to unwind, connect, and feel better. The brand blends café culture by day with high-energy bar programming by night, creating a space that feels equally suited for a work meeting, a casual catch-up, or a late-night celebration.

Music and programming remain central to the brand’s identity. Carefully curated playlists, themed nights, game-based formats, and community collaborations ensure the outlet feels dynamic throughout the week. The focus is on participation, encouraging guests to engage, compete, laugh, and return.

In a competitive F&B landscape, THERAPY differentiates itself through emotional relatability and playfulness rather than formality. Its interactive elements, conversational tone, and approachable service model position it as a neighbourhood hangout rather than a traditional bar. As THERAPY enters this new chapter, the vision remains unchanged: create spaces where guests walk in carrying the weight of their day, and walk out feeling lighter.

Kaziranga Heritage Inaugurated by Assam Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma

A landmark heritage hospitality initiative through Public–Private Partnership

Kaziranga Heritage, a distinctive heritage hospitality destination located in the heart of Assam’s globally renowned Kaziranga landscape, was formally inaugurated on 3rd March 2026 by the Honourable Chief Minister of Assam, Himanta Biswa Sarma, in the presence of dignitaries, officials, and distinguished guests.

The project marks a significant milestone in Assam’s tourism development, being a strategic Public–Private Partnership (PPP) between the Assam Tourism Development Corporation (ATDC) and Centre Point Hospitality Group. The initiative reflects a shared vision to strengthen heritage tourism infrastructure while celebrating the ecological, cultural, and historical legacy of Kaziranga.

A Hospitality Experience Rooted in Landscape and History

Set amidst the floodplains shaped by the Brahmaputra River system and the Kohora River, Kaziranga Heritage has been envisioned not as a resort that competes with its surroundings, but one that quietly participates in the landscape. The estate sits within a region whose conservation story spans more than a century—from its early designation as a proposed reserve forest in 1905 to its recognition as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, a legacy that continues to shape the experience offered to visitors.

The property celebrates the intersection of heritage, ecology, and contemporary hospitality, offering guests a stay that is deeply connected to the rhythms of Kaziranga’s natural environment.

Bonani Bungalow: The Historic Heart of the Estate

At the centre of the estate stands Bonani Bungalow, the historic core of Kaziranga Heritage. Guest records preserved within the property date back to 1938, making it one of the earliest documented hospitality structures associated with Kaziranga’s tourism history.

Built in the colonial Assam-type architectural tradition, Bonani reflects a practical elegance shaped by climate and terrain—featuring raised plinths to accommodate seasonal floods, deep verandahs for shade, and steep sloping roofs designed to endure monsoon conditions. Archival registers and photographs preserved at the property quietly trace Kaziranga’s transformation from vulnerable grasslands into one of the world’s most celebrated wildlife landscapes.

An Estate Designed Around Heritage and Ecology

The estate comprises 28 thoughtfully designed rooms distributed across multiple heritage-inspired living spaces:

  • Bonani Bungalow – 10 heritage rooms forming the historic core

  • Bonoshree – 8 rooms envisioned as a cultural salon, integrating curated literature, archival imagery, and art that explore Assam’s ecological and Vaishnavite traditions

  • Kohora River View Cottages – 6 cottages overlooking the serene Kohora River floodplains

  • Kunjobon Presidential Suites & Duplex – 4 luxury suites with private plunge pools, landscaped courtyards, and elevated views toward the Orchid Park

Across the estate, Assam-type architectural principles remain consistent, with elevated structures, transitional verandah spaces, and natural materials chosen for durability and climate sensitivity.

Culinary Heritage: Dining Inspired by Assamese Traditions

Kaziranga Heritage also introduces a 48-seater destination restaurant, where culinary traditions of Assam are interpreted through wood-fired chullah cooking techniques. The menu celebrates slow-cooked regional recipes prepared with locally sourced ingredients while drawing subtle inspiration from Southeast Asian influences that historically shaped Assam’s culinary landscape.

The restaurant’s architecture itself draws inspiration from the traditional Assamese Jaapi, an enduring symbol of hospitality and welcome. The roof design reinterprets the form through contemporary architectural expression, featuring a ceramic articulation along the ridge created by Assamese ceramic artist Jaya Boro, who also serves as Head of the Department at Shantiniketan’s ceramic studio. The roof is crowned with a copper pinnacle, reinforcing the cultural symbolism embedded in the structure.

Art, Culture and Conservation Narratives

Kaziranga Heritage integrates art and history as part of the guest experience. The estate’s curated art collection includes works by Assamese artist Mridu Moshum Bora, whose paintings depict Vaishnavite traditions, dance forms, and the wildlife landscapes of Kaziranga.

The property also features dedicated tributes to legendary Assamese cultural icons Bhupen Hazarika and Zubeen Garg, acknowledging the profound influence of music and storytelling in shaping Assam’s cultural identity.

Historic wildlife photographs, including archival works attributed to noted conservationist Edward Pritchard Gee, are preserved within the estate. These photographs document a time when the survival of Kaziranga’s wildlife was uncertain and serve as a reminder of the conservation efforts that helped transform the region into one of the world’s most important wildlife habitats.

A Collaborative Cultural Endeavour

Kaziranga Heritage stands as a collaborative endeavour that brings together architects, artists, historians, naturalists, and craftsmen from Assam. From the architectural language of the estate to the art installations and culinary traditions, the project reflects a collective effort by individuals deeply connected to the land and culture of the region.

Strengthening Heritage Tourism in Assam

The inauguration of Kaziranga Heritage represents a significant step toward enhancing Assam’s heritage and eco-tourism ecosystem. Through its Public–Private Partnership model, the project demonstrates how thoughtful hospitality infrastructure can preserve historical memory, celebrate cultural identity, and contribute to sustainable tourism development.

With its blend of history, architecture, art, and landscape, Kaziranga Heritage seeks to offer visitors not merely accommodation, but an experience that reflects the enduring spirit of Assam and the evolving story of Kaziranga.

Sayaji Hotels Expands Strategic Presence with Business-Centric Effotel by Sayaji in Sangli

Sangli, Maharashtra, March, 2026: In a significant development for Western Maharashtra’s hospitality landscape, Sayaji Hotels announced the launch of Effotel by Sayaji, Sangli, the group’s newest property under its Effotel brand. Strategically located within Shiv R City Mall on Sangli-Miraj Road, the property marks a timely entry into Sangli, a city long known for its robust commercial and agricultural activity yet notably underserved in quality branded accommodation.

This addition makes Effotel by Sayaji, Sangli, the third Effotel property in Maharashtra, joining its sister properties in Sarola, Pune district, and Navi Mumbai, reinforcing the group’s deepening commitment to the state and its vision of bringing mid-upscale hospitality to Tier-2 and Tier-3 markets.

Effotel by Sayaji, Sangli offers 59 thoughtfully appointed guest rooms across five categories: 15 Grande Rooms (284 sq. ft.), 34 Premium Grande Rooms (309 sq. ft.), 6 Executive Grande Rooms (373 sq. ft.), 2 Grande Suites (506 sq. ft.), and 2 Premium Suites (766 sq. ft.), catering to business travellers, leisure guests, and discerning long-stay visitors alike.

Dining at the property is set to be a key highlight, with two distinct food and beverage outlets: The Cube, an all-day dining restaurant with a capacity of 120 covers, and Good Old Days, a bar seating 30 guests, catering to both hotel residents and local patrons seeking quality dining experiences in the city.

The hotel features two versatile banquet spaces, Jardin 1 and Jardin 2. Jardin 1 spans 4,295 sq. ft. and can accommodate up to 350 guests in theatre-style seating, while Jardin 2 covers 2,355 sq. ft. with a capacity of 150 guests in a theatre format. Together, they position Effotel by Sayaji, Sangli as a well-equipped MICE and social event destination in the city, a significant advantage in a market that has historically lacked premium banqueting facilities.

Widely regarded as the Turmeric Capital of India, Sangli is a thriving agrarian and commercial hub also known for its grape cultivation. Conveniently located just 7 km from Sangli Railway Station and 50 km from Kolhapur Airport, the property ensures easy access for both domestic travellers and regional visitors.

The property’s location is particularly strategic given Sangli’s proximity to Kolhapur, a major cultural and commercial centre housing the revered Mahalakshmi Temple and a rapidly growing business district, as well as access to notable regional attractions including Chandoli National Park in the Western Ghats, Sagareshwar Wildlife Sanctuary, Sangli Fort, and the serene Dandoba Hills Forest Reserve.

Mr. Rajendra Joshi, Associate General Manager at Sayaji Hotels, said, “Sangli has always been an economically active and culturally significant city, yet it has not had the branded hospitality infrastructure its stature deserves. Effotel by Sayaji, Sangli changes that narrative. This is not just another hotel opening; it is a commitment to elevating the travel and events experience for an entire region. With our Effotel brand, we bring the promise of quality, warmth, and value to markets ready to embrace it. The Kolhapur-Sangli belt represents tremendous potential for business and leisure travel, and we are proud to be the first from our portfolio to plant our flag here.”

Mr. Avinash Gangwani, Director, LKG Lifestyle LLP, shared, “When we envisioned this project, we saw a clear gap. Sangli is a city that punches well above its weight economically, but visitors and business delegations have had very few quality accommodation options. Being part of the Effotel by Sayaji family brings not just a trusted brand name but a proven model of hospitality excellence. Now that we have handed over our property to Sayaji Group, we place complete trust in their exceptional services and operational expertise. We are confident this property will redefine Sangli’s position on Maharashtra’s hospitality map and will serve as a catalyst for the city’s growing tourism and corporate event ecosystem, especially given our proximity to the pilgrimage and tourism circuit around Kolhapur.”

For families, pilgrims, corporate delegates, MICE groups, agri-trade professionals visiting Sangli’s markets, and tourists using Sangli as a base to explore the Kolhapur-Sangli belt, this property is set to become a natural first choice.

Five-Star Hotel Project in Silchar; Polo Hotels Group to Develop First Luxury Property in Barak Valley

Silchar, March, 2026: In a major boost to hospitality infrastructure in Southern Assam, the Assam Cabinet has approved the development of Silchar’s first five-star hotel, to be built by Polo Hotels Group with an investment of approximately ₹103 crore. The announcement marks a significant step towards strengthening the tourism, business, and events ecosystem of the Barak Valley.

Announcing the decision, Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma, Hon’ble Chief Minister of Assam said, “Today, our cabinet has given a go ahead to construct a Five Star hotel in Silchar, to Polo Hotels Group. The Polo Hotels Group will be spending around 103 crore rupees on this project. This is going to be the first five-star hotel in Silchar.”

The project will introduce international-standard luxury hospitality infrastructure to the Barak Valley for the first time, positioning Silchar, the commercial and administrative hub of Southern Assam, to host high-value travel, corporate engagements, and large-scale events.

International-Standard Hospitality Infrastructure

The proposed luxury hotel will feature 100 premium rooms and suites, designed to meet global hospitality benchmarks while reflecting the cultural character of the Barak Valley.

Key facilities will include multiple specialty restaurants and bars, a resort-style swimming pool, a full-service spa and wellness centre, a modern fitness facility, and state-of-the-art banquet and conference infrastructure capable of hosting corporate summits, exhibitions, weddings, and government events.

Industry analysts note that India’s hospitality sector has witnessed a strong rebound in recent years. According to tourism estimates, India recorded more than 2.3 billion domestic tourist visits in 2023, while demand for MICE tourism (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Exhibitions) has expanded rapidly across emerging regional cities.

Expansion Strategy of Polo Hotels Group

The Silchar project forms part of an ambitious expansion plan by Polo Hotels Group, one of Northeast India’s most established hospitality brands.

Alongside the Silchar development, the Group is currently building 10 additional hotels across Meghalaya, Tripura, West Bengal, and Nagaland, significantly expanding its footprint across Eastern and Northeastern India. This pipeline of projects is expected to position the company among the largest hospitality operators headquartered in Northeast India, reinforcing its long-term commitment to developing world-class tourism and hospitality infrastructure across the region.

Mr. Deval Tibrewalla, Chief Executive Officer of Polo Hotels Group, said, “Silchar is one of the most important gateway cities in Northeast India, and requires hospitality infrastructure required to support its growing economic and institutional importance. This project is not just about building a hotel; it is about enabling the next phase of growth for the Barak Valley. As a company rooted in the Northeast, we see it as our responsibility to bring world-class experiences to emerging cities and unlock their full potential. The Silchar hotel, along with our expanding pipeline across the region, reflects our long-term commitment to building the largest and most trusted hospitality platform in Northeast India.”

Economic Impact and Employment

Hospitality infrastructure projects of this scale generate significant multiplier effects across local economies. Industry estimates suggest that each hotel room can generate around 2 direct jobs, along with additional employment across sectors such as food supply chains, transportation, event management, and local services.

The Silchar project is therefore expected to create substantial direct and indirect employment opportunities, while supporting local businesses, producers, and service providers across the Barak Valley.

Strengthening Tourism and Business Travel

Once operational, the hotel is expected to establish a new benchmark for luxury hospitality in Southern Assam, enabling Silchar to host national-level conferences, policy meetings, corporate gatherings, and destination events that were previously constrained by the lack of premium accommodation facilities.

The development also reflects a broader shift in India’s hospitality landscape, where emerging regional cities are increasingly becoming the next frontier for tourism and business travel infrastructure.

Jacob’s Brew House Makes Its Debut in Jaipur, Bringing a New Wave of Coffee and Community Culture

National, March: Jaipur’s evolving hospitality landscape welcomes Jacob’s Brew House, a design-led, all-day café and specialty coffee destination that brings together craftsmanship, community, and contemporary café culture. The space introduces a vibrant social sanctuary that reflects Jaipur’s long-standing craftsmanship traditions while offering a modern, lifestyle-driven experience.

Inspired by Sir Samuel Swinton Jacob’s architectural legacy, Jacob’s Brew House reinterprets design through a Rustic Garage aesthetic, blending historical elegance with industrial textures and contemporary detailing. The result is an immersive environment that balances Jaipur’s artistic spirit with a dynamic and high-energy café format.

At the heart of the experience is the specialty coffee program, led by UAE Barista Champion Sonam Dorje Sherpa. The program focuses on traceable sourcing, precise roasting profiles, and carefully calibrated brewing techniques, ensuring each cup reflects the origin of the bean. The menu complements the beverage program with globally inspired offerings, including Neapolitan pizzas, handmade pastas, and American-style smash burgers. While influenced by European and Mediterranean café traditions, the flavors are adapted to Jaipur’s palate, balancing international techniques with approachable, comfort-driven tastes.

Speaking about the concept, Sagar Nagpal, Founder at Jacob’s Brew House shares, “Jacob’s Brew House was born from a desire to create a space where craftsmanship and community coexist. The garage-inspired interiors, paired with a Robata-style open fire kitchen, create a sensory environment where design, aroma, and flavour converge to deliver an engaging guest journey.

With a long-term vision to become a cultural landmark in Jaipur, Jacob’s Brew House aims to redefine café culture, setting new benchmarks in thematic dining, specialty coffee, and community-driven hospitality.

The Studs Sports Bar & Grill Opens Flagship Taproom & Diner in Sahakarnagar, Expanding Its Upgraded Social Sports Bar Format in North Bangalore After Embassy Tech Village Success

The Studs – a social bar built for daily dining, curated drinks and the shared energy of sports.

Bangalore, March 2026 – Following the continued success of its high-energy outlet at Embassy Tech Village and JP Nagar, The Studs Sports Bar & Grill expands further in Bangalore with the launch of its next flagship in Sahakarnagar — an evolved, neighbourhood-first format tailored for North Bangalore’s growing residential and corporate community. The doors officially open to the public from 7th March onwards

The Sahakarnagar outlet marks a strategic upgrade in the brands' city journey, building on the loyalty developed at its earlier JP Nagar presence, while introducing a refined, everyday social bar experience designed for habit-driven dining and weekday culture.

Spread across 5,000 sq. ft. with a 130-seater layout, the outlet is positioned as an ideal neighbourhood daily bar — a place to stress bust after work, host casual corporate evenings, gather with family, or unwind over great food and drinks without crossing the city.

With 10 beers on tap, including multiple Craft beers, the space offers one of the stronger tap programs in North Bangalore, complemented by curated cocktails and a menu engineered for repeat visits.

“The momentum we have seen at Embassy Tech Village reaffirmed that people are looking for immersive yet comfortable social spaces,” said Miten Shah, Co-Founder. “With Sahakarnagar, we have taken that learning and evolved it further. This is not positioned as just a match destination — it’s designed to become part of the neighbourhood’s everyday rhythm.”

Abhilash Menon, Co-Founder, added, “Sahakarnagar allowed us to upgrade the format. While live sport remains part of our DNA, this outlet balances that energy with warmth and familiarity. It’s an everyday bar for corporates around the area and a high-energy social sports club for residents — a space that feels just as natural on a Tuesday evening as it does during a tournament final.”

Designed for the Neighbourhood

Unlike traditional sports bars positioned purely around big-match screenings, the Sahakarnagar outlet introduces a balanced social environment. Premium audio-visual integration ensures immersive viewing without disturbing the dining experience.

The objective is simple: to become the default neighbourhood choice within a 3–4 km radius — a consistent, high-energy yet comfortable social space for residents and nearby corporates.

The menu is crafted for everyday dining, featuring contemporary global plates and modern Indian favourites designed for sharing — from Togarashi Lotus and Chilly Plum Babycorn to Truffle Mushroom Potli and Kalmi Paneer Tikka. Larger plates such as Tartufo Mushroom Pasta, Fiery Asian Sizzler, Chettinad Pepper Paneer, Spicy Cilantro Chicken Pizza, The Studs Smash Burger, and Slow-cooked Ceylon Lamb Curry add heartiness, while desserts like Rasmalai Panna Cotta and Dark Matter offer a memorable finish. With interactive gaming elements, curated music programming, and comfortable seating designed for extended sittings, the outlet blends vibrant sports culture with neighbourhood familiarity.

About The Studs Sports Bar & Grill

The Studs Sports Bar & Grill is one of India’s leading sports-led social bar chains, operating 15 outlets across key cities. Known for combining immersive match screenings with strong food and beverage programming, the brand continues to evolve into community-driven formats that balance sport, dining, and everyday social culture.
With expansion plans across India and international markets including the UAE, United States, and the UK, the brand represents a new-generation Indian hospitality concept built for both scale and neighbourhood relevance.

Spokespersons Profiles

City’s favourite Mangalorean Food Destination Bastian Ammakai Now Serves you Early Breakfast and a New Pre-Drinks Menu!

Bastian Ammakai, part of Ranjit Bindra’s Bastian Hospitality, has extended its operating rhythm with early breakfast hours and the introduction of a pre-drinks menu with Appa, further underscoring its all-day positioning.

Mornings at Ammakai now begin earlier, with breakfast service running from 9 AM to 12 PM. The refreshed format draws from comforting South Indian flavours such as Masala Dosas, ghee podi Idlis and Stuffed Paniyaram, complemented by a few global breakfast favourites, including waffles and wholesome breakfast bowls. The shift reflects evolving dining patterns, as hospitality spaces increasingly cater to early social meetings, work catch-ups and morning-led gatherings.

In the evening, the restaurant has introduced a Pre-Drinks Menu with Appa, creating a dedicated early-evening window before dinner and late-night plans. The menu features a 2+2 offer on select spirits, applicable to the first order of the same drink. Designed for guests who prefer starting their evenings out, this reflects the growing pre-drinking culture in urban cities, where socialising begins at restaurants rather than at home.

Commenting on the development, Ranjit Bindra, Founder and CEO of Bastian Hospitality, said, “As a hospitality company, we’re constantly observing how urban social habits are changing. There is a growing demand for well-curated morning breakfast spreads and early-evening experiences. With Ammakai, we saw an opportunity to address both within the same space, while keeping the food and beverages rooted in character.”

Notably, Ammakai marks Bastian Hospitality’s debut into Mangalorean cuisine. Conceptually rooted in the tastes and sensibilities of South Indian mothers, the restaurant positions itself around comfort-driven flavours and nostalgic memory-led cooking.

CAVORE Bengaluru: A Dining-First Nightlife Destination Where the Evening Evolves Naturally

Bengaluru, India 2026: In a city known for its discerning diners and ever-evolving nightlife, CAVORE Bengaluru emerges as a space that refuses to choose between the two. Located on Residency Road, CAVORE is a transformative dining and nightlife destination where food, music, and visual design flow together, shaping nights that unfold effortlessly rather than on cue.

CAVORE was born from the desire to create a place where food, music, and visuals don’t exist independently, but come together as one immersive experience,” says Naveen Prem, The Founder. “Bengaluru has incredible restaurants and great nightlife, but very few spaces where both worlds blend without feeling forced. We wanted to change that.

Designed as a space that transitions with the mood of the evening, CAVORE invites guests to slow down, settle in, and let the night take its course. Early hours are marked by warm lighting, intimate conversations, and a dining-forward atmosphere, which gradually transforms into a high-energy, music-led experience as the night progresses.

At the core of CAVORE is its thoughtfully curated menu, led by Chef Shivraj, whose culinary philosophy is deeply shaped by his upbringing as an army brat travelling across India.Food has always been a form of storytelling for us,” shares the team. “Chef Shivraj’s journey across regional kitchens shows up in the menu, through flavours, spices, and techniques that feel rooted yet contemporary.

The menu encourages sharing and exploration, beginning with vibrant starters such as CAVORE Summer Crush, a refreshing medley of grains, greens, and citrus, alongside playful street-inspired plates like Avo Bhel Tartare and Truffle Tomato Sev Puri, which reinterpret familiar Indian flavours through a refined, modern lens.

As the evening deepens, the menu moves into comforting yet expressive mains. Dishes like Moilee Butter Sauce Prawns bring coastal warmth to the table, while Tambda Rassa Ramen blends Maharashtrian spice with global technique. Vegetarian offerings such as the Kashmiri Veg Bowl sit alongside bold, flavour-forward plates including Spicy Guntur Chili Chicken, Yakhni Dum Pulao, and the deeply satisfying Bihari Lamb Curry, each dish designed to anchor long dinners that naturally extend into the night.

Desserts continue the narrative of nostalgia reimagined. Not a Mysore Pak offers a contemporary take on the classic sweet, while Thandai Milk Cake rounds off the experience with gentle spice and festive warmth, perfect for lingering conversations well past dinner.

The bar follows the same narrative-driven approach. Cocktails are expressive yet balanced, using Indian spices, berries, and indigenous ingredients in modern formats. From the masala tea inspired Himalayan Frost to the savoury, umami-led Caperoni, the drinks are crafted to complement the pace of the evening rather than dominate it.Our cocktails move in rhythm with the night; they're meant to enhance the experience, not overpower it,” Naveen Prem, The Founder explains.

Music is the pulse of CAVORE, with curated DJ nights and live performances forming the backbone of its identity. Known for its emerging “clubsert” culture, the venue hosts everything from dinner shows and house sets to techno, jazz, retro, and Bollywood ensuring no two nights feel the same. We want CAVORE to be known as the place where you discover great artists, not just a loud night out,” they add.

For Bengaluru’s nightlife veterans and first-time visitors alike, CAVORE is the kind of place you arrive at casually and end up staying far longer than planned. As Naveen Prem, The Founder puts it simply: It’s not just a high-energy club. It’s an experience where food, music, and ambience shape how the night turns.

About CAVORE:

CAVORE is a dining-first nightlife destination on Residency Road, Bengaluru, where food, music, and visual design come together as one immersive experience. Designed to evolve through the evening, the space transitions seamlessly from relaxed, dining-led hours to high-energy nights, anchored by India-forward cuisine, narrative-driven cocktails, and curated music programming.

Mumbai’s Frozen Fun Debuts Its Signature Gelato Experience at R City Mall

Frozen Fun has further strengthened its presence in Mumbai with the launch of its newest outlet at R City Mall. Located within one of the city’s most prominent retail destinations, the new store introduces the brand’s premium, experience-driven dessert concept to the eastern suburbs.

R City Mall was identified as a strategic location owing to its consistent footfall and diverse consumer base comprising families, young professionals, and Gen Z shoppers who demonstrate a strong affinity for elevated dining experiences. With this expansion, Frozen Fun reinforces its positioning as a premium dessert destination rather than a conventional ice cream offering within a mall environment.

The Ghatkopar outlet presents the brand’s full portfolio of artisanal gelato, alongside a comprehensive range of sundaes, shakes, frappes, signature gelato burgers, affogato, hot chocolate, and both iced and hot beverages including coffees and teas. The emphasis at this location is on dessert-led, shareable formats that align with contemporary consumption trends and experiential dining preferences.

In the coming weeks, the outlet will introduce a chocolate tap feature designed to pour warm liquid chocolate over gelato and desserts, further enhancing the sensory and experiential appeal of the store.

Spanning approximately 700 sq. ft., the outlet accommodates 15–20 seated guests, with additional standing space to efficiently manage walk-in mall traffic. The spatial design has been planned to ensure a balance between comfort and operational flow.

To commemorate the launch, the brand has implemented an in-store Spin the Wheel activation. Guests who share a story tagging @Frozenfungelato are eligible to participate once per visit, with rewards including complimentary toppings, a mini scoop, or exclusive discounts. This initiative aims to foster community engagement while enhancing the overall in-store experience.

With its debut at R City Mall, Frozen Fun continues its measured expansion across Mumbai, underscoring its commitment to quality craftsmanship, innovation, and experience-led dessert retail.

Roxie & Barry—An Indo-Italian Crafthouse Opens in Bangalore City

Bangalore’s dining landscape welcomes a distinctive new address with the launch of Roxie & Barry, India’s first Indo-Italian crafthouse that blends culinary philosophy, music, and storytelling into a deeply personal guest experience.

Conceived and led by restaurateur Pravesh Pandey, Roxie & Barry is not positioned as another Italian restaurant. Instead, it is a narrative-driven space inspired by two Italian coasts, two contrasting food cultures, and the reunion of two characters whose identities shape the menu and the mood.

The menu design is by Head of Culinary Jagdish Naidu and Head of Kitchen Operations Chef Abhrajyoti Nandy, while the bar programme is led by Sagar Sarki. Roxie represents the vibrant spirit of Italy’s western shoreline, particularly the Amalfi Coast—a region known for its celebratory cuisine, citrus-forward flavours, fresh seafood, tomatoes, and layered, expressive dishes. This is food that is bold, colourful and designed to be shared. From Roxie’s West Coast kitchen come distinctive creations such as Charred Pineapple al Piccante—gently smoked pineapple layered with coconut-turmeric sauce and goat cheese mousse; Ricotta & Truffle Agnolotti—house-made pasta parcels finished in sage butter and toasted hazelnuts; and Mediterranean Baked Seabass—delicately roasted with cherry tomatoes, olives, capers, and citrus zest.

Barry draws from the eastern coast, rooted in Apulia—where cuisine is shaped by land, restraint, and ingredient integrity. Olive oil-forward preparations, handmade durum wheat pastas, wild greens, legumes, and simply treated seafood define this side of the menu. Here, flavour develops through patience rather than excess. Barry’s East Coast menu leans into soulful, ingredient-led plates, including Lobster Bisque Risotto—slow-simmered and seafood-rich with layers of depth; Hummus & Lamb Bolognese—a comforting meeting of Middle Eastern warmth and Italian tradition; and Confit Duck Leg with Mushroom Jus—slow-cooked to tenderness and paired with silky mash and reduced jus.

At Roxie & Barry, these two culinary philosophies coexist—offering guests a table that balances indulgence and purity, glamour and humility.

Under Pravesh Pandey’s direction, the restaurant operates as a true crafthouse. Every foundational element is prepared in-house. Pastas are shaped and extruded fresh daily. Doughs are mixed, rested, and baked internally. Stocks and sauces are slow-cooked from raw ingredients. Compotes, pickles, and preserves are produced in small batches. The kitchen avoids commercial premixes and ready-made bases, prioritizing control, freshness, and authenticity.

Time is treated as an ingredient. Fermentation is respected. Reductions are not rushed. Preparation follows process rather than convenience.

The bar mirrors Barry’s philosophy—organic, spirit-forward, and intentionally restrained. Highlights from Barry’s Paradise include Barry’s Signature Picante, Scarlet Whisper, Pandon Moon, and Drink at Your Own Risk, while Roxie’s Secret Collection features Beni Hana, Summer in Sicilia, White Petronia, Tequila Flora, and much more.

Music plays a defining role in the brand identity. A daily 7 PM welcome ritual signals the start of the evening service, reinforcing the restaurant’s commitment to shared experience rather than passive dining. Live performances are curated to create an atmosphere rooted in personality, not background noise.

Sustainability and responsible sourcing are also embedded into operations, reflecting a philosophy that values seasonality, mindful procurement, and minimal-waste practices.

For Pravesh Pandey, Roxie & Barry represents a belief that the guest experience should feel intentional. “We wanted to build a place where craft replaces convenience and emotion sits comfortably beside discipline,” he shares. “This is about honest food, thoughtful drinks, and creating a space that feels alive.”

Housed in a restored mansion setting in Bangalore, Roxie & Barry aims to become more than a dining venue—positioning itself as a cultural landmark where food, music, and memory intersect.

Roxie & Barry officially opens its doors on 27 February 2026, inviting Bangalore’s diners to experience East and West Italy reinterpreted through Indian warmth and craftsmanship.

Gurgaon Welcomes a New Luxury Wellness Address with 7 Ocean Fitness & Wellness Club

7 Ocean Fitness & Wellness Club opens in Gurgaon this February as a new destination for holistic wellness, bringing together fitness, recovery, and mindful living within a refined, luxury-led environment. Designed as a one-stop space for modern wellbeing, the club moves beyond the traditional gym format to offer a more considered experience - one shaped by community, intention, and elevated design.

Founded in 2022, 7 Ocean Fitness & Wellness Club was created for individuals who view fitness as a lifestyle rather than a routine. Conceived as a refined wellness destination, the club delivers a lush, immersive environment designed to encourage consistency, discipline, and long-term commitment to health.

The vision for the club belongs to Founder Mr. Ajeet Singh, a lifelong fitness enthusiast who recognised a shift in modern lifestyles — where luxury and experiential spaces increasingly influence everyday choices, while fitness often remains deprioritised. Believing that ambience inspires action, he envisioned a space that seamlessly blends world-class fitness with luxury aesthetics: a place people enjoy visiting, feel inspired by, and naturally return to, transforming fitness from an obligation into an experience.

The club has been conceived as an exclusive sanctuary for a close-knit community of like-minded individuals who view wellness as a shared lifestyle rather than an individual pursuit. Every element of the space has been thoughtfully curated to support a balanced approach to fitness and wellbeing, allowing members to pursue their personal journeys in an environment crafted with precision and care. Gurgaon was selected for its evolving lifestyle culture and infrastructure that supports a seamless, all-under-one-roof experience, bringing together fitness, wellness, café, parking, and essential amenities within a single destination.

Spanning 20,000 sq. ft., the club is organised around two complementary pillars - fitness and wellness, each offering a unique yet interconnected experience. One section is energised by movement, intensity, and motivation, while the other is designed for calm, restoration, and mindful recovery. This deliberate zoning allows members to move effortlessly between training and recovery, creating a natural rhythm that supports both performance and balance.

The fitness experience is powered by Technogym, the globally recognised Italian brand known for its technologically advanced equipment and its ‘Wellness Lifestyle’ philosophy. The club features a connected ecosystem of smart machines, digital platforms, and apps, supporting immersive, guided workouts across strength training, cardio, functional training, and a dedicated spinning studio equipped with Technogym bikes. BioStrength machines guide movement safely and efficiently, supporting full-range motion aligned with correct biomechanics and making training effective across different fitness levels.

Personalisation is supported through the Technogym Body Composition Analyzer, an advanced AI-driven assessment tool that delivers a holistic body check in seconds. The system analyses strength, posture, mobility, metabolism, cognition, and wellness age, and integrates with the Technogym App to enable real-time adjustments to individual training programmes.

The club integrates physical fitness with mental wellbeing, mindfulness, and recovery through a wide range of offerings. Group classes, including Dance, CrossFit, Kickboxing, Sculpt, and more, encourage motivation and community engagement, while yoga flow sessions and breath-focused practices support mental clarity and stress reduction. Recovery facilities include infrared red light therapy saunas, rock salt hammam steam rooms, and chilled showers designed to reduce inflammation and support physical rejuvenation.

Each member begins with a comprehensive individual assessment conducted by certified trainers, focusing on fitness levels, goals, and specific body requirements. Based on these insights, personalised programmes are created that integrate training, nutrition, and recovery for balanced and sustainable results. All trainers hold globally recognised certifications in exercise science, nutrition, and physical therapy, with equal emphasis placed on personalised service, motivation, and member-centric care.

Café 7 serves as the club’s in-house wellness café and lounge, designed as a calm, inviting space where nutrition and lifestyle come together. The café extends the wellness journey beyond training and recovery, reinforcing the idea that fitness, nutrition, and mindset function best as part of everyday life rather than isolated routines.

7 Ocean Fitness & Wellness Club is exclusively accessible to members and will operate from 6:00 AM to 10:00 PM, Monday through Saturday, and from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM on Sundays.

Membership enquiries can be directed to +91 76007-00002.

Smoke House Café Opens at Sky City Mall, Borivali, A Familiar Favourite in a New Form

Mumbai, February 2026: Impresario Entertainment & Hospitality Pvt. Ltd. has announced the launch of Smoke House Café at Sky City Mall, Borivali, marking a new chapter for the 15-year legacy of Smoke House Deli. The new format builds on the brand’s strong foundation while introducing a more contemporary café expression shaped for today’s neighbourhood dining culture. Carrying forward the essence of Smoke House Deli, the café presents a more refined, cleaner, calmer space and shaped for the way people gather today.

Smoke House Café is globally inspired by flavours, cultures, and the journey of ingredients across borders, where a single ingredient can tell a different story in every kitchen. Guided by the philosophy of From The World, To You, the café looks beyond geography to what the world is eating, craving, and talking about, drawing from new ingredients, techniques, and fresh combinations. These global influences are translated thoughtfully into dishes that feel familiar, delicious, and deeply satisfying, creating an experience designed for everyday dining, unhurried conversations, and repeat visits from the neighbourhood it serves.

Riyaaz Amlani, Founder and Managing Director, Impresario Entertainment and Hospitality Pvt. Ltd., said, “With Smoke House Café, we are introducing a format that feels current, intentional and deeply rooted in hospitality. It is about giving our guests something new without losing the emotional connection they have always had with the brand. This is the future of Smoke House, more contemporary, more neighbourhood driven, and built for everyday belonging.”

A Space That Fits Right Into Borivali

Set within Sky City Mall, Smoke House Café is designed as a neighbourhood café you can return to for a long lunch that turns into evening, a quick mid-week bite, an easy family meal, or an unhurried catch up. Borivali is a locality that values community and familiarity, and the café has been shaped with that spirit at its core.

The interiors are contemporary in expression, drawing subtle inspiration from the lush greens and untamed beauty of Sanjay Gandhi National Park, one of Borivali’s most iconic landmarks. Earthy textures, organic forms and muted tones create a quiet interplay between nature and modern living. The space feels rooted without being rustic, refined without being distant. The result is a café that feels grounded, welcoming and deeply connected to its surroundings, an urban space with a strong and authentic sense of place.

Commenting on the launch, Ms. Tanu Prasad, CEO Malls, Oberoi Realty said, We are pleased to welcome Smoke House Café and are confident that its presence will not only drive strong footfall but also contribute meaningfully to the growing culture of experiential dining across the western suburbs. At Sky City Mall, our focus has always been on creating destinations that go beyond shopping to become vibrant social hubs for families and young professionals alike. As a brand that has consistently resonated with discerning urban consumers, its refreshed and contemporary format aligns seamlessly with our vision of offering thoughtfully curated experiences that blend quality with comfort.

Food and Drink at Smoke House Café

At Smoke House Café, the menu remains rooted in comfort, expressed through a lighter café forward rhythm and a stronger, focused commitment to meaningful vegetarian options. Drawing from cuisines across continents, the offering is thoughtful in execution and designed for the way people dine today, with shared plates, breakfast favourites, fresh pastas and pizzas, grills, and desserts that travel as well as one’s tastebuds do. The structure is clearer, making it easy to navigate across small plates, salads, breads, pizzas, pastas and mains, while still allowing guests to shape their experience depending on the occasion.

Guests can look forward to signature café plates such as the Signature Guacamole and Crispy Chilli Cheese that bring familiar comfort to the table. The Raw Papaya, Tender Coconut and Grilled Tofu Salad reflects the café’s fresh and thoughtful vegetarian direction, while the SHC Avocado Toast anchors the all day café mood. The Creamed Spinach, Feta, Tomato and Olive Pizza and the Ricotta and Greens Double Stuffed Ravioli highlight the brand’s European comfort legacy, and the Tofu and Baby Corn Curry with Jasmine Rice brings depth and warmth to the mains selection. Together, these dishes reflect a philosophy that balances familiarity with refinement, and comfort with clarity.

Alongside the food, the café also introduces a selection of zero proof sips that feel fresh and considered, designed for easy afternoons, light evenings and everyday moments. Guests can explore options such as the Cranberry Cold Brew, P.K Lemonade, Thai Spiced Chai, and the Lychee and Hibiscus Brew, each crafted to complement the café’s relaxed, all day rhythm.

Kids’ Menu and Why It Matters

Smoke House Café is designed to feel welcoming across generations and that includes families. The café features a kids’ menu that has been structured thoughtfully, not as an afterthought. It is built to make dining out feel easier for parents and genuinely enjoyable for younger guests, ensuring that everyone at the table finds their perfect dish and portion. In a neighbourhood like Borivali, where families form a strong part of the dining community, this becomes an important part of how the café shows up.

Vinod Shetty, Operations Head, Smoke House Café, said, “With Smoke House Café, we wanted to build something that feels natural to the neighbourhood. Borivali has a strong family culture, but it is also evolving and aspirational. The menu reflects that balance. We have strengthened our vegetarian offerings, clarified the structure, and introduced a dedicated kids’ section so that the experience feels complete. It is about creating a café that people can keep coming back to, across occasions and across life stages.”

Smoke House Café, Borivali is the next chapter for the brand. A place that still feels like a return. Familiar, easy and warm. A café you step into once and then keep coming back to because it simply fits.

Smoke House Café, Borivali is now open
