International Bharatanatyam Artist Apeksha Niranjan to Mark Her 50th Recital in Poland with a Special Indo-Polish Musical Collaboration

Internationally acclaimed Bharatanatyam artist Apeksha Niranjan is set to present a landmark performance in Poland on 8th June, marking her 50th recital in the country — a significant milestone in her artistic journey and her long-standing cultural association with Poland.

The special performance will feature a unique collaboration with Polish and Indian musicians, bringing together the rhythmic sophistication of Bharatanatyam with the musical traditions of both nations. Through this cross-cultural production, Apeksha continues her artistic vision of building bridges between India and Poland through dance, music, and storytelling.

Known for her deeply expressive performances and innovative choreographies, Apeksha Niranjan has consistently explored artistic dialogues between Indian classical traditions and Polish cultural narratives. Her previous productions have successfully incorporated Polish folk music, Gregorian chants, Marathi abhangas, and thematic explorations rooted in shared human emotions and histories.

Born into a unique Indo-Polish heritage, with a Polish grandmother and Maharashtrian roots, Apeksha’s artistic journey has been closely intertwined with Poland over the years. Her performances have become symbolic of the enduring cultural relationship between the two countries.

Speaking about the milestone, Apeksha Niranjan says, “Performing my 50th recital in Poland feels deeply emotional and personal to me. Poland has always embraced my art with immense warmth and love. A former Marathi actress and a noted Bharatanatyam exponent from Mumbai, Apeksha is recognised for her emotive storytelling, rhythmic precision, and innovative approach to classical dance. Her performances have been presented across India and internationally, earning appreciation for making Bharatanatyam accessible while retaining its traditional depth.

lassical Artist Apeksha Niranjan was honoured with the prestigious Rotary Vocational Excellence Award 2025–26 by the Rotary Club of New Bombay Seaside in recognition of her contribution to the field of classical dance and cultural arts.

Recently the award was presented at the Vocational Excellence Awards ceremony at Upper Deck Banquets, Haware Centurion Mall, Seawoods, Navi Mumbai. The initiative celebrates distinguished individuals from diverse fields who have demonstrated excellence, commitment, and meaningful impact through their work.

Known for her dedication to Bharatanatyam and her efforts towards preserving and promoting Indian classical art forms, Apeksha Niranjan was among the select awardees recognised during the evening.

Expressing her gratitude, Apeksha Niranjan said, I am truly grateful to the Rotary Club of New Bombay Seaside for this recognition. Classical dance has been an integral part of my journey, and receiving this honour is both humbling and encouraging. Awards like these motivate artists to continue contributing towards preserving and celebrating our cultural heritage.

She further added, It feels special to be recognised on a platform that celebrates not just professional achievement, but also impact and dedication towards society.
