The Food Safety and Standards Authority (FSSAI) of India  has introduced a new logo to identify vegan products in the country on Tuesday. Green in colour, it has a V inscribed in the middle with a small plant on top of it and Vegan written at the bottom.

The food regulator informed that the design resonates with the current logo, which is a green and brown dot in the middle of a square,  respectively, for vegetarian and non-vegetarian products. FSSAI.

The logo has been developed by Kruti Manish Rathore of Mount Caramel College, Bangalore, pursuing Masters in Food Science and Nutrition, under the guidance of Sangeeta Pandey.
