Prego at The Westin Hyderabad Mindspace Unveils a New Italian Menu

Prego, the signature Italian restaurant at The Westin Hyderabad Mindspace, will serve a new menu from 10 October 2026, bringing together handmade pasta, artisanal pizzas, slow-cooked classics, live grilling and tableside service.

The menu is built around what the restaurant calls The Prego Sixth Sense, an approach centred on memory, emotion, imagination, surprise and recognition, in which familiar Italian flavours are reworked through contemporary techniques, textures and presentation.

For Senior Sous Chef Shayaan Mitha, the approach is personal. His mother’s grilled cheese sandwiches, a school-tiffin favourite that became popular with his friends, inspired the Quattro Formaggi Fagottini: handmade pasta filled with four cheeses and served with 100% tomato jus and caramelised onions.

Other dishes include Risotto alla Milanese with Osso Bucco, Two Land Agnolotti, Burrata di Puglia and Eggplant Parmigiana 2.0, alongside centre-table dishes designed for sharing.

Two tableside rituals have been introduced. The First Pour presents warm focaccia and premium olive oil at the table, while The Pasta Moment sees select pastas finished in front of guests with butter, Parmigiano-Reggiano and fresh truffle.

The drinks list leans Italian. Tre Sole is a take on the Negroni with white rum, vermouth, Campari, grapefruit, lime and yuzu; Piezomelo Sour combines London Dry Gin and citrus; and Renaissance pairs watermelon, peach and basil with vodka and a Cabernet Sauvignon float. Classics such as the Gold Rush, Southside, Vodka Martini and Cuba Libre are served alongside wines.

The restaurant’s refreshed identity uses terracotta, crimson, yellow and blue, drawing on the hearth, Italian cooking, Mediterranean sunshine, and the sea and sky.

“Food created without integrity is just consumption. But when skilled hands work with honest ingredients and a conscious heart, every dish becomes a quiet act of respect for our planet,” said Mitha.
