At India's First Consumer-Facing Chocolate Factory Experience, Visitors Can Create, Compete, Taste and Even Bid for Chocolate Treasures
This World Chocolate Day, chocolate lovers are being invited to do much more than simply indulge in their favourite treat. Premium chocolate brand SMOOR is transforming its sprawling Experience Centre in Bengaluru into SMOORLAND – a three-day immersive chocolate festival happening on the 4th, 5th and 7th of July, that combines entertainment, craftsmanship, interactive experiences and family-friendly fun under one roof.
Hosted at the newly launched SMOOR Chocolate Factory Experience, a one-of-its-kind customer-facing chocolate factory spread across nearly 68,000 sq. ft., SMOORLAND offers visitors a rare opportunity to step behind the scenes of chocolate-making while participating in a carnival dedicated entirely to chocolate.
From hunting for hidden truffles inside a giant treasure ball pit and testing taste buds through blind chocolate challenges to creating personalized chocolate bars alongside SMOOR's master chocolatiers, the festival promises a hands-on experience unlike anything currently available in India.
What makes SMOORLAND particularly unique is its blend of factory tours, experiential retail and live entertainment. Visitors can explore the complete bean-to-bar journey through guided tours of the Experience Centre, participate in chef-led workshops, enjoy chocolate tastings, collect rewards through interactive challenges and unlock exclusive festival surprises throughout the day.
Among the biggest highlights is the debut of the SMOORLAND Auction House, a first-of-its-kind chocolate auction where guests can use coins earned through festival activities to bid for premium chocolates, desserts, gift hampers and exclusive experiences available only during the celebration.
The festival also features a packed line-up of attractions including the Truffle Treasure Ball Pit, Cocoa Wheel of Fortune, Tower of Temptation challenge, Frosted in the Dark cupcake decorating challenge, Blind Cocoa Challenge, tarot sessions, family games, customised keepsakes and meet-and-greets with beloved pop-culture characters.
Adding to the celebrations, SMOORLAND will extend beyond the Experience Centre with a special activation at Bengaluru Airport on World Chocolate Day, bringing a taste of the festival to travellers passing through one of India's busiest aviation hubs. The airport experience will feature some of SMOORLAND's most engaging attractions, including Hot Chocolate Pong, The Blind Cocoa Challenge, where participants guess different chocolate varieties, and Frosted in the Dark, a blind cupcake frosting activity.
As experiential retail and immersive food-led experiences continue to gain popularity among consumers, SMOORLAND represents a new approach to celebrating World Chocolate Day, one that combines entertainment, education, craftsmanship and indulgence into a single destination.
