Tell us about your journey. How did it all start?

I was selected for Silchar Medical College in july 1998 but opted for Hotel Management course, it was destiny. It started with Hyatt Regency in Food & Beverage Operations, then I moved to Sanjeev Kapoor Khana Khazana followed by Fortune Park Hotels before taking over the current role as Unit Head at Ramada Aligarh.

What do you think it takes to succeed in this industry?

Commitment for service excellence, eager to learn all the time, Honesty, Hard Work

What are some of the trends you see impacting the hospitality industry?

 Now technology has enabled the guest with number of choices to select where he wants to experience the services at value for money.

Personal touch to services, Good PR with guest patronising the Hotel and good online reputation management on social media platforms is the key to run the successful hospitality show in todays competition driven market.

General Managers with exposure to revenue management are more successful to beat the competition.

 

Tech is now an enabler for great hospitality. Can you share with us some of the tech that goes into creating your guest experience? 

A nice Tablet with customer care app not only helps to capture the guest feedback which helps to cover loop holes in services at our unit but also keeps the children busy playing games which in turn helps parents to be worry free while dining at restaurant.

 

Two things you would like to change in the industry.

 No Family Life

Human Resource should be given good care.

 

What can we expect from your hotel in the coming year?

Ramada By Wyndham Aligarh GT Road will be a leading venue for wedding destination in western UP or Braj Area of Agra/Aligarh/Mathura as we have been only branded hospitality set up in Aligarh Area.
