Tell us about your journey. How did it all start?

My journey in the hospitality industry began over 20 years ago, starting from prestigious establishments Umaid Bhawan Palace. Over the years, I've had the opportunity to work with renowned brands like ITC, Aman Resorts International, Taj Hotels, Wyndham Hotel Group, InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG®), and now, Radisson Hotel Group (RHG). Each experience has shaped me into the dedicated and results-driven professional that I am today.

What do you think it takes to succeed in this industry?

Success in the hospitality industry requires a combination of passion, adaptability, strong leadership, and a keen understanding of business dynamics. It's essential to prioritize guest satisfaction, anticipate industry trends, and continuously innovate to stay ahead.

What are the attributes you look for while selecting or hiring?

When selecting team members, I prioritize qualities such as passion for hospitality, a customer-centric mindset, adaptability, strong work ethic, and collaborative spirit. I believe in fostering a diverse and inclusive work environment where every individual's talent and contribution are valued.

What is your favorite interview question & why?

One of my favorite interview questions is, "Can you share a situation where you had to resolve a challenging guest issue, and how did you handle it?" This question allows me to assess a candidate's problem-solving skills, empathy, and ability to remain composed under pressure, which are crucial in the hospitality industry.

Share some of your secrets in keeping an engaged, safe, and happy team.

To keep my team engaged, safe, and happy, I prioritize open communication, continuous training and development opportunities, recognizing and celebrating achievements, fostering a supportive work culture, and prioritizing employee well-being and safety.

What does not exist in the world, but you would like it to?

I envision a world where hospitality transcends boundaries and brings people together in meaningful ways, fostering understanding, empathy, and cultural exchange on a global scale.
