Vienna House by Wyndham Makes Frankfurt Debut with 104-Room Hotel in Sachsenhausen
/Vienna House by Wyndham has made its Frankfurt debut with the opening of Vienna House by Wyndham Frankfurt South in the city’s Sachsenhausen district. Announced on 6 October 2026, the full-service lifestyle hotel brings the brand’s European blend of local character, relaxed hospitality and its spirit of endless exploration to one of Germany’s most vibrant business and cultural hubs.
Set on the south bank of the Main River, the hotel has 104 rooms, including suites and loft-style accommodation, within easy reach of Frankfurt’s financial centre, cultural landmarks and international airport. The building was first transformed from an office block in 2019 and now enters a new chapter under the Vienna House by Wyndham flag, adding to the brand’s growing presence across the DACH region.
Storytelling runs through the property: historic photographs, original plans and archive material tracing the building’s transformation are displayed throughout, alongside a curated collection of travel photography by team members. In the meeting area, the Alexander boardroom is named after Alexander Tesler, the building’s architect, developer and owner, and features his original two-tonne marble conference table, which travelled with him from the Philippines to Germany.
“Frankfurt is a city that brings people, ideas and opportunities together, making it one of Europe’s most dynamic destinations for both business and leisure travel,” said Dimitris Manikis, President EMEA, Wyndham Hotels & Resorts. “The opening of Vienna House by Wyndham Frankfurt South reflects our commitment to growing Vienna House in sought-after markets while celebrating the individuality of each hotel.”
The hotel’s full-service restaurant, The Blasky, serves regional à la carte cuisine alongside a sharing concept and a daily breakfast buffet, while the rooftop bar overlooks the Frankfurt skyline and offers a relaxed setting for cocktails and social gatherings for guests and locals alike. Other amenities include a lobby mini market, on-site parking for cars and bicycles, and new fitness and sauna facilities introduced as part of the brand conversion. Seven flexible meeting rooms can host up to 200 guests, among them the Palmengarten, named after Frankfurt’s famous botanical garden, where plants and palm trees flow onto an adjoining terrace.
“From the traces of its transformation over the years to our new meeting and event spaces and a rooftop well known across the region for its skyline views and restaurant, every element is designed to encourage guests to connect and experience Frankfurt from a different perspective,” said Tim Lichtenberg, Managing Director, Vienna House by Wyndham Frankfurt South.
A significant enhancement programme is under way. Around 700 square metres of previously unused space is being reimagined to expand the lobby and meeting areas, the outdoor garden will be upgraded, and 35 rooms are due to be added by the end of 2027, taking the inventory to 139 rooms and suites.
The opening follows the brand’s arrival in Vietnam earlier this year with Vienna House by Wyndham Charm Long Hai, a five-star beachfront resort. Closer to home, Vienna House has announced its planned entry into India with the signing of Vienna House Easy Vrindavan, a 100-room hotel expected to open in 2029, along with a planned entry into Türkiye later this year. In the Frankfurt Rhine-Main region, the new hotel joins Wyndham Frankfurt Niederrad, Aspire Frankfurt Airport, Trademark Collection by Wyndham and Dolce by Wyndham Bad Nauheim, and guests can earn and redeem points through Wyndham Rewards.
