Jegan Babu brings over a decade of hospitality experience across India, the UAE and the United States.

Moxy Bengaluru Airport Prestige Tech Cloud has appointed Jegan Babu as Food & Beverage Manager. He brings over a decade of experience across international hospitality brands in India, the UAE and the United States. In his new role, Jegan will oversee the property’s food and beverage operations, including team development, menu planning, quality standards, food safety protocols and operational efficiency.

International hospitality experience

Jegan joins Moxy Bengaluru from Westin Mina Seyahi, Dubai, where he served as Complex Restaurant Manager. He managed the daily operations of Pool, Beach & Waterpark operations and led a team of 43 members. His responsibilities included commercial planning, competitor analysis, guest satisfaction, menu planning, budgeting and forecasting, talent development and operational compliance.Before this, he held multiple roles with Hilton Dubai Jumeirah, progressing from Senior Head Waiter to Assistant Restaurant Manager and subsequently Cluster Restaurant Manager. His earlier experience includes JA Resorts & Hotels, Le Meridien Al Aqah Beach Resort, Fujairah, and Oceana Cruises, Miami.

Recognition in beverage management

Jegan was the Grand Winner of the Sommelier Challenge at the Hilton F&B Masters 2018 for Asia Pacific & Turkey and was also the 1st Runner-Up at the Middle East & Africa level. He was subsequently shortlisted for the Caterer Award – Sommelier of the Year.

Education and areas of expertise

Jegan holds a qualification in Hotel Management and Tourism from Annamalai University and a Diploma in Hotel Management from Loyola College. His experience includes financial planning, team leadership, training, guest engagement, restaurant operations, beverage management and business strategy.

Bringing over a decade of experience in hospitality with strong expertise in food & beverage operations, he joins from Taj City Centre, Gurugram where he led banquet operations, managing high-profile events and conferences.

A graduate in Hotel Management & Tourism with strong pre-opening experience and a hands-on approach, he brings a guest-centric mindset to his role at ibis Styles Mysuru, where he will lead and oversee all food & beverage operations, focusing on elevating dining experiences, strengthening service excellence, and driving overall performance.
