Chehrazade Berry named as director of sales and marketing at Park Hyatt Doha

Chehrazade Berry has been appointed director of sales and marketing at Park Hyatt Doha, where she aims to enhance revenue growth and brand positioning in Qatar's luxury hospitality sector

Park Hyatt Doha has appointed Chehrazade Berry as its new director of sales and marketing.

She brings almost a decade of luxury hospitality commercial leadership to the role, having most recently served as commercial director at Hilton Doha. She has also held positions as sales director at Hilton Doha and director of business development at Shangri-La Doha.

Berry returns to the property, having been the associate director of sales during the Park Hyatt Doha’s pre- and post-opening phases from 2019 to 2021.

Berry will oversee Park Hyatt Doha’s sales, marketing and commercial strategy and is commended by the team for her track record of “driving revenue growth, building high-performing teams, and strengthening brand positioning across Qatar’s competitive hospitality landscape”.

Anantara Downtown Dubai Hotel, part of Minor Hotels, has appointed Manish Jha as general manager, signalling a strategic focus on enhancing guest experiences at the luxury urban property.

With over 20 years in the hospitality sector, Jha brings a wealth of experience, having worked with esteemed brands for much of his career, primarily within Minor Hotels.

Jha’s tenure with Anantara began in 2006 as director of food and beverage for several Maldives properties. He has since held key leadership roles across notable hotels, including Anantara Bophut Koh Samui Resort and the NH Collection Dubai The Palm, where he successfully launched the brand’s first Middle Eastern property.

In this new role, Jha will manage all operations at Anantara Downtown Dubai, enhancing its stature as a premier luxury lifestyle destination in the city.

Located in Dubai’s prominent business district, Anantara Downtown Dubai Hotel comprises 252 newly renovated luxury rooms and suites, with updated interiors that embody a tropical serenity.

The Anantara Royal Suite with Pool, spanning 2,529 sq. ft., features expansive living areas and private outdoor plunge pools, distinguishing it as one of the few hotel suites in Business Bay to offer such amenities.

The hotel’s culinary offerings include signature venues such as ZIYA and Mood Bar, alongside acclaimed restaurants that aim to position the hotel as a vibrant dining hub for both residents and international visitors. Tamer Faiad joins Kerten Hospitality as cluster director of finance

Tamer Faiad joins Kerten Hospitality as cluster director of finance, bringing 15 years of progressive experience in hospitality finance, financial leadership and hotel operations across Saudi Arabia and the Middle East.

Throughout his career, Faiad has held senior finance leadership roles with internationally recognised hospitality brands and major giga-projects in KSA.

Faiad’s expertise spans hotel operations, pre-openings, financial planning and analysis, governance, internal controls, compliance, business partnering, and finance transformation. Most recently, he served as cluster finance operations manager at Hilton NEOM Community.

During his time with Hilton, Faiad successfully led multiple hotel pre-openings, international task force assignments and finance transformation initiatives. His contributions were recognised with the Finance Leader of the Year award, reflecting his commitment to operational excellence, leadership and delivering commercial value through finance.

Prior to Hilton, Faiad held corporate finance leadership roles with Tabuk Investment & Tourism Co., supporting hospitality and facilities management projects for the Royal Commission for AlUla and NEOM.

In his new role as cluster director of finance at Kerten Hospitality, Faiad will oversee the financial strategy and performance of Cloud7 Residence AlUla and Dar Tantora The House Hotel.
