Three Bengaluru restaurants have Diwali menus this season: Druma in Jayanagar, and Goonj and Bountyful in Indiranagar. All three lean heavily vegetarian.

Druma, Jayanagar

The pure-vegetarian fine-dining restaurant at the Cosmopolitan Club has an extensive festive spread. The Indian section runs from Dal Makhani, Kadhai Paneer and Dahi Bhindi to Alleppey Mango Curry, Paneer Chettinad and Gongura Paneer Koora. From the tandoor and South Indian kitchen come Tandoori Soya Chaap, Bharwan Mushroom, Malai Broccoli, Achari Paneer, Ghee Roast Mushroom and Andhra-Style Chilli Paneer. Beyond Indian food there are soups, salads and chaats, including Manchow Soup, Watermelon Feta Salad, Dhokla Chaat and Samosa Mille-Feuille Chaat. The chef's special is Parota Quesadillas, and there is an assortment of sliders. Desserts include Rose Milk Tres Leches, Berry Cheesecake, Tiramisu and Lotus Biscoff Ice Cream Cake.

Goonj – Indian Food House, Indiranagar

The highlights at Goonj are Murgh Gilafee Kebab, Dal Bukhara, Murgh Mussallam and Angoori Rasmalai. To drink, there are signature cocktails including Gulal and Jugalbandhi.

Bountyful, Indiranagar

Bountyful focuses on India's lesser-known regional vegetarian cuisines, and its menu balances sour, sweet and spice. Starters are Lucknowi Dahi Kabab, Tawa Mushroom Galouti and Tandoori Soya Seekh Kebab, followed by Tomato Tulsi Rasa. Mains include Nawaratn Korma, Awadhi Paneer Kali Mirch, Ma Ke Haath Ka Chole Bhature, and Kala Chana Dum Tehri with Imli Chilli Jam and Achari Raita. Lal Mirch Laccha Paratha comes with Double Tadka Dal. Sweets are Khoya Jalebi and Kaju Katli Chocolate Barfi, and Pineapple Jaljeera, Paan Sharbat and Kokum Konkan act as palate cleansers.
