No Shop Talk Opens in Bengaluru, A Space Built for Your After-Hours Self

Bengaluru, May 2026: In the middle of Bellandur’s fast-paced corporate chaos, a new bar is asking Bengaluru to do one simple thing: switch off. Newly launched No Shop Talk is the city’s latest cocktail-forward destination designed for life after office hours - where conversations flow easier, drinks come with personality, and nobody wants to discuss deadlines over dinner. Located above Gnome at Embassy Tech Square, the intimate new space blends inventive cocktails, elevated comfort food, immersive design, and a mood that feels worlds away from the usual after-work scene.

Founded by hospitality entrepreneurs Nikhil Wahi, Kapil Dua, and Raja Mukherjee, No Shop Talk is built around the idea of the “after-hours self” - the version of people that exists beyond meetings, laptops, and work chats. The bar programme, created by Countertop and led by mixologists Kiran Kuberan and Vardhan, revolves around a concept called Life & Afterlife, where ingredients are explored in both their original and transformed forms. Signature cocktails like Grape & Pomace, Coffee & Cascara, Coconut Water & Coconut Oil, and Cheese & Ricotta deliver layered, unexpected flavours that are playful, bold, and crafted with serious precision.

The food menu matches that same energy with globally inspired comfort plates designed for sharing. Standouts include the indulgent Truffle Burrata Tart, flavour-packed Goan Cutlet Sliders, the rich Kimchi Smash Burger, and the crowd-favourite Aslam Style Butter Chicken. Wrapped in textured glass, blue accents, tactile surfaces, and moody lighting, the space feels intimate, slightly eccentric, and refreshingly different from the city’s louder nightlife spots.

Speaking about the launch, co-founder Nikhil Wahi shares, “We wanted to create a space where people could leave work at the door and reconnect with a different side of themselves. No Shop Talk isn’t just about cocktails or food - it’s about slowing down, staying present, and enjoying the moment without the noise of everyday work life.”

With its immersive atmosphere, concept-driven cocktails, and quietly rebellious personality, No Shop Talk arrives as Bengaluru’s newest excuse to log out a little earlier.

Israeli Chef Ruthie Rousso Brings the Flavours of Israel to Bengaluru

Bengaluru, February 2026: Renowned Israeli chef, author and culinary ambassador Ruthie Rousso brought the flavours of Israel to Bengaluru during a curated week of culinary experiences initiated by the Israeli Consulate in Bengaluru, in collaboration with the Israel Ministry of Tourism (IMOT), Aura Greens (Hosur) and Vandey, an Israeli company operating in Bengaluru.

The program combined gastronomy, agricultural innovation and cross-cultural dialogue- highlighting the freshness, diversity and creativity that define contemporary Israeli cuisine.

A judge on MasterChef Israel and one of the leading voices in Israel’s modern food scene, Chef Rousso connects food with identity, land and community. In Bengaluru, that philosophy translated into two distinct experiences- one elegant and urban, the other rooted in the soil.

Mediterranean Soul Meets Bengaluru Terroir

At the heart of the visit was an exclusive showcase dinner at Conrad Bengaluru, held in partnership with the Israeli Consulate in Bengaluru and attended by senior representatives from the Israeli and Indian ecosystems, including Consul General Orli Weitzman, alongside business leaders and policy stakeholders.

Titled “Mediterranean Soul Meets Bengaluru Terroir,” the menu created a dialogue between Israeli culinary tradition and locally sourced Indian ingredients. The evening opened with a smoked cherry tomato and peach gazpacho, followed by an inventive pani puri fish tartare. Freshly baked challah and za’atar pitas anchored a vibrant mezze spread, while a live musabaha station- warm, hand-crushed chickpeas with tahini, garlic and lemon- became a highlight of the shared table.

Main courses balanced innovation and tradition, including a plant-based Redefine Meat “steak” and slow-roasted lamb over freekeh maqluba, before desserts that combined Mediterranean warmth with Indian fragrance.

From Greenhouse to Table: The Farm Experience

At Aura Greens in Hosur, Chef Rousso led a farm-based culinary experience built entirely around produce grown on-site using advanced Israeli greenhouse and irrigation technologies.

A curated “Tomato Gallery” celebrated multiple varieties harvested from the farm, alongside crisp garden salads, harissa-glazed local carrots and warm hand-crushed hummus. The meal concluded with seasonal tropical fruits- underscoring a shared appreciation in both cultures for food grown in the soil and served with minimal intervention.

The visit also demonstrated how Israeli agricultural technology is being successfully implemented on Indian soil, producing premium, sustainable vegetables with a vision to scale similar farm models nationwide.

Chef Ruthie Rousso said, “During my visit to India, I felt I was eating real food- ingredients grown in the land and treated with respect. In Israel, we share that same instinct. I often say that food is a mirror- it reflects the people around it. When you eat real food, you are usually surrounded by real people, and that is why I immediately felt at home here.

If a picture is worth a thousand words, a dish is worth a thousand pictures. Through the plate, I understood more deeply the special friendship between Israel and India- because it works on the plate just as it works in the heart.”

Galit Hoffman, Consul- Tourism Affairs, India, Israel Ministry of Tourism (IMOT), said, “Israel today is one of the most dynamic culinary arenas in the world- rich in flavours, shaped by global influences and driven by constant creativity. Tel Aviv is widely regarded as a global capital of vegan cuisine, making Israel especially relevant for Indian audiences who value plant-based food traditions. Combined with cutting-edge agricultural innovation that continually transforms what we grow and how we cook, Israel’s food scene is both surprising and inspiring. And of course, cuisine is just one of the many vibrant experiences Israel offers to Indian travellers.”

Sky Golf Launches in Bengaluru: City Gets Its First Integrated Play-Eat-Unwind Entertainment Space

February 2026, Bengaluru: Bengaluru has no shortage of bars and clubs, but what it truly missed was a space that brought leisure with participation. The launch of Sky Golf, the city’s first lifestyle and entertainment destination changes that for good. Centered around golf, it integrates play, dining and social community into one design-led environment in Varthur. Guests can step in for a round at the golf bay, order from a curation of food and beverages, settle into an ambience meant for recreation, fun and premium lifestyle experiences.

Sky Golf finds its inspiration from Dubai’s Top Golf and how vibrantly golf is celebrated there. Vinod ELV, the Director at ELV Projects was fascinated by the idea of sport, leisure and community coming together. This exposure sparked the vision to reimagine the same in the urban pockets of India. Sky Golf reflects his passion for elevating recreational experiences and introducing world-class concepts into consumer lifestyles.

Here, golf bays hum alongside a full-service kitchen and bar, so if you’re focused on the game, you don’t have to pull away to the table, back and forth. Walk in or book ahead, pick a club, get a quick assist if you need and settle in. A vast multi-cuisine menu to choose from and special Sky signature cocktails to shots, the place promises an energy shift- easygoing through the day, vibrant and buzzy by the evening.

The menu is designed to match the mood. Familiar indulgences like binge-style finger foods, chaat classics, Asian starters, pizzas and pastas, charred Tandoori grills and layered biryanis are all served with style. Refined plating and deliberate presentation isn’t limited to the food. It all feels premium, offers comfort and socialised entertainment.

Talking about choosing Bengaluru, Vinod ELV says, “We wanted to give Bengaluru an experience beyond clubs and bars, something interactive, social, and global in spirit. The city folks already know how to go out and enjoy, we wanted to give them a reason to stay and play. Sky Golf steps into that format while offering a global lifestyle perspective.”

With Sky Golf, Bengaluru’s social scene is taking a much-needed pivot to experience-led leisure. It will reimagine golf in a more accessible, contemporary and urban format. Whether you want a casual daytime hangout with colleagues or want a competitive game, teeing off with your friends, you know where to arrive.

Radisson Blu, Bengaluru, Outer Ring Road First in India  to be Awarded LEED V 4.1 Platinum Certification (Operations & Maintenance)by US Green Building Council

Radisson Blu, Bengaluru, Outer Ring Road, is the first hotel in India to be awarded the prestigious LEED V 4.1 Platinum Certificate (for Operations & Maintenance of an Existing Building).

Issued by the US Green Building Council, this top-level certification reflects Radisson Blu, Bengaluru, Outer Ring Road’s outstanding commitment to sustainability.

The hotel has taken many, impactful steps, including investments in renewable energy and innovation, to consistently reduce its carbon footprint. The hotel building is 100% powered by green energy, which is generated from its own solar plant. This makes it de facto a net zero energy building. Most of the hotel’s cars used for guest commutes are EVs and in addition, these cars charge on-site with electricity that is generated from the hotel’s solar plant

The hotel has an in-house bio-gas plant, which converts waste into biogas which is sufficient to fully supply the staff canteen for cooking purposes.  The useful by-product of the process is high-quality organic sludge, which is further used to fertilize the gardens. This has allowed the hotel to completely move away from non-organic fertilizers. This system has allowed the hotel to achieve 100% circularity as far as organic waste management is concerned, making it an industry first in the hospitality sector in India.

To avoid using single-use plastic bottled water, the hotel has installed an in-house water bottling plant and refills glass bottles used in all guest rooms, restaurants, and banquet facilities. This system alone has allowed to avoid more than a tonne of plastic waste every year.

The hotel excels in minimizing water use. It has a robust rainwater capture, reuse, and recharge system in place. Over 40% of the roof area is used for storing in the rainwater sump and re-using the captured rainwater for domestic purposes through a filtration plant. The water used for the large on-site laundry is 100% circular. An ETP (Effluent Treatment Plant) of 40 Kilo Litre Per Day has been installed to recycle all of the hotel’s laundry water. The same water goes to an STP (Sewage Treatment Plant) for further processing and to bring it back to the required quality for reuse, the water is then run through UF (Ultra Filtrations) and RO (Reverse Osmosis).

Mr. Austin Roach (Chairman, Radisson Blu Bengaluru Outer Ring Road – A venture by Roach Lifescapes) says, “At Radisson Blu, Bengaluru, Outer Ring Road, sustainability is not about following a trend, but is a sincere way of life. For over a decade, we are deeply committed to the environment and we are acutely aware of the impact that the hospitality industry alone can have on our planet. We are honoured to have been awarded LEED Platinum certification, which is a recognition of our efforts and impetus for us to do even more, to continue creating a positive environmental impact.”

ITC’S THREE LEED ZERO CARBON-CERTIFIED HOTELS CREATE GLOBAL MILESTONE

~Experience ITC Hotels' timeless spirit of innovation #LoveNatureLivezero~

Delhi, Jun 2022- Reaffirming its credo of ‘Responsible Luxury’ with a comprehensive focus on sustainability, health, and hygiene, ITC Hotels is proud to announce that 3 of its properties in India have been ranked as the world’s top 3 LEED® (Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design) Zero Carbon certified hotels, a first-of-its-kind achievement globally.

ITC Windsor, Bengaluru, became the 1st hotel in the world while ITC Grand Chola is one of the largest hotels in the world to have received the prestigious LEED Zero Carbon Certification. ITC Gardenia has become the third hotel in the world to receive the certification.

LEED Zero Carbon recognizes buildings operating with net-zero carbon emission and LEED® Platinum is the highest rating awarded by U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC). ITC Hotels is the world's largest chain with the maximum number of LEED Platinum Certified Properties as per USGBC.

From using renewable energy and recycling solid waste to conserving water, actively mitigating single-use plastic and reducing the carbon footprint at every step, ITC Hotels have been delivering luxury experiences with planet positive offerings embedded in product, processes, people & progress. Over 40% of consumable food materials used at ITC Hotels is sourced locally and the properties have adopted infra-red based efficient cooking in the kitchen leading to near 20% energy savings.

Living up to its promise of ‘Responsible Luxury’, ITC Hotels launched a path-breaking “WeAssure program, adopting the highest standards and protocols in health, hygiene, safety and infection control management. For this initiative, ITC Hotels became the first hotel chain in the world to receive Platinum level certification under DNV's My Care Infection risk management program. In addition, the hotel group introduced waste segregation methods to achieve more than 99% waste recycling and also pioneered the mitigation of single-use plastic.

Anil Chadha, Divisional Chief Executive, ITC Hotels, stated, “ITC Hotels is committed towards sustainability and consistently works to achieve its vision of offering patrons an experience of 'responsible luxury. We pride ourselves on the milestones that we have achieved in our endeavor toward contributing to the Planet. Three of our luxury properties have put India on the global stage by being recognized by LEED as Net Zero Carbon Certified hotels. This achievement is not ours alone but of all our associates and guests who believed in us and shared the same value system. I would like to acknowledge the efforts of ITC Hotels in ensuring that we preserve the elements of sustainability. We shall continue in this direction with our promise to Mother Earth.”

All ITC Hotels have organic waste converters with most of them being equipped with Onsite Bio- Methanation plants. The group has reduced freshwater consumption by almost 50% with strategic conservation, treatment, and reuse over the last 5 years. 57% of electrical consumption at ITC Hotels & Welcomhotels is met through renewable sources. These include ITC Grand Chola, ITC Windsor, ITC Gardenia, ITC Maratha, ITC Grand Central, ITC Mughal, Welcomhotel Chennai, Welcomhotel Coimbatore, Welcomhotel Bengaluru, and Welcomhotel Sheraton New Delhi, which are powered by renewable electrical energy. ITC Hotels’ current carbon emission level is 61 kg per overnight guest stay and 58 kg per sqm per annum against the 2030 target of 65 kg and 129 kg respectively. These milestones have been accomplished through the implementation of various renewable energy and energy efficiency initiatives.

Some of the pioneering eco-friendly initiatives of ITC Hotels are highlighted below:

  • The design of every ITC Hotel is based on Green Building guidelines and standards which are energy efficient, utilize renewable energy, conserve and recycle water while taking concrete steps to preserve the eco-system around them.

  • The hotels have witnessed up to 20% increased efficiency with the installation of a programmable HVAC (Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning) control called the Automated BMS System

  • Key sustainability initiatives are executed in identified hotels. They include in-house production of water with the help of atmospheric water generators, rainwater harvesting, daylight harvesting, solar heating, food waste composting, biogas generation, and the switchover from HSD/biodiesel fired boilers to renewable electrical energy based boilers for steam application.

All ITC Hotels and Welcomhotels are ISO 14001 Environment Management System and ISO 22000 Food Safety Management Certified. ITC Kohenur has received the 5-star Green Rating for Integrated Habitat Assessment (GRIHA) for incorporating various sustainable practices in building design & operation. ITC Sonar is the only hotel in the world to earn carbon credits under the UNFCCC (United Nation Framework Convention on Climate Change) Kyoto Protocol’s Clean Development Mechanism.

All ITC Hotels & Welcomhotels have implemented COVID Mitigation in Conditioned Space in its HVAC system. The advanced oxidation patented technology neutralizes indoor air pollutants, bacteria and viruses. This technology cell creates photo hydro ions and destroys more than 99% of microbes present in the conditioned space. It is an active technology, where the ions neutralize every airborne organic contaminant it locates.

ITC Hotels is also committed to supporting local artisans while reviving and popularising ancient cuisines and is actively engaged in keeping alive India's time-honored rituals that promote well-being. Walmart, WelcomJawan, WelcomTheatre, Responsible Dining through Local Love, Eat Wisely and Food Sherpa are some of its signature programs that have defined Responsible Luxury.
