Ishan Thakur, Food and Beverage Manager, has 15 years of experience in the hospitality industry and brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to his new role. He has worked with reputable Indian hotel chains including The Oberoi Rajvilas and the ITC Fortune Select Metropolitan in Jaipur. Before joining Hyatt Regency Dharamshala Resort, he held the position of Operations Manager – Food and Beverage at The Leela Palace New Delhi. Ishan will be in responsible for overseeing and enhancing the resort’s food and beverage operations. He will play an essential role in delivering outstanding curated culinary experiences and exceeding the expectations of our valued guests.

Ankush Kumar, Financial Controller, has managed the financial efficiencies inside the hospitality business for more than a decade. Prior to this, he worked for prestigious luxury hospitality companies including ITC Hotels, Taj Hotels, and Oberoi Hotels and Resorts. He is the perfect complement to the dynamic team at the Hyatt Regency Dharamshala Resort because of his significant experience and knowledge.

Nitish Dubey has been appointed as the new food and beverage manager at Fairfield by Marriott Mumbai International Airport. Nitish has more than 13 years of expertise working at a variety of luxury, lifestyle, and business hotels. Nitish has worked with prestigious brands throughout his career, including Sofitel BKC, JW Marriott, Westin, Renaissance, and Radisson Blu Groups.

He is known for his commitment to customer service, ensuring high-quality service, building productive relationships, resolving complex issues, and fostering customer loyalty.

Nitish will play a key role in processes including restaurant operations, guest experience management, administration, restaurant revenue forecasting, F&B planning, concept promotions, cost control, and beverage initiatives in his present position at Fairfield by Marriott.

With an impressive career spanning over 15 years in the hospitality industry, Atul Arora brings a wealth of experience and expertise to his new role. In 2017, he joined Radisson Blu Plaza Delhi Airport as a Senior Sales Manager and quickly progressed to the role of Associate Director of Sales. Now, as the Director of Sales – Catering Sales, Atul will play a pivotal role in driving the growth and profitability of the catering sales division.

His educational background has equipped him with a solid foundation in the principles of hospitality and management.

Deepraj Vijay Vanju has been appointed as the Food & Beverage Manager. He has a diverse range of experience spanning over 16 years in the hospitality industry. Deepraj will be in charge of leading and overseeing the food and beverage operations, including restaurants, lounges, events, and catering while upholding strict standards for customer satisfaction. In order to increase brand recognition for the hotel’s food and beverage division and boost revenue, Deepraj will be undertaking fruitful collaborations.

Deepraj completed his Master of Business Administration in Hospitality Management from the International School of Business Management, Lucerne, Switzerland. Bharath Kumar Bohini has been hired as the Human Resources Manager, bringing with him more than 15 years of experience. He believes in the synergy of his team’s operations to improve employee performance and achieve organisational effectiveness, and has a track record of managing operations successfully in situations that are incredibly competitive.

Bharath takes on the role by overseeing all aspects of human resources management and working closely with the management team to develop and implement strategies in HR that align with the hotel’s overall business objectives.

Another notable appointment is that of Bharati Kumari as the Housekeeping Manager. In her new role, she will oversee the overall upkeep and maintenance of the hotel to ensure the highest level of service. Bharti Kumari brings 8+ years of rich experience with her in hospitality from reputed brands like JW Marriott Mussorie, The St. Regis Mumbai, and The Four Seasons Mumbai.

Bharti has great command over housekeeping operations with her creative working style. She completed her hotel management degree from the International Institute of Hotel Management in Kolkata in 2015. In her last assignment with JW Marriott Mussorie, she was awarded the Pillar of the Department honour for her impeccable work ethics.

She loves cooking very much, and to channel her inner creativity, she also likes to read short stories and update herself with hospitality trends and hair styling.

Umapathy has been a part of The Leela family for seven years now. Prior to joining The Leela Gandhinagar, he was associated with The Leela Ashtamudi, The Leela Palace Jaipur and The Leela Palace Chennai and was also associated with other hospitality chains such as Hyatt and ITC.

Mallika Das appointed as the Director of Finance. A Chartered Accountant by qualification, Mallika is a strategic planner with a proven ability to improve operations and maximize profits through solid financial management, cost reductions and productivity improvements. She was previously the financial controller at IHCL. In a career of over 15 years, she has a stellar experience with Accor, IHG and Hyatt.


Harshvardhan Dengwekar appointed as the PR & Marketing Manager. Harshvardhan has more than 13 years of experience in sales and marketing at premier properties in India and overseas. He is responsible for structuring all marketing and PR-related communications for The Leela Gandhinagar and Mahatma Mandir Convention and Exhibition Center. He has been a part of Accor, Hyatt, and Marriott where he fulfilled diverse roles.

Subin Venugopal appointed as the food & beverage manager. A highly result-oriented professional, Subin has worked in highly competitive environments in multiple cities in India and overseas in a career spanning more than 15 years. He was last associated with Le Meridien in Hyderabad and has also been a part of other hospitality chains like Marriott and Intercontinental in the past.
