EHL Achieves B Corp Certification, Accelerating its Commitments to Sustainable and Human-Centric Hospitality

Lausanne, Switzerland, April 2026: EHL Hospitality Business School is proud to announce that it has officially achieved B Corp Certification. Beyond the certification itself, EHL’s ambition is to further strengthen its commitment to sustainability, join a global movement driving positive change, and inspire a shift in mindset among its students, future leaders and, within the industry at large. This certification represents a significant milestone, yet EHL sees it not as an end point, but as the starting point of a long-term, continuous improvement journey aligned with B Lab’s evolving social and environmental standards and EHL’s stakeholders expectations.

With a verified B Impact Score of 98.5, EHL exceeds the minimum requirement of 80 points under B Lab’s current standards, which rate organizations on a scale of up to 200. EHL now joins a global movement of more than 10,300 B Corp-certified companies worldwide, representing over one million employees, and becomes one of 143 B Corps in Switzerland. Although B Corp certification is expanding across many sectors, only about ten comparable higher education institutions worldwide — and just one in Switzerland — have completed this rigorous process, making EHL one of the early adopters in the academic field.

B Corp Certification evaluates an organization holistically, examining governance, social and environmental practices, and transparency across all entities through 200 elements. In this process, EHL met B Lab’s legal requirement to embed stakeholder governance into its governing documents , ensuring that decisions consider students, employees, communities, suppliers, and the environment, not just shareholders. The assessment also includes the review of potential negative impacts through disclosure, background checks and case reviews, which EHL completed transparently.

“As THE global reference in hospitality management education, EHL has always placed people at the center of its mission,” said Markus Venzin, CEO of EHL. “Preparing the next generation of leaders means equipping them to face tomorrow’s environmental and social challenges with responsibility while creating lasting value. We CAN ONLY credibly teach what we implement ourselves. We must walk the talk.”

EHL sees its role as extending beyond its own campus . As a leading institution in a sector built on human interaction and service culture, EHL aims to inspire the broader hospitality and service industries to deepen their commitment to sustainability. The school intends to actively contribute to the B Corp community by sharing not only its best practices but also its challenges, recognizing that progress requires transparency, humility, and collective learning.

Like all certified companies, EHL will be required to undergo the recertification every three years under B Lab’s future updated and more stringent standards, which will do away with the current point-scoring framework, to maintain its B Corp status. This process will demand ongoing adaptation, measurable progress, and a commitment to continuous improvement across environmental, social, and governance dimensions. « A certification only matters if it changes how we think, act and improve,” Markus Venzin highlights.

The Studs Sports Bar & Grill Expands to Sahakarnagar

The Studs – a social bar built for daily dining, curated drinks and the shared energy of sports.

Bangalore, 2026 – Following the continued success of its high-energy outlet at Embassy Tech Village and JP Nagar, The Studs Sports Bar & Grill expands further in Bangalore with the launch of its next flagship in Sahakarnagar — an evolved, neighbourhood-first format tailored for North Bangalore’s growing residential and corporate community. The doors officially open to the public from 7th March onwards.

The Sahakarnagar outlet marks a strategic upgrade in the brands' city journey, building on the loyalty developed at its earlier JP Nagar presence, while introducing a refined, everyday social bar experience designed for habit-driven dining and weekday culture.

Spread across 5,000 sq. ft. with a 130-seater layout, the outlet is positioned as an ideal neighbourhood daily bar — a place to stress bust after work, host casual corporate evenings, gather with family, or unwind over great food and drinks without crossing the city.

With 10 beers on tap, including multiple Craft beers, the space offers one of the stronger tap programs in North Bangalore, complemented by curated cocktails and a menu engineered for repeat visits.

“The momentum we have seen at Embassy Tech Village reaffirmed that people are looking for immersive yet comfortable social spaces,” said Miten Shah, Co-Founder. “With Sahakarnagar, we have taken that learning and evolved it further. This is not positioned as just a match destination — it’s designed to become part of the neighbourhood’s everyday rhythm.”

Abhilash Menon, Co-Founder, added, “Sahakarnagar allowed us to upgrade the format. While live sport remains part of our DNA, this outlet balances that energy with warmth and familiarity. It’s an everyday bar for corporates around the area and a high-energy social sports club for residents — a space that feels just as natural on a Tuesday evening as it does during a tournament final.”

Designed for the Neighbourhood

Unlike traditional sports bars positioned purely around big-match screenings, the Sahakarnagar outlet introduces a balanced social environment. Premium audio-visual integration ensures immersive viewing without disturbing the dining experience.

The objective is simple: to become the default neighbourhood choice within a 3–4 km radius — a consistent, high-energy yet comfortable social space for residents and nearby corporates.

The menu is crafted for everyday dining, featuring contemporary global plates and modern Indian favourites designed for sharing — from Togarashi Lotus and Chilly Plum Babycorn to Truffle Mushroom Potli and Kalmi Paneer Tikka. Larger plates such as Tartufo Mushroom Pasta, Fiery Asian Sizzler, Chettinad Pepper Paneer, Spicy Cilantro Chicken Pizza, The Studs Smash Burger, and Slow-cooked Ceylon Lamb Curry add heartiness, while desserts like Rasmalai Panna Cotta and Dark Matter offer a memorable finish. With interactive gaming elements, curated music programming, and comfortable seating designed for extended sittings, the outlet blends vibrant sports culture with neighbourhood familiarity.

By uniting six diverse regions in a single roast, we celebrate the richness of our land and the people who tend it. We hope every sip brings exceptional flavour and a sense of pride in Indian coffee. We intend to present coffee in a way that is bold, confident, refined and deeply rooted in our culture. Baaghini Blend symbolises quiet strength and harmony. It should feel like a thoughtful and immersive experience that nurtures and delights. Qaffeine Bistro is a place where craft, cuisine and ambience come together to create moments that are deeply satisfying and meaningful.

The Meemee’s Flavours Filling Up Everyone’s Carts

If you’ve ordered from Meemee’s recently, you already know one thing is never enough! Most people start with the Toasties. Soft cookies, thick layers of ice cream, and just the right amount of mess. They’re quick, easy, and somehow gone in minutes. Then come the Tubsters, and that’s usually where all plans of “keeping it light” fall apart. One spoon in, and you’re already digging through layers of cream, crunch, and sauce, trying to get the perfect bite every single time.

The Roleys sit somewhere in between. Small, rolled and easy to keep reaching for, especially when you don’t want to commit to a full tub but still want something fun on the side. What’s really driving repeat orders, though, are the flavours. People are clearly leaning into the richer side, Brown Butter Almond has been a strong favourite with its nutty, slightly toasted flavour that feels indulgent without being too heavy. Coffee-based options are right up there too, especially the Vietnamese Iced Coffee Ice Cream Tub, which brings that bold, slightly intense kick that works any time of day. And then there’s the Timeless Tiramisu, a classic that people keep going back to when they want something familiar but still loaded with flavour.

Across formats and flavours, the pattern that remains the same is that people don’t stick to just one. A toastie to start, a tub to share (or not), maybe something extra just because it looks too good to skip. It’s this mix of choice and comfort that’s making Meemee’s a regular in people’s orders right now. Not saved for occasions, not overthought, just something you know will hit every time.

Because at this point, it’s less about having ice cream and more about deciding how much of it you want.

An Afternoon of Stories at LOYA, Taj West End, Bengaluru

Bengaluru, March 2026: LOYA, Taj West End, Bengaluru, marked World Storytelling Day with an intimate, thoughtfully curated gathering that gently brought people together through their shared love for stories and the moments that shape them.

The afternoon was envisioned as a thoughtful exchange on storytelling as a means of preserving meaning, capturing the beauty, emotion, and quiet depth of everyday experiences, much like the food around which we come together to connect and celebrate.

Joining the conversation were writer and journalist Ruth D’Souza Prabhu, wine expert and writer Ruma Singh, hospitality connoisseur Aslam Gafoor, and sensory artist Indu Antony, celebrated for chronicling the evocative scents of Karnataka.

As the dialogue deepened, it became clear that while their mediums differed, storytelling remained the thread that connected them all. Rooted in Indian heritage and culture, food emerged as a powerful, unifying metaphor, one that brings together diverse memories, voices, and viewpoints, echoing the spirit that LOYA seeks to celebrate and share.

The menu featured a thoughtful selection of dishes that have a long history and a strong story to tell such as, Dal ki Chaat, Dahi Kraal alongside Gola Paratha, Tudkiya Bhaat, Kala Moti Gucchi Pulao, to name some of the dishes served on the occasion.

Amidst the serene setting of Taj West End, Bengaluru, the afternoon unfolded with quiet elegance, as stories emerged organically through meaningful conversation and thoughtfully curated cuisine. Through experiences such as these, LOYA continues to carve a unique space where food, culture, and storytelling come together in a way that resonates far beyond the dining table.

The Passport Hotel opens in Assagaon, Goa

The Passport Hotel in Assagaon, Goa, is making waves as India’s first "cocktail-forward" traveler’s hotel. Positioned as a hub for digital nomads, creative professionals, and luxury seekers, it blends the charm of a boutique stay with high-end mixology and a focus on privacy.

Concept: The Cocktail-Forward Stay

Unlike traditional hotels where the bar is an afterthought, The Passport Hotel integrates mixology into the entire guest experience.

  • The Welcome: Guests are often greeted with a cocktail at check-in rather than a standard juice.

  • Mini Bar (The Lobby Lounge): The lobby functions as a social cocktail bar featuring smooth jazz, snacks, and a space designed for strangers to become travel buddies.

  • Layover (Rooftop Venue): A premier rooftop restaurant and bar paired with an infinity pool. It overlooks the lush Assagaon hills and offers "cinematic sunsets" and elevated global comfort cuisine.

Strategic Location: Assagaon

Assagaon is known as Goa’s "Land of Flowers" and has become the state’s trendy, artsy inland hub.

  • The Vibe: It offers a quieter, more sophisticated alternative to the bustling beach strips of Vagator and Baga, while remaining only about 2.4 km to 2.8 km away from Vagator Beach.

  • Accessibility: It is well-positioned for those looking to explore North Goa's famous restaurants (like Gunpowder or Bawri) while maintaining a "home base" feel.

Accommodations & Design

The hotel features 27 rooms designed for both short escapes and long-term stays.

  • Work-Friendly: Recognizing the "workation" trend, rooms include high-speed WiFi (50+ Mbps) and dedicated work corners.

  • Luxury Touches: Options include Junior Suites with Jacuzzis, private balconies, and premium bedding.

  • Atmosphere: The design leans into "boutique charm" with an emphasis on privacy—a feature that has reportedly made it a favorite for celebrities seeking a low-profile stay.

Key Amenities & Experiences

FeatureDetailsPoolsRooftop infinity pool with a view of the hills.DiningLayover (Rooftop) and Mini Bar (Lobby).WellnessMorning yoga sessions and curated culture walks.Connectivity High-speed WiFi throughout, tailored for remote workers.EventsJazz nights and private rooftop events.

Summary of Development

The Passport Hotel represents a shift in Goa's hospitality landscape—moving away from massive resorts toward specialized, niche boutique properties that cater to specific lifestyles (like the cocktail enthusiast or the digital nomad). It positions itself not just as a place to sleep, but as a "passport" to a slower, more curated Goan experience.

Rethink Rajasthan: This Summer, It’s Not Jaipur - It’s Jaisalmer

For decades, Rajasthan’s travel narrative has centred around Jaipur and Udaipur - palaces, lakes and well-trodden itineraries. But this summer, the spotlight shifts westward, to a city that feels more immersive, more elemental, and quietly more compelling: Jaisalmer.
Set deep within the Thar Desert, Jaisalmer offers a version of Rajasthan that is less curated and more experiential. Its golden sandstone architecture doesn’t just define the skyline—it reflects the desert itself, changing colour with the light through the day. At its heart, the Jaisalmer Fort rises as a living citadel, where homes, temples, and markets continue to exist within its ancient walls.

Beyond the city, the experience transforms. The desert becomes the destination—rolling dunes, vast skies, and a pace that naturally slows. Early mornings begin with stillness and soft light, while evenings unfold with cultural performances, local cuisine, and stargazing that feels far removed from urban life.

Framing this shift in perspective is Jaisalmer Marriott Resort & Spa, offering a contemporary gateway into the region. Designed to mirror the tones and textures of the city, the resort blends seamlessly into its surroundings while providing the comfort and scale of a modern luxury retreat. Spacious rooms and suites open out to views of the fort or the desert horizon, ensuring the destination remains ever-present. Experiences extend beyond the property—from curated visits to the Sand Dunes to evenings that bring together regional flavours and storytelling—allowing guests to engage with Jaisalmer in a more considered, immersive way.

What sets Jaisalmer apart, especially in the summer months, is its ability to feel expansive rather than overwhelming. With fewer crowds and a landscape that invites slower travel, it offers a more intimate way to experience Rajasthan—one that goes beyond landmarks and into atmosphere.

Bangalore Gets Its Most Spectacular Rooftop Yet: Novakan Opens Above Vittal Mallya Road

Bangalore, India – March 2026: The view alone would make it one of the city’s most coveted addresses. But Novakan, the newly opened rooftop lounge perched atop Table Space Terrace (CCD Square) on Vittal Mallya Road, is designed to be far more than a vantage point.

Overlooking the vast green canopy of Cubbon Park with the Bangalore skyline unfolding beyond, Novakan arrives as one of the city’s most anticipated hospitality openings of the year—a destination where world-class mixology, globally influenced music programming, and refined culinary craft converge above one of Bangalore’s most iconic neighbourhoods.

The name Novakan, translating to “New Star”, signals exactly what the space intends to be: a new beacon in the city’s nightlife and dining landscape.

A Rooftop That Transforms With the Day

From sunlit brunches to coveted sunset hours and late-night gatherings, Novakan evolves across the day. As golden light spills across the terrace and the skyline shifts into evening glow, the rooftop becomes a vibrant social playground—where the energy of the city meets the ease of a holiday evening.

The result is an experience that feels less like an urban venue and more like stepping into the first evening of a long-awaited escape.

One of Bangalore’s Rarest Views

Set atop Table Space Terrace at CCD Square, moments from UB City, Novakan commands a view few spaces in central Bangalore can claim.

  • Daytime: Sunlight filters across Cubbon Park’s uninterrupted green expanse.

  • Sunset: The sky becomes the evening’s centrepiece.

  • Night: The skyline glows as the terrace settles into its rhythm.

At Novakan, the view is not merely a backdrop—it is the centre of the experience.

A Landmark Collaboration

Novakan is born from a collaboration between Table Space, India’s leading enterprise managed office brand, and VRO Hospitality, one of the country’s most influential hospitality groups known for shaping dynamic dining and nightlife experiences.

“Table Space has always been a pioneer—we’ve taken the same intent we brought to building world-class offices and extended it into how the city gathers and connects. Every element designed with purpose, every decision made to the highest standard—because Bangalore deserves a rooftop with genuine global credentials, rooted in one of its most iconic neighbourhoods.”
Karan Chopra, Chairman and Co-CEO, Table Space

“We’ve always believed hospitality is about creating moments people remember. With Novakan, the setting already gives you the magic, our job was simply to build an experience worthy of that view.”
Dawn Thomas, Co-Founder, VRO Hospitality

A Bar Program With Global Pedigree

The bar at Novakan is led by Matteo Cadeddu, an internationally recognised mixologist whose work has been featured in a bar ranked among Asia’s 50 Best Bars 2025.

Known as a pioneering voice in the Liquid Surreality movement, Matteo’s approach pushes cocktail craft beyond flavour into immersive sensory experiences—where perception, texture, and storytelling shape every drink.

At Novakan, the bar is not simply where drinks are served. It is a centre of performance and craft.

New Layover Filter, Travel Guidance and T20 Highlights New Layover Filter Helps Travellers Navigate Middle East Disruptions

As the conflict in the Middle East continues to cause widespread airspace closures across the region, flights transiting through key hubs including Dubai, Doha, and Abu Dhabi, have faced significant disruptions, including cancellations, delays, and rerouting. With a large volume of international travel passing through these transit points, many travellers from India have been directly impacted.

In response, Skyscanner has introduced a Layover filter, designed to give travellers greater control over their connection preferences when searching for flights. Available on both desktop and mobile web, this allows users to exclude specific connecting airports from search results, adjust preferred layover durations, and identify alternative routing options away from disrupted hubs.

Alongside, Skyscanner has published an India-specific guide, including up-to-date flight schedules from Emirates, Etihad, and Qatar Airways on routes to and from major Indian cities, live arrivals and departures boards for ten Indian airports, and step-by-step advice on refunds and rebooking if flights are cancelled. It also covers travel insurance considerations, provides live flight status tools for major Middle East airports, and links directly to the Ministry of External Affairs for official government travel advisories.

Skyscanner’s Nationwide OOH Campaign Brought the T20 World Cup Action Beyond the Stadium

The ICC Men's T20 World Cup ended on a historic high for India, with the team defending its title under captain Suryakumar ‘SKY’ Yadav and lifting the trophy for the third time. To bring the excitement beyond stadiums, Skyscanner launched a nationwide out-of-home campaign that turned stadium precincts, airports, and commuter corridors into extensions of the live cricket experience. Rooted in SKY's audacious, explosive style, the creative idea playfully imagined his boundary-hitting shots escaping the stadium and "breaking" real billboards across Mumbai, Delhi, and Ahmedabad, while hundreds of digital screens at Delhi Airport, Mumbai Metro, and other transit hubs kept commuters connected with live scores, fixture countdowns, and points tables in real time.

Skyscanner’s ‘Mere Paas Ek Banda Hain’ Campaign Shows You Don’t Need a “Guy” for the Best Deals

Skyscanner’s latest Mere Paas Ek Banda Hain (I Know A Guy) ad campaignstarring Suryakumar Yadav, tapped into a familiar phrase, where everyone claims to know someone who can secure the best deal. The campaign features a film that plays out as a chain of increasingly confident “mere paas ek banda hain” moments, each person passing their buck to their “guy”, until SKY steps in to break the cycle. The message was simple: you don’t need personal connections when Skyscanner compares prices and puts options in one place.

Island Wellness Redefined at Four Seasons Resorts Maldives

There are few places in the world where wellness feels as natural as it does in the Maldives. At the two island retreats Four Seasons Resort Maldives at Landaa Giraavaru and Four Seasons Resort Maldives at Kuda Huraa wellbeing is not just a spa treatment you book for an afternoon. It is woven into the rhythm of island life. Imagine waking up to endless turquoise waters, soft ocean breezes and the quiet stillness that only a remote island can offer. Days begin slowly here. Perhaps with sunrise yoga by the water, a swim in the lagoon, or simply a moment of pause before breakfast. The surroundings themselves encourage you to slow down, something many of us rarely do in our everyday lives.

AyurMa, Four Seasons Resort Maldives at Landaa Giraavaru

At Landaa Giraavaru, wellness takes on a deeply immersive form through AyurMa, a pioneering centre for holistic healing rooted in the ancient science of Ayurveda. Here, the focus is not just relaxation, but restoration. The programmes combine traditional Ayurvedic therapies, yoga, meditation and modern wellness practices to create experiences tailored to each guest.

Treatments are thoughtfully curated after consultations with Ayurvedic doctors who assess your lifestyle and wellbeing goals. Guests may find themselves experiencing therapies such as Abhyanga massages, Panchakarma-inspired rituals or guided meditation sessions designed to bring balance to the body and mind. The setting only enhances the experience treatment rooms suspended over water, gentle waves in the background, and the feeling that time has slowed down.

Beyond the treatment rooms, Landaa Giraavaru encourages guests to reconnect with nature. Activities such as aerial yoga, sound healing and beach meditation allow visitors to explore different pathways to mindfulness. It is the kind of place where wellness becomes less about a schedule and more about discovering what truly helps you feel balanced.

Urja Naturopathy, Four Seasons Resort Maldives at Kuda Huraa

A short speedboat ride away, a different but equally restorative philosophy unfolds at Urja Naturopathy (The Island Spa). The focus here is on natural healing through the principles of Naturopathy which is working with the body rather than against it. It offers personalised programmes that blend therapeutic treatments, nutrition, yoga and lifestyle guidance. Hydrotherapy sessions, detoxifying body treatments and guided wellness consultations are designed to support the body’s natural healing processes. For many guests, it becomes an opportunity not just to unwind, but to reset habits and gain insights that extend well beyond the holiday.

Summit Hotels & Resorts Signs Two New Boutique Properties in Siliguri and Darjeeling Hills

Siliguri, March 2026: Homegrown hospitality chain, Summit Hotels & Resorts has announced the signing of two new boutique properties in North Bengal, further strengthening its presence across the Darjeeling and Siliguri region, one of the fastest growing tourism corridors in Eastern India. The hospitality group has signed Summit Gulma River Resort in Siliguri and Summit Falling Water near Darjeeling, both 30-room boutique properties positioned around nature-led experiences and intimate hospitality formats. The Siliguri property is expected to open on 15 August, while the Darjeeling project is scheduled to open in early January 2027.

Located in the Gulma area of Siliguri, overlooking the scenic Gulma Tea Estate and a flowing river, Summit Gulma River Resort is being developed as a boutique hospitality address combining leisure stays with event-led demand. The 30-room hotel will feature a mix of standard and studio-style rooms with kitchenettes suited for extended stays. The property will also include an in-house restaurant, bar, spa, gym and a banquet hall with capacity for approximately 150 guests, positioning it as a venue for boutique weddings, celebrations and corporate gatherings in the tea garden belt of Siliguri.

The second property, Summit Falling Water, will be located at Rangbull, around 3 kilometres before Darjeeling town, along the main highway connecting the hill station. Designed as an off-beat destination stay, the hotel draws architectural inspiration from the iconic Fallingwater residence designed by Frank Lloyd Wright, integrating the structure with the natural landscape. Built over a natural water stream that flows through the property, the hotel will offer 30 rooms with private balconies overlooking the stream and surrounding hills. The Darjeeling Himalayan Railway (Toy Train) track passes directly in front of the property, allowing guests views of the heritage train from the hotel.

"North Bengal continues to be one of the most compelling tourism regions in Eastern India, with demand driven by leisure travellers, weddings and the growing popularity of experiential hill destinations. With Summit Gulma River Resort in Siliguri and Summit Falling Water near Darjeeling, we are focusing on boutique properties that are deeply connected to their surroundings. Whether it is tea garden landscapes in the plains or a stream flowing through a hill property with views of the toy train, our aim is to create stays where the destination itself becomes the central experience for travellers," Sumit Mitruka, Founder of Summit Hotels & Resorts commented.

The property will also feature a restaurant, coffee shop, spa overlooking the stream, gym, and large parking facilities. Seasonal snowfall in the area during winter months is expected to further enhance the destination appeal. With these additions, Summit Hotels & Resorts continues to deepen its footprint in the Eastern Himalayan region, focusing on smaller boutique formats that integrate local landscape, accessibility and experiential stays rather than large-scale resort developments.
