Legacy Tangra Comes to Pune: A Celebration of Culture, Craft & Culinary

Some food stories are not just cooked, they are lived, passed down, and fiercely protected. This February, The Westin Pune Koregaon Park invites the city to witness one such story unfold with A Taste of Tangra, an immersive celebration of Kolkata’s legendary Indo-Chinese cuisine.

Rooted in the historic neighborhood of Tangra in Kolkata that is now home to generations of Chinese families, Tangra cuisine represents a rare cultural confluence. With over 45 years of culinary experience, Chef Liao is a respected custodian of Tangra’s culinary traditions, known for preserving authentic recipes, mastering precise wok skills, and safeguarding flavours that have stood the test of time. His arrival in Pune marks a rare opportunity for diners to experience Tangra cuisine as it was meant to be —uncompromising, soulful, and steeped in heritage.

Adding to the celebration, guests are invited to witness the traditional Lion Dance performances at the hotel on 27th February, 28th February, and 1st March.
