Goa on a plate at JW Marriott Goa

Presenting Goa’s signature culinary favorites on a plate in a luxury setting.

Goa, October 2026 – Goa reveals itself in its food as much as in its landscape. From the daily catch along the coast to the spices ground in village kitchens, its culinary identity remains deeply rooted in terrain and tradition. At JW Marriott Goa, the signature favorites of the state, better known by locals as the Goan Thali, come together on a single plate, celebrating flavors that define Goan homes and heritage. Prepared by our Goan chefs using recipes passed down through generations, each element is presented with care and authenticity, elevated by the understated luxury, thoughtful craftsmanship and refined hospitality that define the JW Marriott experience.

The thali tells the story of Goa’s coastal communities, whose lives and kitchens have long been shaped by the day’s catch and the rhythms of the sea. At its heart is xit kodi , or rice and fish curry, the soul of the traditional Goan meal. Coconut-rich gravies, the tang of kokum, distinctive spice blends and locally sourced seasonal produce come together in a celebration of the region’s culinary heritage. Rooted in time-honored techniques and guided by a deep understanding of local ingredients, every preparation honors the simplicity and soul of Goan cooking. Served in the serene, luxurious setting of JW Marriott Goa, the Goan Thali offers more than a meal; it is an invitation to savor the authentic flavors of Goa, thoughtfully brought together on a plate and experienced through a lens of contemporary luxury.

The non-vegetarian thali features Rawa Fry Surmai, Mutton Xacuti, Sungtache Kodi and Chicken Cafreal, served with traditional Goan accompaniments and finished with Coconut-Crusted Bebinca. The vegetarian selection showcases, Rissois de Queijo Vegetable Xacuti, Mushroom, Green Peas & Cashew Caldeen and Potato Cafreal, alongside classic sides and Coconut-Crusted Dodol for dessert. Both thalis are served with Soul Kadi, a traditional Goan kokum and coconut drink that balances the richness of the meal with its tangy, refreshing flavor.

Served at JW Kitchen, the Goan Thali brings these regional flavors into a refined setting. A favorite among guests, it has become a ritual for travelers returning to Goa and a must-experience addition to the bucket list for those discovering the state for the first time.

In the spirit of susegad, Goa's celebrated approach to unhurried living, the experience invites guests to slow down and savor each preparation. More than a meal, it is an opportunity to discover Goa through its food, one that lingers in memory long after the journey home.

Supa San Bandra Brings a New Spin to Karaoke Nights in Mumbai

The music-led Japanese izakaya invites guests to take the mic every Thursday, pairing community-led karaoke with Japanese-inspired food, cocktails and an evening shaped by music.

At Supa San Bandra West, music is more than a backdrop to dining; it is at the heart of the experience. Bringing the spirit of Japanese karaoke culture to Bandra, the music-led Japanese izakaya by Aditya Birla New Age Hospitality (ABNAH) invites guests to step behind the microphone every Thursday for an evening of singing, shared moments and good company.

Located on the 14th floor of Mansionz One on Linking Road, Supa San Bandra explores Japan through its rich musical culture, drawing inspiration from listening bars, vinyl cafés, neighbourhood izakayas, record stores and the after-hours energy of Shinjuku. Its approach to hospitality brings together food, drinks, design and music to create a space that encourages guests to linger, discover and participate.

At the centre of its karaoke experience is a dedicated private karaoke room that transforms every Thursday into an open, community-led singing session. Guests can put in their song requests, grab a drink and wait for their turn behind the microphone, making the evening as much about discovering new voices and sharing favourite tracks as it is about singing along. The room is also available for private celebrations and events, offering groups an opportunity to make the experience their own.

The karaoke experience is complemented by Supa San’s extensive Japanese-inspired menu, featuring over 100+ dishes across The Counter, The Grill and The Pot, with almost 50% of the menu dedicated to vegetarian preparations. From small plates designed for sharing to sushi, tempura and robata-grilled dishes, the menu encourages guests to explore different flavours while settling into the evening.

The beverage programme, NOW PLAYING, carries the restaurant’s music-first philosophy into its cocktail menu, conceived like a curated record collection. Divided into five sections, Low Volume, The Hits, Covers, Deep Cuts and Full Volume, the menu moves from lighter serves to more spirit-forward cocktails, allowing guests to find a drink that matches their mood. Signatures such as PONPONPON, a Japanese-inspired take on the Jungle Bird featuring white miso, pineapple and toasted coconut, and SPARKLE, combining gin with yuzu kosho and salt, bring together familiar cocktail formats and distinctive Japanese ingredients. For those seeking alcohol-free options, Instrumentals offers a dedicated zero-proof selection.

Beyond karaoke, music is woven into the restaurant’s design and programming. The Sound Archive, created in collaboration with Roland, showcases iconic synthesizers, drum machines, grooveboxes and guitar pedals, celebrating the instruments that have shaped music across genres. The Culture Shelf brings together vinyl records, Japanese-inspired artefacts, curated artwork and exclusive Supa San merchandise, extending the restaurant’s music-led identity into its physical surroundings.

Designed by Patch Design Studio, the 110-seater space offers a mix of communal dining, intimate seating and an open-to-sky alfresco section with a retractable roof. As the day transitions into evening, relaxed playlists give way to resident DJs, guest performances and music-led programming, with weekends bringing a more energetic social atmosphere.

At Supa San Bandra, Thursday karaoke offers another way to experience the Japanese izakaya beyond the table, bringing people together through music, familiar favourites and the simple joy of singing along.

OMO and Hearth Unite Over a Menu of Fire, Flavour and Unexpected Combinations

OMO makes its Mumbai debut for one night only, as its produce-forward, fermentation-led cooking meets Hearth's instinctive, open-fire craft.

Mumbai, October 2026: For the first time, Gurgaon's OMO comes to Mumbai. On October 9th, the restaurant makes its city debut with a one-night-only collaboration at Hearth, on the first floor of Churchgate's iconic Eros Cinema building. Two restaurants with distinct philosophies, one rooted in ingredients, seasonality and time, the other in fire, instinct and flavour, will share a single kitchen and a single table, and Mumbai will get its first taste of OMO's cooking.

OMO, led by Culinary Director Chef Chetna Chopra, is known for globally influenced, ingredient-led plates that draw on India's regional produce and food traditions. Hearth, a fire-led restaurant built around open-flame cooking and chef-driven warmth, brings the char, smoke and generosity of its kitchen. Across bar bites, mains and desserts, the menu moves between smoke, char, spice, fermentation and unexpected flavour combinations, with a special cocktail menu created for the evening to be announced shortly.

The collaboration brings OMO and Hearth signatures together rather than creating a menu that belongs entirely to one kitchen. From the bar bites, guests can expect Hearth’s Grilled Cheese, made with a truffle cheese blend, blue cheese dip and caramelised onions; Smoked Pork Toast with rosemary focaccia, smoked pork and chorizo sofrito; and Smoked Duck Tostada with masa tostada, wafu ketchup, smoked duck and arugula.

The bar bites menu also brings OMO’s signature to the table with Jackfruit Croquettes, served with coconut salan, falsa and jamun compote and saffron pita, and Mushroom Petals, deep-fried oyster mushrooms with chimichurri and Bombay aioli. OMO’s Finger Millet Fries, tossed in fragrant Timur salt and served with Sikkimese dalle chilli aioli, add another playful bar bite to the evening.

For the mains, OMO brings some of its signatures to the collaboration, including Charred Oyster Mushroom with harissa, tamarind and jaggery glaze, muhammara feta spread, pistachio dukkah, herb and chilli thecha, cucumber raita and pita; Naga Chilli Linguine with house-made fermented Naga chilli butter; and Saffron Risotto with Kashmiri-grown saffron, Karpurkranti rice, charred asparagus, moringa marrow, potato salli and Gondhoraj lime-scented goat’s cheese.

Hearth’s signatures bring its fire-led cooking into the mix, with Podi Rubbed Chicken served with lime crema, curry leaf and garlic tempering and grilled lemon; Tiger Prawns & Poi with chilli garlic and herb butter; the Hearth Signature Smash Burger with double-patty buff, caramelised onions, cheddar, house mustard and dill pickles; and Lamb Chops & Bheja, pairing spiced lamb chops with bheja masala and roselle jus.

The collaboration also sees the two kitchens come together on dishes created specifically for the evening. Corn Ribs feature monsoon corn with Sankeshwari chilli glaze, fermented black garlic, toasted coconut and pineapple pico, finished with charred galgal lemon, while Hearth’s signature pork chop will bring the restaurant’s fire-led approach into the menu. OMO’s The Seitan pairs homemade seitan with Sankeshwari chilli and fermented black garlic sauce, charred pineapple and onion, finished with OMO’s tropical ketchup.

The evening closes with desserts from the Hearth menu, including Coffee & Nolen Gur, combining nolen gur and miso ice cream, coffee mousse, brown butter cake, pecan praline and nolen gur caramel; Kappi Clouds French Toast, a caramelised milk bread French toast layered with white chocolate and cream cheese clouds, soaked in a velvety espresso crème anglaise made with micro-batch coffee from Nagaland, offering a comforting take on tiramisu; and Hearth S’mores, with rice cracker, dark chocolate, Maldon salt and marshmallow fluff.

Together, the two restaurants keep what makes each of them distinct: OMO's playful, curious flavour combinations, shaped by seasonality, fermentation and time, and Hearth's belief in fire as a cooking language. The result is a one-evening menu that moves freely between both kitchens, with a cocktail menu for the collaboration to be announced shortly. The collaboration also marks a wider moment for both restaurants in Mumbai this October. Alongside the one-night menu together, OMO and Hearth will each feature independently at SALT, a food, drink and culture festival by Goya Journal, taking place on October 10 and 11 at Pioneer Hall, Bandra. Chef Chetna Chopra's cooking is shaped by years spent working on farms in Italy, an experience that grounded her interest in where food comes from and the people who grow it, and today informs OMO's approach to seasonality, traceable produce, regional food traditions and techniques like fermentation and preservation. Hearth brings the same instinctive, ingredient-led and memory-driven cooking that defines its Churchgate kitchen, rooted in Indian traditions and shaped by global technique. At SALT, both restaurants join a gathering of fifty makers across food, drink, home and lifestyle, in a festival built around the idea that hosting, at its best, starts with knowing your ingredients and the stories behind them. From the house of Goya Journal, which has spent over a decade documenting how India eats, SALT brings together the products, recipes and people worth knowing as the festive season begins, and both kitchens' presence there extends the same food philosophies they bring together for their Mumbai collaboration.

OMO x Hearth takes place on October 9, 2026, at Hearth, Churchgate, Mumbai.

Address: Hearth, 1st Floor, Eros Theatre, Cambata Building, Opp Churchgate Station, Maharshi Karve Road, Churchgate 400020

Yasmin Karachiwala Brings Her Signature Fitness Experience to Pune

September , Pune: India's foremost Pilates expert and celebrity fitness instructor, Yasmin Karachiwala, has inaugurated her new studio, Yasmin Karachiwala Body Image (YKBI), in Pune. Opened in partnership with Muscle Bar, a calisthenics gym, the studio brings together two complementary approaches to strength, mobility, and mindful movement under one roof.

With over three decades of experience, Yasmin Karachiwala has played a defining role in shaping India's contemporary fitness landscape. Recognized as the country's first BASI-certified Pilates instructor, she has trained some of India's most celebrated personalities, including Alia Bhatt, Katrina Kaif, Deepika Padukone, Ananya Panday, and Hrithik Roshan. She is also the author of acclaimed fitness titles such as The Perfect 10: 10-Minute Workouts You Can Do Anywhere and co-author of Sculpt and Shape: The Pilates Way.

“We are delighted to partner with Muscle Bar to bring YKBI to Pune and make Pilates more accessible to the community in this city. What makes it so effective is its versatility. It can benefit everyone from children to senior citizens, from desk-job professionals to homemakers and elite athletes,” said Yasmin Karachiwala at the launch. “Pilates is not about how much you can do, but how well you can move. It builds strength with control, improves mobility and creates a deeper understanding of your body. I have seen how the right Pilates practice can transform the way we train and recover.”

“When we started Musclebar in 2019, our focus was building an Open air gym with calisthenics and functional fitness as prime focus. Over the years, our vision has evolved into a space where people can find different forms of training and recovery patterns. Pilates was a very natural addition to that vision, and partnering with Yasmin Karachiwala’s Body Image allows us to bring it to Sopanbaug with the right expertise and experience. For us, this launch is another step towards building a complete fitness ecosystem for everyone, regardless of their age, fitness level or preferred way of training,” said Murtaza Fakhruddin Nasir, Co-founder of Musclebar and Musclebar sports club at the launch.

Yasmin Karachiwala's Body Image Pune studio offers a wide range of classes, including mat, reformer, chair, tower, mixed equipment, and small equipment sessions, recommended based on what will benefit each client most. The studio is equipped with Reformers, Chairs, and Towers, along with small equipment such as magic circles, strength straps, power pods, and booty bands.

To welcome new members, YKBI Pune is offering an exclusive introductory package: a single session for Rs 999, 4 sessions for Rs 2,999 (valid for 10 days), or 7 sessions for Rs 4,999 (valid for 20 days).

The partnership with Muscle Bar gives Pune's fitness community a space where Pilates and calisthenics complement each other, helping members build strength, control, and body awareness. With YKBI, Pune, it's time to move, breathe, and embrace a stronger, more balanced you.
