CURA Restaurant at Four Seasons Hotel Ritz Lisbon Brings Its Concept to Life Through a Curation of Contemporary Art in Dialogue with Chef Rodolfo Lavrador's Menu

In CURADORISMO, now premiering at CURA and on display until the end of the year, Chef Rodolfo Lavrador invites ceramicist Maria Ana Vasco Costa and textile artist Vanessa Barragão into a dialogue between gastronomy and art, where the works created are born from a sensorial and immersive interpretation of the menu
CURA restaurant, at the heart of Four Seasons Hotel Ritz Lisbon and with a Michelin star since 2021, opens a new chapter in its identity: the gastronomic experience expands into a territory of continuous artistic curation, where the kitchen ceases to be an end in itself and becomes, instead, a point of departure.

Set within one of the city's most iconic addresses, Four Seasons Hotel Ritz Lisbon is a veritable museum. Opened in 1959 with one of the largest privately owned collections of Portuguese modern art in the country — featuring works by Almada Negreiros, Carlos Botelho, Sarah Afonso, Querubim Lapa, and Lagoa Henriques, among others — the Hotel has always been a living museum where art and hospitality are inseparable. It is within this legacy that CURA finds its place, projecting itself now into the field of contemporary creation. With CURADORISMO, Chef Rodolfo Lavrador invites new artists to continue writing this story, in a dialogue between gastronomy, ceramics, and textile that honours the same visionary spirit that has characterised the Hotel from the very beginning.

CURADORISMO marks the beginning of a structured project that gives explicit, tangible form to the very concept of the restaurant — CURA as an exercise in selection, sensibility, and the construction of meaning. It is a logic of curation that has always existed on the plate, and which now extends into the space through works created exclusively to accompany and interpret the menu.

"I have a particular interest in art and had already been following the work of these artists for some time. I wanted the menu to draw inspiration from other forms of expression and create a dynamic with people who share a similar energy to mine — a real sense of alignment," explains Chef Rodolfo Lavrador.

For this first edition, CURA invites two contemporary artists — Maria Ana Vasco Costa and Vanessa Barragão — to develop original pieces in direct dialogue with CURA’s tasting menu. More than an illustrative exercise, this is a conceptual extension of the kitchen: a parallel, sensorial, and material reading of the gastronomic experience.

The project starts with the work of Maria Ana Vasco Costa, now on display until September 2026. From that point, CURA welcomes artist Vanessa Barragão, ensuring a curatorial continuity that reinforces the dynamic and ever-evolving nature of CURADORISMO.

CURADORISMO is, above all, a project in motion. Over time, it will extend the dialogue to other forms of art, engaging with different artists and creative disciplines, expanding the restaurant beyond the table and positioning it as a meeting point between thought, matter, and expression. Inverting the usual process, in CURADORISMO it is art that is born from the kitchen. Each artist departs from the narrative, rhythms, flavours, and identity of the menu to build a body of work of their own — translating the culinary experience into visual and tactile matter

Four Seasons Hotel Jakarta Launches “Flavours Without Borders” with Thai Culinary Showcase from Four Seasons Hotel Bangkok at Chao Phraya River

Four Seasons Hotel Jakarta presents Flavours Without Borders, a new culinary series celebrating cross-cultural exchange through the language of food. Launching with its inaugural chapter, the series debuts with a Thai showcase from Chao Phraya Terrace at Four Seasons Hotel Bangkok, arriving at Palm Court this June.

During A Taste of Bangkok, from June 8 to 12, 2026, guest chefs from Bangkok will take residence at Palm Court, presenting a menu rooted in Thai culinary tradition and shaped by contemporary finesse. Designed as an extension of the restaurant’s existing à la carte offering, the experience features 10 to 15 curated dishes that capture the vibrant and aromatic complexity of Thai cuisine. Highlights include Tom Yum seafood with local daily catch, Massaman beef cheek curry with potato and pickled shallots, and grilled squid with spicy wing bean salad and Thai macadamia seafood sauce, alongside desserts such as mango sticky rice with pandan sauce and calamansi granita with white chocolate panna cotta. À la carte dishes start from IDR 110,000++. Following the chefs’ residency, the menu will remain available through the end of June, extending the experience for Jakarta’s discerning dining community.

Leading the collaboration are Chef de Cuisine Jessada Khruapunt, alongside Chef de Partie Sirinya Chutiwan and Commis Chef Natthapon Panyachai, each bringing a perspective shaped by Bangkok’s dynamic culinary landscape and the riverside spirit of their home restaurant.

Set along the banks of the Chao Phraya River, Chao Phraya Terrace at Four Seasons Hotel Bangkok is defined by its casually elegant approach to Thai cuisine, guided by a farm-to-table philosophy. The menu highlights sustainably sourced local ingredients and the time-honoured craft of charcoal grilling, imparting a distinctive depth of flavour while drawing on premium regional produce from across Thailand.

“At Chao Phraya Terrace, our cuisine is inspired by the richness of Thailand’s culinary heritage and the vibrancy of its local ingredients,” says Chef Jessada Khruapunt. “Bringing these flavours to Jakarta is an opportunity to share that story beyond borders, while creating something memorable in a new setting.”

This collaboration introduces a new series of guest chef residencies from across the region and beyond. Conceived as a platform for exchange and a celebration of diverse gastronomic traditions, the series offers Jakarta’s social and business communities a refined setting for culinary discovery, with each chapter introducing a new destination and perspective

For the Woman Who Gave You the World: Show Her a New One This Mother’s Day with a Trip to Cooler Corners of Asia

If you’ve ever tried convincing the woman who gave you everything to take a break, you’ll know how easily she puts herself last and how there’s always something more “important” to do. This Mother’s Day, maybe don’t ask, just plan it for her. As extreme summer temperatures and heatwaves sweep across India, stepping away from the rising heat is a necessary reset. A short-haul getaway to the havens of SouthEast Asia offers the perfect way to provide her with a rejuvenating escape - an understated, cool retreat that she would never demand for herself, but will truly appreciate!

Here are five short-haul, cool-weather escapes to have in mind, where you can unwind, beat the heat, and create shared memories to cherish forever.

 Osaka, Japan

This is one of the best times to visit Osaka - an easy, flexible getaway you can plan around her pace, with pleasantly mild weather offering a welcome break from India’s summer heat. Start with a fun day at Universal Studios Japan, exploring attractions like The Wizarding World of Harry Potter together. The next day, plan a visit to Osaka Castle and a relaxed walk through its surrounding park. In the evening, head to Dotonbori for a canal-side stroll, stopping to try local favourites like takoyaki. It’s the kind of trip where you can mix a little fun with plenty of shared moments to cherish.

 Jeju, South Korea

Famous for its consistently breezy and cool climate, Jeju Island is a great pick for a calm break, especially for mums who rarely slow down and are always used to doing something. You could start with a relaxing spa session, followed by a scenic drive along the coast or a visit to the green tea fields. A brisk walk up Seongsan Ilchulbong or along the shoreline makes for a peaceful afternoon. To make the most of your time here, consider catching an early-morning or red-eye flight; an easy travel hack that often means better fares and more hours to explore. With airlines like Scoot offering convenient connections, and options like ScootPlus adding a bit more comfort with extra baggage and in-flight Wi-Fi, the journey can feel just as easy as the trip itself.

 Da Lat, Vietnam

Perched in the lush highlands, Da Lat is renowned for its perpetual springtime climate with its cool highland weather and laid-back charm. Start your day by Xuan Huong Lake with a walk or coffee, then head to the nearby flower gardens or pine forests for a bit of fresh air. You can visit places like the Valley of Love or simply spend time exploring the town’s small cafés and local markets. The overall pace here is slow and unhurried, making it ideal for mums who want to enjoy a cooler setting without feeling like they need to do too much.

 Belitung (Tanjung Pandan), Indonesia

If you are looking to switch off by the sea, Belitung is just the right destination. Known for its clear waters and striking granite rock formations, the island feels calm and uncrowded. Spend time at Tanjung Tinggi Beach, where soft white sand and dramatic boulders create a peaceful setting to relax. You can also plan a gentle island-hopping trip to Lengkuas Island, visiting its old lighthouse and enjoying the views. The rest of the time can be slow and simple at a quiet resort, exactly the kind of break she could use considering her daily grind.

 Malacca (Melaka), Malaysia

Malacca is a scenic destination that’s perfect for mums who enjoy culture without too much rush. Start with a slow walk through its historic centre, recognised as a UNESCO World Heritage Site and explore landmarks like Dutch Square and Christ Church. Spend time along Jonker Street browsing small shops and trying local snacks, then unwind with a short Melaka River cruise in the evening. Everything is close by, so you can move at a relaxed pace, taking in the charm of the city without feeling rushed.

For the woman who gives so much of herself every day, these refreshing escapes offer a chance to give something back. This Mother’s Day, plan a break that lets her step away, slow down, and finally take time just for herself, because sometimes, a little pause is all she truly needs

Four Seasons Hotel Tokyo at Marunouchi Reopens with a More Personal Vision of Boutique Hospitality in Tokyo

Four Seasons Hotel Tokyo at Marunouchi reopens following a transformative redesign that ushers in a new era of quiet luxury. Beyond reimagined interiors, the reopening introduces more considered guest experiences and expanded concierge programming designed to foster a deeper, more personal connection to Tokyo.

Marking a considered evolution of its legacy, the Hotel returns as a contemporary Nihon no teitaku – a modern interpretation of Japan’s stately manors. The newly transformed lobby, suites and rooms reveal a refined expression of residential living, curated by acclaimed interior architect André Fu around a singular principle: to amplify the timeless elegance and hospitality for which Four Seasons is renowned worldwide.

With just 57 keys, Four Seasons Hotel Tokyo at Marunouchi is defined by a rare sense of intimacy, welcoming travellers into a tranquil sanctuary in the heart of Japan’s iconic capital. Set minutes from Tokyo Station, the Hotel is at once an escape from and an entry point into the city’s vibrant pulse, offering guests the choice to engage with the bustle – or step away from it.

General Manager Jens Wycisk comments, “Four Seasons Hotel Tokyo at Marunouchi has long been the city’s premier boutique retreat. Our recent renovation and renewed commitment to personalised service reaffirm this promise for today’s travellers, bringing focus to serenity, connection and individuality. Meticulously curated spaces, paired with our team’s intuitive care, create the kind of meaningful encounters that stay with guests long after departure.”

A Serene Arrival

The discreet porte-cochère opens into a warm, richly textured lobby, a marked contrast to the cool cityscape just beyond. Composed as a mindful transition, the arrival area gently diffuses Tokyo’s bustling energy, guiding guests into a state of calm repose.

The lobby draws attention to interior landscapes sculpted with space and light, layering natural oak and grey marble with soft illumination that alludes to komorebi, the Japanese concept of sunshine filtering through trees. Crafted details anchor this intimate setting, from the glow of backlit shoji screens to washi-style lanterns.

Guests are welcomed with a glass of Champagne before being escorted directly to their room or suite for private check-in, creating an arrival experience that feels closer to entering a private residence than checking into a hotel. The personalised welcome also allows the team to better understand guest preferences and itineraries, enabling more tailored recommendations and experiences throughout the stay.

Quiet Luxury, Redefined

Reborn as a contemporary Nihon no teitaku, Four Seasons Hotel Tokyo at Marunouchi brings a new vision of luxury to the prestigious Marunouchi district. Polished Japanese aesthetics meet the warmth of home, creating a refuge both deeply soothing and subtly inspiring. Guided by Fu’s restraint, the interiors foster a natural cadence of living, unfolding through reflective pauses, cosy tête-à-têtes and restful sleep.

Emphasising texture and proportion, the redesign highlights luxury through exemplary detailing, from the precise hardwood joinery of custom furniture to the seamless flow that connects spaces. Cherished local traditions are distilled down to their essence, then articulated through a modern lens. The result feels timeless yet of the moment, unmistakeably Japanese yet distinctly cosmopolitan.

Residential Rhythms

Newly reopened accommodations evoke the ease of a modern residence, bridging cosy comfort and sleek elegance. Fu deconstructs the conventional hotel room layout to introduce thoughtful changes for a natural, unhurried flow between different areas – much like a well-appointed home. Enhanced in-room technology, including 65-inch televisions and portable speakers, further reinforces the residential atmosphere with seamless entertainment for both short and extended stays.

Transformed by fluid silhouettes, sliding panels and warm woods, each accommodation offers a calming retreat, enhanced by features that reflect the Hotel’s enduring commitment to Japanese craftsmanship. Colours play a defining role throughout the rooms, where a refined palette of teal greens and dusty pinks brings warmth, softness and emotional depth to the interiors. Cast-bronze lighting, artisan ceramics and custom furnishings further enrich the residential atmosphere, while delicate nuances such as cherry blossom inlays reveal themselves over time.

Thoughtful touches throughout the guest experience deepen the connection to place. In-room minibar cabinets feature handcrafted Japanese tea sets paired with premium local teas and traditional rice crackers, while seasonal Japanese fruit and wagashi welcome guests upon arrival. A refreshed 24-hour in-room dining menu offers Japanese, Western and comfort favourites suited to different travel rhythms, while select suites include dedicated amenity cooler boxes designed to preserve fresh welcome offerings for late-arriving guests.

Every stay feels exceptional with generous Four Seasons hospitality, led by a seasoned team that anticipates needs, crafts moments and personalises service in the true Japanese spirit of omotenashi, whether arranging ramen-making workshops, sumo outings, or curated bar-hopping experiences through Ginza and Shinjuku

101 Days of Summer: French Riviera Afternoon Tea at Four Seasons Hotel Guangzhou

Perched on the 100th floor of Four Seasons Hotel Guangzhou, Atrium presents the “101 Days of Summer” French Riviera Afternoon Tea, a classic French afternoon tea reimagined with a bright, modern summer twist. Drawing on traditional French techniques and the vibrant seasonal fruits of Lingnan, the experience unfolds as a series of elegant, sunlit moments.

There is something timeless about a French summer afternoon, golden light, a soft breeze, and long, lazy hours made for unhurried meals. This summer, that feeling arrives in Guangzhou.

The dessert collection captures the gentle, sun-kissed essence of the season. Each creation is rooted in French pâtisserie and built around summer fruits and refined craftsmanship. Mango Roll layers passion fruit, mango compote, mango cream, and a buttery feuilletine crust into one vibrant composition: tropical, textural, and unapologetically indulgent. Cucumber and Lemon offers a cooler, cleaner contrast, where cucumber jelly, lemon mousse, and a crisp shortcrust base come together in a dessert that feels as light as a summer breeze. Millefeuille with vanilla cream and caramelised puff pastry showcases the beauty of classic technique, while Paris‑Brest highlights the deep, nutty aroma of hazelnut praline. A delicate Strawberry Tartlet, with fresh berries and pastry cream on a dacquoise base, finishes the line‑up with a bright, refreshing flourish.

The savouries turn toward the coast, balancing richness with the fresh, aromatic spirit of the Mediterranean. Onion Soup captures the soulful warmth of the classic, with caramelised onions slow-cooked to sweetness, paired with a slice of baguette and melted Gruyère. Brandade de Morue Fritter brings the flavours of the French Riviera to the plate: salt cod whipped to a creamy purée, fried to a golden crisp, and served with a homemade salsa verde that cuts through with its bright, herbal tang.

Alongside the food, Atrium turns to local fruit for a collection of four summer drinks, including non‑alcoholic options. Bayberry Cosmopolitan gives the classic a Lingnan accent - smooth, fruit-forward, and unmistakably summery. Coconut Breeze is clean and sweet, with vodka, coconut water, green grape syrup, and a hint of cherry blossom. Wampee Virgin Mojito muddles Guangdong’s signature wampee with lime and mint over sparkling bubbles - tart, refreshing, and authentically local. Summer Lychee Fizz adds a floral, effervescent lift with homemade lychee-rose black tea syrup and soda.

And then, almost as an afterthought of pure joy, chilled ice cream makes its way through the venue, a sweet, unexpected pause in the afternoon that feels like a holiday moment all its own.

Elegant French bites, chilled drinks, and a skyline view come together in a quiet moment of escape. At Atrium, summer unfolds not in miles travelled, but in flavours savoured, one slow afternoon at a time.

CocoCart Brings Four Global Gourmet Icons to India, Expanding the Country’s Premium Chocolate, Café and Luxury Gifting Experience

After introducing Italian chocolate and gelato brand Venchi to India, CocoCart is now set to bring Neuhaus, Café Bateel and Le Pain Quotidien to Indian consumers through an elevated F&B boutiques portfolio
Mumbai,May 2026: CocoCart, India’s premium omnichannel destination for chocolates, gourmet gifting and global confectionery, is bringing four globally loved gourmet brands to India as part of its new premium F&B boutiques vertical. The portfolio includes Venchi from Italy, Neuhaus from Belgium, Café Bateel from UAE and Saudi Arabia, and Le Pain Quotidien from Belgium.

The announcement follows CocoCart’s recent India launch of Venchi, the iconic Italian chocolate and gelato brand founded in Turin in 1878. With this next phase, CocoCart is expanding its offering beyond premium chocolate retail into experience-led gourmet destinations across chocolate, artisanal gelato, luxury gifting, premium cafés and European-style bakery café formats.

CocoCart’s boutiques vertical has been planned around a ₹56.8 crore capex commitment, with a target of 18 stores across Mumbai and Delhi by the end of Year 1 and 32 stores across Mumbai, Delhi, Ahmedabad and Bengaluru by Year 3. The company is also investing ₹15 crore in a central commissary to support its café formats.

Speaking on the announcement, Karan Ahuja, Co-Founder, CocoCart, said, “At CocoCart, our vision has always been to bring the world’s most loved chocolate and gourmet experiences closer to Indian consumers. With Venchi, Neuhaus, Café Bateel and Le Pain Quotidien, we are creating a portfolio that speaks to how India now consumes premium F&B, not just as a product, but as an experience. Consumers today are looking for quality, provenance, discovery and moments that feel special, whether it is a chocolate gift, a gelato outing, a café meeting or an everyday indulgence.”

Venchi will bring its Italian chocolate and gelato experience to India through boutiques, kiosks and shop-in-shop formats. Known for its chocolate-making legacy since 1878, Venchi combines Italian craftsmanship, premium ingredients and a distinctive retail experience that appeals to consumers looking for indulgence with heritage.

Neuhaus, founded in Belgium in 1857, will add a luxury chocolate and gifting dimension to CocoCart’s India portfolio. The brand is expected to cater to India’s growing appetite for refined chocolate gifting, premium celebrations, corporate gifting and special occasion-led consumption.

Café Bateel will bring a premium gourmet café experience rooted in the Middle East’s date culture and luxury hospitality sensibility. Planned across flagship café and boutique formats, the brand will add a new layer to India’s premium café landscape.

Le Pain Quotidien, founded in Belgium in 1990, will introduce its European bakery and café format to Indian consumers through flagship café and kiosk formats. The brand is known globally for its warm café experience, artisanal food culture and community-led dining approach.

Karan added, “India’s premium F&B consumer is evolving very quickly. The same consumer who once discovered global gourmet brands while travelling is now looking for those experiences closer to home. Our goal is to create destinations that feel aspirational yet accessible, where premium chocolate, gelato, cafés and gifting come together in a way that is relevant to the Indian market.”

The move comes at a time when India’s premium chocolate, café, frozen dessert and gifting categories are seeing strong growth. CocoCart’s boutiques vertical addresses a combined Indian premium F&B and gifting opportunity estimated at ₹25,000 to ₹35,000 crore. Within this, the premium chocolate market is estimated at ₹10,000 to ₹12,500 crore, the premium café and coffee retail chain market at approximately ₹5,100 crore, the premium gelato and artisanal frozen desserts market at ₹2,500 to ₹3,500 crore, and the corporate and luxury gifting market at ₹14,000 to ₹15,000 crore.

For the F&B and hospitality industry, CocoCart’s expansion signals a larger shift in how premium dining, gifting and gourmet retail are converging in India. Consumers are no longer looking at chocolate, desserts or cafés as standalone categories. Increasingly, they are seeking destination-led experiences that combine product quality, ambience, gifting, discovery and global storytelling.

CocoCart’s boutiques portfolio will begin with Mumbai and Delhi, followed by Ahmedabad and Bengaluru. The company is also developing India-exclusive launches for key gifting occasions, including Raksha Bandhan 2026 and Diwali 2026, across select brands in the portfolio.

Sustainability is another key part of the portfolio. Venchi works with Rainforest Alliance certified cocoa and global renewable electricity commitments. Neuhaus uses 100% sustainably sourced cocoa and is moving toward full traceability. Café Bateel is known for its fully integrated organic date production, while Le Pain Quotidien follows global sustainability-linked sourcing and food standards.

With Venchi, Neuhaus, Café Bateel and Le Pain Quotidien, CocoCart is looking to create a new premium F&B experience for India, one that brings together chocolate, gelato, cafés, gifting and global hospitality under one Indian retail platform.

No Shop Talk Opens in Bengaluru, A Space Built for Your After-Hours Self

Bengaluru, May 2026: In the middle of Bellandur’s fast-paced corporate chaos, a new bar is asking Bengaluru to do one simple thing: switch off. Newly launched No Shop Talk is the city’s latest cocktail-forward destination designed for life after office hours - where conversations flow easier, drinks come with personality, and nobody wants to discuss deadlines over dinner. Located above Gnome at Embassy Tech Square, the intimate new space blends inventive cocktails, elevated comfort food, immersive design, and a mood that feels worlds away from the usual after-work scene.

Founded by hospitality entrepreneurs Nikhil Wahi, Kapil Dua, and Raja Mukherjee, No Shop Talk is built around the idea of the “after-hours self” - the version of people that exists beyond meetings, laptops, and work chats. The bar programme, created by Countertop and led by mixologists Kiran Kuberan and Vardhan, revolves around a concept called Life & Afterlife, where ingredients are explored in both their original and transformed forms. Signature cocktails like Grape & Pomace, Coffee & Cascara, Coconut Water & Coconut Oil, and Cheese & Ricotta deliver layered, unexpected flavours that are playful, bold, and crafted with serious precision.

The food menu matches that same energy with globally inspired comfort plates designed for sharing. Standouts include the indulgent Truffle Burrata Tart, flavour-packed Goan Cutlet Sliders, the rich Kimchi Smash Burger, and the crowd-favourite Aslam Style Butter Chicken. Wrapped in textured glass, blue accents, tactile surfaces, and moody lighting, the space feels intimate, slightly eccentric, and refreshingly different from the city’s louder nightlife spots.

Speaking about the launch, co-founder Nikhil Wahi shares, “We wanted to create a space where people could leave work at the door and reconnect with a different side of themselves. No Shop Talk isn’t just about cocktails or food - it’s about slowing down, staying present, and enjoying the moment without the noise of everyday work life.”

With its immersive atmosphere, concept-driven cocktails, and quietly rebellious personality, No Shop Talk arrives as Bengaluru’s newest excuse to log out a little earlier.

CYK Hospitalities Leads Strategic Growth for Emerging F&B Brands Across India

Gurugram, May 2026 :CYK Hospitalities, India’s leading food and beverage consultancy firm, has facilitated a series of strategic brand expansion and leasing mandates across multiple markets during the last quarter. The projects include formats such as kiosk, quick service restaurant, bakehouse, and standalone stores, all representing activity within the organized food and beverage industry in India.

The consultancy recently worked on expansion and leasing mandates for brands like Boba Bhai, Dohful, Freddo Bakehouse, Harley’s Bakery, Ka Ching, Chai Garam, and Waffle World across a mix of kiosks, QSRs, bakery stores, and specialised dining formats. A significant share of these strategic brand placements was concentrated across prominent retail destinations including Worldmark Gurgaon, Global Foyer, DLF Midtown Plaza, and Airia Mall, among other high-footfall commercial hubs and premium high street markets. The brand development initiatives did not remain confined to the region only, which showed the increasing need for organised F&B ventures in other urban areas in the country as well.

According to CYK Hospitalities’ market analysis based on recent leasing assignments, brands have started focusing on audience fit, operational efficiencies, and scalability while deciding a location. The trend marks a departure from traditional conventional market-entry approaches, with operators placing greater emphasis on catchment quality and consumer behaviour before entering a market.

“As organised F&B brands mature, market-specific growth plans are becoming less about securing space and more about securing the right market opportunity. The focus has shifted towards creating long-term value rather than pursuing visibility-driven growth,” said Simranjeet Singh, Director, CYK Hospitalities.

Pulkit Arora, Director & Culinary Expert, CYK Hospitalities, added, “Consumer expectations differ across locations, and successful expansion depends on how effectively a concept aligns with the ecosystem around it. The emphasis today is on building formats that can sustain themselves within a market rather than simply increasing store count.”

The trend is expected to continue as organised F&B brands expand into both mature metropolitan markets and emerging consumption centres, making strategic leasing and market-specific positioning increasingly important components of long-term growth planning.

Air India Maharaja Club Members Can Now Earn and Redeem Maharaja Points on Air India Express Flights

GURUGRAM, May 2026: 2026: Air India today announced a significant expansion of its Maharaja Club loyalty programme, enabling members to earn and redeem Maharaja Points on flights operated by Air India Express to over 55 destinations across South, Southeast and West Asia, in addition to Air India services.

This much-awaited enhancement reflects Air India Group’s continued focus on making Maharaja Points more relevant for frequent flyers, enabling members to unlock greater value on their journeys across both Air India and Air India Express’ expansive network.

Maharaja Club members can immediately begin earning Maharaja Points and Tier Points on Air India Express-operated flights when booking across multiple channels, including the Air India and Air India Express websites and mobile apps and through major travel agents.

Maharaja Club members will also have their Air India Express flights contribute to their tier progression, with eligible flights counting toward both minimum flight requirements and Tier Points accumulation, enabling members to accelerate reaching higher tiers of the programme.

Nipun Aggarwal, Chief Commercial Officer, Air India, and Chairman, Air India Express, said: “Our focus is on continually expanding Maharaja Club in a way that ensures our loyal customers’ travel experiences across destinations contribute meaningfully to their relationship with the Air India group. The growing scale of the Air India Express network makes the introduction of accruals and redemptions on these flights both timely and important, addressing a long-standing expectation of our frequent flyers. It also reflects our aim to build Maharaja Points into a valuable currency over time.”

Maharaja Club members can accrue Maharaja Points on all Air India Express flights by entering their Maharaja Club ID at the time of booking. Maharaja Points for Air India Express flights cannot be claimed retrospectively in the current phase of the rollout.

Members can add their Maharaja Club ID during booking on Air India and Air India Express platforms, as well as select online travel partners. The addition or modification of Maharaja Club membership ID is not available at airport counters or contact centres in the current phase.

The Maharaja Points accrual framework applies to a wide range of bookings, including special fares for senior citizens, students, and armed forces personnel. Reward Points will be calculated on base fare and fuel surcharge, with accrual rates aligned to Air India to ensure a consistent and easy-to-understand earning structure.

For bookings made via the Air India Express website and mobile app, Red members will earn 8 Maharaja Points per INR 100 spent, Silver members will earn 10 points, Gold members 11 points, and Platinum members 12 points.

For bookings made through other channels including Traditional and Online Travel Agents (OTAs), Red members will earn 6 Maharaja Points per INR 100 spent, Silver members will earn 8 points, Gold members 9 points, and Platinum members 10 points.

Redemptions of Maharaja Points for Award Flights on Air India Express are currently available to members booking codeshare flights bearing Air India’s ‘AI’ designator code but which are operated by Air India Express, via the Air India website and mobile app.

For instance, a Maharaja Club member wants to fly from Delhi to Guwahati and searches for flight options on the Air India website or mobile app. On the flight selection page, they would find multiple flight options on the sector bearing ‘AI’ flight numbers, but a few of them may be operated by Air India Express under the codeshare agreement between the two carriers. The member can simply redeem their Maharaja Points for those flights in addition to the other flights operated by Air India.

Redemptions for Air India Express Award Flights start from 1,500 Maharaja Points, as illustrated in the following sample redemption pricing table: Bengaluru-Chennai – 1,500 points; Dimapur-Guwahati – 1,500 points; Bengaluru-Kozhikode – 2,000 points; Bengaluru-Goa – 2,500 points; Mumbai-Goa – 2,500 points; Bengaluru-Mumbai – 4,000 points; Ahmedabad-Kolkata – 4,500 points; Delhi-Bengaluru – 7,000 points; Amritsar-Dubai – 12,000 points; Mumbai-Abu Dhabi – 12,000 points; Kochi-Bahrain – 12,000 points; and Bengaluru-Bangkok – 12,000 points.

In the later phases of the integration, Maharaja Club members flying Air India Express will be extended a host of benefits such as priority check-in, priority boarding, Fly Prior, seat selection, and flexibility through cancellation and rescheduling fee waivers on eligible flights and services.

Malaysia Aviation Group Cuts Over 103,000 Tonnes of CO₂ Emissions Through Operational Efficiency and Fleet Modernisation

KLIA,, May 2026 –Malaysia Aviation Group (MAG) today released its 2025 Sustainability Report, highlighting the Group’s continued progress in advancing environmental, social, and governance (ESG) priorities through operational efficiency, fleet modernisation, workforce inclusivity, and strengthened governance practices as part of its long-term sustainability journey.

The report outlines significant milestones achieved across the Group throughout the year, including a reduction of 103,424 tonnes of carbon dioxide (CO₂) emissions through fuel efficiency initiatives, resulting in total fuel savings of 30,036 tonnes across its operations.

MAG is also further advancing its fleet modernisation programme with the induction of additional next-generation aircraft, including the A330neo and Boeing 737-8. These investments support improved fuel performance, lower emissions intensity, and an enhanced passenger experience. At the same time, MAG further enhanced the environmental performance of its fleet, with the proportion of aircraft compliant with the International Civil Aviation Organization’s (ICAO) Chapter 14 noise standards — the most stringent international aircraft noise certification standard designed to reduce noise impact on communities surrounding airports — increasing from 8.6% in 2023 to 15.6% in 2025.

As part of its decarbonisation efforts, MAG completed its first pilot Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) uplift on the Kuala Lumpur–London route in partnership with PETRONAS. In line with evolving international regulatory requirements, the Group also uplifted 2% SAF for flights departing from the United Kingdom and Europe.

Philip See, Group Chief Sustainability Officer from MAG, said, “Sustainability remains a key enabler of our Long-Term Business Plan 3.0 (LTBP3.0), supporting our ambition to build a more resilient and future-ready aviation Group while progressing towards our long-term decarbonisation ambitions. Over the past year, we made meaningful progress through improved operational efficiencies, closer industry collaboration, and ongoing investments in innovation, governance, and people development. As the industry transitions towards a lower-carbon future, our focus remains on delivering practical and measurable outcomes that support responsible growth and create long-term value for our stakeholders and the nation.”

Beyond environmental initiatives, MAG further strengthened workforce diversity and talent development initiatives, particularly across technical and operational functions. Of the Group’s over 1,000 new hires in 2025, 51% were women, while 67% comprised young talent. MAG also expanded outreach programmes encouraging greater female participation in aviation and engineering careers, reaching close to 500 students nationwide. Its “Join the Women Who Power Every Takeoff” campaign further reinforced efforts to increase female representation across technical aviation roles, including pilots, Licensed Aircraft Engineers and technicians.

Throughout the year, MAG also continued deepening ecosystem partnerships and sustainability capability-building initiatives, including collaborations supporting SAF development, operational innovation, digitalisation, and employee-led sustainability programmes.
