The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection Introduces Its Summer 2028 Mediterranean & Northern Europe Season

The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection announced its Summer 2028 European itineraries, featuring 52 voyages aboard Evrima and Ilma across the Mediterranean and Northern Europe. Sailing from late April through October 2028, the season takes guests from the lively coastlines of the Mediterranean to the dramatic fjords and rugged landscapes of Northern Europe, revealing the unique character of each region through thoughtfully paced journeys at sea, balancing unhurried days on board with immersive exploration ashore.

From the colorful fishing villages of the Italian Riviera and the whitewashed islands of the Aegean to Norway's majestic fjords and Iceland's volcanic scenery, the Summer 2028 voyages showcase the breadth of Europe's coastal regions. Two new ports of call, Gijón, Spain and Portovenere, Italy, expand the season’s offerings, alongside greater exploration of the Greek Isles and the Adriatic aboard Ilma. Voyages range from four to nine nights, including roundtrip departures from Rome, Monte Carlo, Athens, Venice, and Reykjavík.

While the Mediterranean unfolds through island villages, centuries-old ports, and vibrant culinary traditions, Northern Europe delivers a striking contrast. Aboard Evrima, itineraries sail through Norway's UNESCO-listed fjords, the medieval capitals of the Baltics, and Iceland's volcanic terrain, where scenic sail-ins and extraordinary natural beauty become as memorable as the destinations themselves. Together, the season presents two distinct perspectives on Europe, each shaped by the landscapes and cultures that bring it to life.

“The destinations our guests remember most are often the ones where they form the strongest connections, with the places they visit, the people they meet, and the moments they experience along the way,” said Ernesto Fara, President & Chief Executive Officer of The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection. “Our Summer 2028 season reflects that belief, bringing together itineraries that encourage guests to spend more time engaging with each place in a way that feels personal and authentic. We believe those connections are what transform a voyage into an experience that stays with them long after they return home.”

The journey continues ashore through Pre-Designed Private Excursions, Select Group Excursions, and Custom Private Excursions, tailored to individual interests and inviting a deeper exploration of each destination. In the Mediterranean, guests can sail along the Portofino coastline to the secluded bay of San Fruttuoso, harvest oysters from the seabed at a family-owned farm in Mali Ston Bay, take in Mallorca from above by helicopter before a guided winery tasting, or explore the volcanic terrain of Milos by Jeep. Northern Europe provides opportunities to soar over Iceland's waterfalls, lava fields, and glaciers by helicopter with a remote landing or discover the artistry of French caviar through a private tasting paired with Champagne at an eco-friendly estate in Bordeaux. Each experience creates a more intimate perspective on its destination, connecting guests with the landscapes, craftsmanship, and local expertise that define it.

Highlights on Evrima include:

July 12, 2028 | 9-Night London to Copenhagen

Summer days stretch along Norway's coastline, where colorful harbors, mountain-framed fjords, and waterside villages shape the journey from Haugesund to Geiranger. Highlights on Ilma include:

May 9, 2028 | 7-Night Athens Round Trip

Days unfold among some of the Aegean's most storied islands, from the whitewashed lanes of Mykonos to the dramatic views of Santorini's caldera. July 27, 2028 | 7-Night Rome Round Trip

Leaving Rome behind, you'll find yourself among Valletta's honey-colored historic streets and sunlit squares, where café terraces spill into lively squares. In Taormina, Mount Etna remains in view beyond the rooftops, while Amalfi's steep lanes, lemon groves, and sweeping coastal views invite a slower look. Living the dream: Inside the delivery of Air India's latest line-fit Boeing 787-9, VT-AWD

When Air India's newest Boeing 787-9, VT-AWD, arrived in Delhi, it marked another milestone in the airline's transformation journey. For passengers, it represents a new generation of flying experience. For the teams that designed, customised, inspected and accepted the aircraft, it represents years of effort aimed at delivering an aircraft that reflects Air India's ambitions for customer experience, quality and safety.

Few people understand that journey better than Yuvraj Puri, Chief Manager - Technical Services (Engineering), who led Air India's acceptance of VT-AWD from Boeing in Everett, Washington.

Standing before the aircraft, Puri found himself reflecting on how quickly Air India's transformation is taking shape.

"What was there on paper is now there in front of us. Those changes are in front of me and very soon our passengers will be experiencing this new product," he says.

With more than 20 years in aviation and nearly a decade within the Tata aviation ecosystem, Puri has been closely involved in Air India's fleet renewal journey. Even so, seeing the airline's fourth line-fit Boeing 787-9 arrive within a matter of months of the previous delivery was a moment that stood out.

"I was really amazed and really happy about the pace at which we are getting aircraft. It's already four aircraft and it is just half a year," he says. "This marks a very significant bookmark in Air India's journey of transformation."

PATTAYA, Thailand (Sept. , 2026) – Meliá Pattaya Hotel has opened a new boutique to showcase the wares of talented Thai designers, artists and craftspeople in support of artistic development for children and youth.

Organized as a social enterprise, The GALLERY connects local artisans with a wider audience through a thoughtful collection of Thai-made gifts, handicrafts, home décor, wellness products and souvenirs.

All profits from The GALLERY boutique at the hotel are reinvested to support artistic development for children and youth by helping to create opportunities for a new generation to foster Thai creativity and preserve local craftsmanship.

“We’d like our guests to have an opportunity to discover meaningful products carrying stories that celebrate Thailand’s communities and their fascinating traditions and creativity,” said Meliá Pattaya Hotel’s general manager Alexander Lopez.

Among The GALLERY’s diverse offerings are products by DAWOOD Voyage Travel Souvenirs, whose craftspeople create intricate tuk-tuk souvenirs from sustainable wood that evoke one of Thailand’s most recognisable modes of transport.

The collection also encompasses wellness and aromatic products from Mesook Farm (Agarwood Farmer Group), including jasmine and lemongrass-scented massage body oils and aroma wood, along with ceramics, decorative pieces and other locally crafted gifts.

Also represented is Maison Craft in Thailand, which experiments with weaving materials and techniques as part of efforts to keep distinctive folk crafts and traditional skills relevant for generations to come.

“It is rewarding for our team to provide a platform for Thai artisans and contribute to opportunities for children and young people to develop their artistic potential and continue craftsmanship handed down the generations,” said Lopez. “Together, the products illustrate The GALLERY’s focus on items with purpose and provenance, giving hotel guests the opportunity to take home a tangible connection to Thailand and support the people and skills behind each piece.”

Based on the mission of “Building a Better Future”, The GALLERY was established by Asset World Corp Public Company Limited (AWC), the owner of Meliá Pattaya Hotel, to promote Thai artisans’ work and foster positive social impact. The Italian Aperitivo Arrives at Four Seasons Hotel Mumbai

Mumbai, September 2026: This September, Four Seasons Hotel Mumbai brings the Italian tradition of aperitivo to the city with Aperitivo Week from 15 to 22 September 2026. This experience at Opus and AER is created for the guests looking to ease into the evenings over cocktails and sharing plates, whether before dinner or as an occasion that carries on later into the night.

Five cocktails set the tone for the week, each offering a different interpretation of the drink. La Spiaggia, Terra Rossa, Il Tramonto, Negroni Sbagliato and Cardinale move from the roasted depth of cold brew coffee and the zest of grapefruit to juicy peach, delicate floral notes and the botanical character of gin. Served in distinctive glassware and finished with details that complement each drink, the menu brings fresh interpretation of the classic aperitivo ritual.

"Every drink on this menu has been built with intention," says Sher Thakur Singh, Director of Beverage, Four Seasons Hotel Mumbai. "“At the Aperitivo Week at Four Seasons Hotel Mumbai, you will find familiar aperitivo ingredients alongside less expected touches, with differences in glassware, method and garnish allowing each drink to express its own character. It is this attention to detail that makes the experience feel elevated, while still retaining the easy, generous spirit of aperitivo.”

Aperitivo Week is the latest expression of Four Seasons Hotel Mumbai’s approach to creating distinctive experiences for its guests. From the food and drinks to the setting and service, every detail brings the expertise of the hotel’s culinary and beverage teams to an Italian ritual, reimagined for Mumbai.

"We have noticed guests increasingly want an occasion that sits between a quick drink and a full dinner, and aperitivo offers the perfect way to embrace that moment," says Nitesh Gandhi, General Manager, Four Seasons Hotel Mumbai. "It gives Opus and AER a new rhythm through the evening, a reason for guests to walk in earlier, stay longer and treat the hotel as part of their everyday plans rather than an occasional destination."

Across Opus and AER, Aperitivo Week offers guests the opportunity to discover this Italian ritual through the lens of Four Seasons Hotel Mumbai, where thoughtful cocktails, food, setting and service come together to create an evening that does not need to be rushed, or even have a defined end.

The hotel's four room collections draw on Scandinavian, English Classic and European Neoclassical design, with high ceilings, skylights, private terraces and heated plunge pools.

École Ducasse answers the growing demand for plant-forward gastronomy with three new professional programmes

New intensive courses in Naturalité cuisine and plant-based pastry respond to the evolving expectations of chefs, restaurants and consumers worldwide.

India, September 2026 – As gastronomy continues to evolve towards more plant-forward, responsible and ingredient-led approaches, École Ducasse is expanding its professional training portfolio with three new intensive programmes launching in spring 2027.

Designed for culinary professionals, entrepreneurs and career changers, the new programmes reflect some of the strongest transformations currently reshaping the industry:

  • Essentials of Naturalité, delivered in English at École Ducasse Paris Campus from 9 April 2027

  • Vegan Pastry Essentials, delivered in English at École Nationale Supérieure de Pâtisserie (ENSP) from 19 April 2027

  • Les Essentiels de la Pâtisserie Végane, delivered in French at ENSP from 18 May 2027

Together, these programmes reinforce École Ducasse's commitment to equipping culinary professionals with the technical expertise and creative mindset required to respond to the evolution of contemporary gastronomy, from plant-forward and responsible cuisine to vegan pastry.

Responding to a profound transformation of gastronomy

Consumer expectations are changing rapidly.

Across restaurants, hotels and fine dining establishments, chefs are increasingly expected to create menus that celebrate vegetables, reduce food waste, showcase seasonality and develop more balanced culinary experiences without compromising flavour or creativity.

At the same time, plant-based pastry is moving beyond niche markets to become an increasingly important area of expertise for professionals seeking to respond to new dietary expectations while maintaining the highest technical standards.

Rather than viewing these developments as passing trends, École Ducasse considers them part of a broader evolution of culinary excellence—one that remains deeply rooted in technique while embracing innovation.

Naturalité: Alain Ducasse's philosophy translated into professional training

The new Essentials of Naturalité programme at Paris Campus offers a four-week immersive experience dedicated to Alain Ducasse's culinary philosophy.

Participants explore a plant-forward approach centred on seasonality, product respect and flavour optimisation, while developing a broad professional technical repertoire around vegetables, legumes, cereals, seeds and fermentation. Animal products are approached thoughtfully and used only where they genuinely enhance the final dish. Research & Development is integrated throughout the programme, culminating in the creation and execution of a complete plant-forward gastronomic menu in a brigade setting.

"Naturalité is not about removing ingredients; it is about changing the way we think about them. These new programmes prepare chefs to place the product, seasonality and creativity at the centre of their culinary approach, giving vegetables, cereals and legumes a leading role while using animal products with greater intention and restraint." - Karine Hyon Vintrou, Managing Director, École Ducasse

Plant-based pastry: mastering technique without compromise

At ENSP, the world's largest campus entirely dedicated to sweet arts, École Ducasse is introducing two versions of its new four-week vegan Pastry Essentials programme (one in English and one in French) to answer growing international demand.

The curriculum covers every major family of pastry, including tarts, entremets, viennoiserie, chocolate, confectionery and plated desserts, enabling participants to master plant-based substitutions while fully understanding the technological behaviour of alternative ingredients. Beyond recipes, participants develop the ability to design coherent professional pastry offerings that meet evolving market expectations without compromising taste, texture or aesthetics.

"Plant-based pastry requires exactly the same level of precision as traditional pastry, sometimes even more. Understanding the functional properties of ingredients, mastering substitutions and preserving balance are now becoming essential skills for pastry professionals worldwide." - Luc Debove, Director of École Nationale Supérieure de Pâtisserie and Meilleur Ouvrier de France

Building on a long-standing approach to plant-based gastronomy

These new programmes do not mark École Ducasse's first step into plant-based cuisine and pastry. Rather, they build on an approach already embedded across École Ducasse’s educational offer. Plant-based cuisine and pastry are explored within existing Essentials programmes, including Naturalité: The Essentials in Culinary Arts Essentials and vegan pastry within French Pastry Arts Essentials, as well as through professional short courses such as Cuisine végétale, L’ADN de la Naturalité and Nadia Sammut’s Cuisiner le vivant.

The launch of Essentials of Naturalité and Vegan Pastry Essentials therefore marks a natural extension of this commitment, offering dedicated four-week programmes that allow participants to deepen their technical and creative mastery of plant-based gastronomy. They reflect École Ducasse’s broader ambition not simply to respond to changes in culinary and pastry arts, but to equip professionals with the skills to shape their evolution.

From Building Resorts to Building Reasons to Travel: Vikram Lalvani Honoured for Industry Achievement in Indian Hospitality by HURUN

Sterling Holiday Resorts MD & CEO recognised at the India Real Estate Leadership Conclave & Excellence Awards 2026, co-hosted by Hurun India and GROHE

Chennai,   September 2026: Vikram Dayal Lalvani, Managing Director & CEO, Sterling Holiday Resorts Limited, has been honoured with the ‘Industry Achievement Award in Indian Hospitality’ at the India Real Estate Leadership Conclave & Excellence Awards 2026, held at ITC Grand Central, Mumbai.

Co-hosted by Hurun India and GROHE, the 10th-anniversary edition brought together leaders from India’s real estate and hospitality sectors, recognising individuals and organisations for their professional achievements and contribution to their industries.

The recognition comes at a defining point in Sterling’s evolution under Lalvani’s leadership.

From a company historically associated primarily with vacation ownership, Sterling has evolved into a diversified hospitality platform spanning resorts, hotels and retreats, with leisure at its core. Its portfolio today serves a much broader spectrum of travel occasions—from family holidays and wildlife experiences to spiritual journeys, wellness, celebrations, MICE and drive-to escapes.

This transformation has combined portfolio expansion with an asset-right growth strategy, stronger operating systems, technology, experience design and a culture focused on both performance and people.

Today, Sterling has grown to 80 resorts across more than 66 destinations extending its presence across established leisure markets while increasingly entering emerging destinations earlier in their tourism journey.

At the heart of this evolution is a belief that hospitality growth cannot be measured by footprint alone.

“Hospitality leadership is not measured only by how many rooms you add, but by how many reasons you create for people to travel.”

For Sterling, that has meant looking beyond the resort to the destination itself—its landscape, culture, cuisine, wildlife, spirituality, heritage and communities—and creating experiences that help travellers discover it more deeply.

This philosophy has shaped what Sterling increasingly describes as its role as a ‘Destination Architect’: identifying destinations with potential, establishing credible hospitality infrastructure and building experiences and travel circuits around them.

Sterling’s expansion into emerging leisure, spiritual, wildlife and drive-to markets reflects this approach—entering destinations not merely because demand already exists, but because the company believes the right hospitality and experiences can help unlock it.

Lalvani has also consistently argued that scale should not result in sameness.

As Sterling expands, the company is strengthening common standards across service, technology, training and operating discipline while ensuring that the guest experience remains rooted in the character of each destination.

The principle is simple: Standardise what creates trust. Localise what creates memory.

Commenting on the recognition, Vikram Dayal Lalvani, Managing Director & CEO, Sterling Holiday Resorts, said:

“An industry achievement award inevitably makes you look back, but I find myself looking forward. Indian hospitality is entering one of its most exciting periods—more Indians are travelling, their reasons for travelling are multiplying, and destinations once outside the mainstream are entering consideration.

At Sterling, our journey has been about more than expanding a network. We have tried to build relevance—entering destinations with potential, connecting them into meaningful journeys and creating experiences that encourage people to discover more of India.

This recognition belongs equally to our teams, partners and owners who have been part of that journey. The opportunity ahead is much larger than any one company: to build hospitality that creates value for travellers, destinations, communities, partners and the industry.”

The award recognises Lalvani at a point when Sterling’s next chapter is increasingly being defined by the ability to combine scale with distinctiveness, growth with discipline and technology with humanity.

Because the next chapter of Indian hospitality will not be written only by where hotels open, but by where travellers choose to go next—and why.

Seoul Has Landed on Hill Road: K-Bites Brings Korean Street Food to Bandra

Bandra is getting a new reason to crave Korean food. K-Bites, a new-age Korean street-food QSR by Ambros World Foods, has opened its first Mumbai outlet on Hill Road, Bandra, bringing the bold, comforting and playful flavours of Seoul to the city in a format designed for the way Mumbai eats today. Think freshly made Korean food, quick bites, casual meals and grab-and-go favourites, all brought together in a vibrant space that captures the energy of Korean street markets. With its focus on making Korean food more accessible, affordable and everyday, K-Bites is looking to take the cuisine beyond premium dining and into the heart of Mumbai’s neighbourhood food culture.

The menu is where the experience really comes alive, with bold Korean-inspired flavours, fresh ingredients and made-to-order dishes taking centre stage. From a comforting bowl of Miso Ramen and punchy Khimchi Noodles to Bao, K House Special Rice and Bibimbap, the menu brings together familiar Korean favourites with flavours that are approachable for the Indian palate. The idea is simple food that is flavour-packed, satisfying and easy to come back to, whether it is a quick lunch, an after-college bite or a casual evening with friends. With an average price point of ₹450–₹500 per person, K-Bites is deliberately positioned as an everyday Korean food destination, rather than an occasional premium experience.

And then there is the space. Designed to feel less like a conventional restaurant and more like a slice of Seoul tucked into Bandra, the interiors draw from the colour, warmth and energy of Korean street culture. Korean lettering, vibrant graphics, lanterns, warm lighting, an open kitchen and an open counter come together to create a lively, youthful setting, while outdoor seating adds to the neighbourhood hangout feel. The brand’s playful personality continues onto the table and beyond, with colourful takeaway boxes, Fryo Towers and specially designed Corn Dog boxes carrying cheeky messages such as “Seoul in Mumbai” and “Korea in Mumbai.” Every detail has been designed to be as much a part of the experience as the food itself and, naturally, made for the camera.

For Miten Shah and Abhilash Menon, Co-Founders of Ambros World Foods, K-Bites is the beginning of a much bigger journey. Bandra marks the brand’s flagship starting point, with upcoming outlets in Chembur, Bengaluru and Visakhapatnam as it sets out to build a strong multi-city presence. The ambition is to make K-Bites one of India’s most recognisable Korean food brands—one that brings the flavours and culture of Seoul to a wider Indian audience without making the experience intimidating or inaccessible. In a city where Korean food is quickly moving from niche to mainstream, K-Bites is betting that the next big Korean food obsession could be as easy as grabbing a bowl, finding a seat and getting a little taste of Seoul right in Bandra.

Wellness is the New Pre-Festive Ritual at Fairmont Spa & Longevity

Preparing the body and mind for the season of celebrations through a considered reset rooted in restoration, recovery and vitality

Mumbai, September 2026 — As the festive season approaches, the traditional ritual of getting ready for celebrations is evolving. Beyond wardrobes, beauty appointments and social calendars, wellness is emerging as an essential part of the pre-festive preparation, with people increasingly looking to reset, recharge and restore before stepping into a season of back-to-back celebrations.

At Fairmont Spa & Longevity at Fairmont Mumbai, this shift towards pre-festive wellness comes to life through a dual experience that brings together the restorative rituals of the Fairmont Spa and the science-led approach of Blu Xone — India’s first luxury-integrated longevity hub. Designed for the modern wellness seeker, the destination offers a considered pause before the festive rush, bringing together ancient healing traditions, personalised care and advanced non-invasive therapies.

The Fairmont Spa is rooted in Indian, Eastern and global healing traditions, offering sensorial experiences designed to nurture different stages of life. From the Tranquility Suite, created for immersive rituals, botanical elixirs and grounding therapies, to the Express Recovery Suite, designed for focused and time-efficient treatments, the spa offers experiences that allow guests to pause, recalibrate and return to themselves.

At the other end of the wellness spectrum, Blu Xone brings precision wellness into the pre-festive ritual. Inspired by the principles of the world’s Blue Zones, the space combines contemporary longevity science with non-invasive therapies focused on health-span, recovery and cellular wellbeing. Guided by medical wellness practitioners, each journey is tailored to an individual’s physiological blueprint, creating a personalised approach to wellness rather than a standardised treatment experience.

For those looking to prepare their bodies for the physical demands of the season, Blu Xone offers a suite of advanced therapies including Cryotherapy, Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy, Red-Light Therapy, Intermittent Vacuum Therapy (IVT), and Intermittent Hypoxic Therapy (IHT). Together, these experiences are designed to support circulation, recovery, rejuvenation and overall vitality, creating an opportunity to address fatigue and restore the body before the festive calendar begins.

The pre-festive reset is not simply about recovery; it is about approaching celebration with greater intention. Whether it is a restorative spa ritual before a packed social calendar, a focused recovery treatment after travel, or a more personalised longevity experience, Fairmont Spa & Longevity offers a spectrum of wellness experiences that can be integrated into the modern festive routine.

With its combination of ritual, recovery and precision wellness, Fairmont Spa & Longevity reframes the idea of festive preparation. In a season traditionally centred around looking the part, the new pre-festive ritual is about feeling the part too — rested, restored and ready to embrace the celebrations ahead.

As Mumbai prepares for another season of festivities, Fairmont Spa & Longevity at Fairmont Mumbai offers a refined destination for that essential pause before the rush — where wellness becomes not an afterthought, but the first step towards celebrating at one’s best.

Marriott International and Someraroad Unveil Plans for The Ritz-Carlton Residences, Brooklyn Heights, Marking the Brand’s Brooklyn Debut and Transformation of a Storied Landmark

Marriott International, Inc. and SomeraRoad, a New York- and Nashville-based opportunistic real estate investment and development firm, today unveiled The Ritz-Carlton Residences, Brooklyn Heights, an exclusive collection of luxury residences that will introduce the legendary service and hospitality of The Ritz-Carlton to Brooklyn.

Long regarded as one of New York City’s most sought-after residential neighborhoods, Brooklyn Heights is known for its landmark 19th century architecture, tree-lined streets, and sweeping views of the Manhattan skyline. In the heart of the neighborhood, at 98 Montague Street, sits The Ritz-Carlton Residences, Brooklyn Heights, occupying the former 14-story Renaissance Revival Hotel Bossert, a celebrated landmark in the heart of the neighborhood.

“The Hotel Bossert has long stood as one of Brooklyn's most iconic buildings, and we are honored to help write its next chapter,” said Ian Ross, Founder and Managing Principal of SomeraRoad. “Working alongside an extraordinary team of architects, designers, preservation experts, and the team at Marriott International, we are thoughtfully restoring this historic property while creating a residential experience that honors the Bossert's rich legacy and celebrates the enduring appeal of Brooklyn Heights. We believe this project will become Brooklyn's premier residential address and stand among the finest new residential offerings in New York City.”

“The Ritz-Carlton Residences, Brooklyn Heights is poised to further strengthen the leadership and legacy of The Ritz-Carlton Residences, and we are proud to work with SomeraRoad to thoughtfully transform this acclaimed landmark and welcome a new generation of residents,” said Dana Jacobsohn, Marriott International Chief Development Officer Global Mixed-Use and Luxury, U.S. & Canada. “A fitting match for a brand renowned for timeless elegance, Brooklyn Heights is defined by its unique blend of historic charm and contemporary culture, and it is the perfect destination to mark the 50th standalone residence in the brand’s global development portfolio.”

Designed by acclaimed New York architecture firm Helmle & Huberty, the hotel originally opened in 1909 and quickly became a treasured destination for the neighborhood, welcoming celebrities, business leaders, and championship athletes and famously hosting the Brooklyn Dodgers' 1955 World Series celebration. SomeraRoad acquired the property in 2025 and assembled a world-class team of architects, designers, preservation specialists, and hospitality collaborators to thoughtfully revitalize and reimagine the landmark while honoring its enduring legacy. The building’s distinctive Renaissance Revival architecture is defined by its original geometric pattern brick façade, sculpted granite and limestone base, ornate terra-cotta cornice and window details, arched double-height windows, intricate cast-iron railings, and signature lion's head keystones. These defining architectural elements of the building will be meticulously restored, preserving the building's historic character while preparing it for its next chapter.

The Ritz-Carlton Residences, Brooklyn Heights will combine the privacy and ownership of a luxury residence with the legendary hospitality, amenities, and global recognition of The Ritz-Carlton. Residents will enjoy a highly curated lifestyle experience defined by personalized service, elevated hospitality, and exclusive access to benefits across Marriott’s portfolio through the company’s Residence Owner Recognition Program, ONVIA. Complementing the residences will be an exceptional collection of amenities designed for wellness, leisure, and entertaining, alongside bespoke offerings including a 24-hour-attended lobby and dedicated residential services delivered to the exacting standards of The Ritz-Carlton.

Anchoring the property’s vibrant street presence, Union Square Hospitality Group (USHG), founded by Danny Meyer, will debut its first full-service Brooklyn restaurant on the building's ground floor. Designed to become a destination for both residents and the surrounding community, the restaurant will bring USHG’s celebrated neighborhood-driven hospitality to Brooklyn Heights while offering residents seamless access to exceptional dining, private entertaining opportunities, and curated culinary experiences.

Construction is expected to commence later this year, with completion anticipated in 2029. Exclusive sales and marketing are being led by Ryan Serhant’s SERHANT. New Development, with Ravi Kantha and the Kantha Team leading sales. Additional information is available at www.rcrbrooklynheights.com.

The Ritz-Carlton Residences, Brooklyn Heights are not owned, developed, or sold by Marriott International, Inc. or its affiliates (“Marriott”). Bossert Propco, LLC uses The Ritz-Carlton trademarks and trade names under a license from Marriott, which has not confirmed the accuracy of any of the statements or representations made herein.

JW Marriott Unveils Plans for The Ocean Cliffs at Dana Point, a JW Marriott Resort Following a Multi-Million-Dollar Transformation

JW Marriott, part of Marriott International, Inc., and Aimbridge Hospitality today announced plans for a dramatic transformation of its Dana Point resort property, which will debut as The Ocean Cliffs at Dana Point, a JW Marriott Resort. The reimagination will reposition the landmark coastal resort through thoughtfully elevated design, expanded gathering spaces, and enhanced amenities and experiences aligned with JW Marriott's approach to exceptional hospitality, holistic well-being, and meaningful connection.

From its picturesque blufftop perch overlooking Dana Point Harbor, the landmark resort has anchored the Dana Point community for nearly four decades with its lively indoor-outdoor gathering spaces, classic Victorian-era architecture, and unmatched views of the California coastline.

Now, the cherished resort will embark on an exciting new chapter and thoughtfully phased transformation as it transitions to The Ocean Cliffs at Dana Point, a JW Marriott Resort. The full-scale evolution will introduce an expansive resort pool, an expanded multiacre event lawn, enhanced ballroom and meeting facilities, including a new 6,000-square-foot ballroom, a reimagined arrival experience, a signature chef-driven restaurant, and elevated resort amenities. Together, these additions will further establish the property as one of Southern California's premier destinations for leisure travel, meetings, and celebrations.

Ben Ly, General Manager of The Ocean Cliffs at Dana Point, a JW Marriott Resort, said the renovation and entrance into the JW Marriott portfolio showcases the resort’s commitment to the Dana Point community as it embarks on its own anticipated evolution.

“For nearly 40 years, this storied property has stood as a beacon overlooking Dana Point Harbor, calling both locals home and visitors to our shores to experience the quintessential Southern California coastal lifestyle. This renovation evolves the resort to be in tune with the rising tide here in Dana Point, complete with a refreshed design, new destination-style resort pool, a prominent signature restaurant concept, engaging experiences, and larger gathering spaces catering to both visiting guests and locals alike.”

The expanded gathering spaces and a new resort pool positioned at the heart of the property will maximize the resort’s sweeping Pacific views while creating new opportunities for meaningful connection and gathering. Long recognized as one of Orange County's premier destinations for meetings, weddings, and special events, the resort will also introduce enhanced event venues, including a new ballroom and reimagined gathering spaces designed to better support groups of all sizes.

The renovation and entrance into the JW Marriott portfolio marks an elevated new phase for Laguna Cliffs Marriott Resort & Spa, which has been an enduring favorite in Dana Point for California travelers, weddings, meeting planners, and the local Orange County community for decades. The resort’s transition to The Ocean Cliffs at Dana Point, a JW Marriott Resort, will introduce new elevated guest experiences, refined design and sophisticated service, creating a modern interpretation of Dana Point hospitality and embodying the thoughtful approach to luxury hospitality that today's travelers are seeking.

A Dana Point Icon, Reborn Through Design

The Ocean Cliffs at Dana Point, a JW Marriott Resort, will undergo a comprehensive redesign that balances the property's historic character with a refined contemporary aesthetic inspired by Dana Point's coastal heritage, creating an environment designed to foster connection, restoration, and a stronger sense of place.

The grand dame property tapped global hospitality design firms HKS and ROAM to reinterpret its classic design with a contemporary, yet luxurious aesthetic rooted in Dana Point’s unique history, painted cottages, historic Lantern District, and endless summer surf culture.

The resort’s arrival and public spaces will be expanded to showcase ocean views and deepen the property’s connection to its bluff-meets-sea setting. The entry drive and porte cochere have been refined to create a true sense of arrival: a gracious, welcoming threshold that immediately signals relaxed luxury and strong sense of place along the coast. The lobby will flow through dining spaces and onto an expansive ocean view deck, ideal for sunset cocktails and mingling, while pre-function meeting areas will be reimagined as indoor-outdoor environments to enhance flexibility and flow for gatherings.

The resort will reimagine its event lawn, set just steps from Dana Point’s beloved Lantern Bay Park, to be expanded and relocated adjacent to its spacious Richard Henry Dana Ballroom, anchoring the guest experience with the ability to welcome larger groups and multiple simultaneous events, each with its own unique experience.

The resort's new central pool will serve as a focal point of the guest experience, complemented by locally inspired food and beverage offerings, refreshed lounge areas and sweeping ocean views. Drawing inspiration from Southern California’s coastal landscape, the design will create an atmosphere that is both vibrant and restorative.

Standout aesthetic elements woven throughout the property mirror the inviting charm of California’s coastal cottages, from classic millwork to thoughtfully curated art pieces and ocean curiosities peppered throughout the resort and honoring its maritime character. The result is a legacy resort with a transformation that is effortlessly elevated, featuring layered interiors and residentially inspired guest rooms adorned in a fresh, coast-spun palette.

The resort’s 371 beautifully appointed guest rooms will be thoughtfully refreshed to reflect the property’s reimagined design vision, drawing inspiration from Dana Point’s coastal heritage and relaxed seaside character. As a cherished destination for multigenerational travel, the resort will continue to offer its recently renovated family pool area, cabana rentals, Kid's Club and Splash Zone, while introducing new locally inspired programming and outdoor activities designed to encourage discovery and meaningful shared experiences for guests of all ages.

Laguna Cliffs Marriott Resort and Spa in Dana Point, California, is operated by Aimbridge Hospitality.

One Table, Many Flavours: Take a Culinary Journey Around the World at KAI

Bengaluru, September 2026: At KAI Bar & Kitchen, a meal is less about choosing one culinary direction and more about discovering where the next plate might take you. Perched 13 floors above MG Road, the rooftop destination brings together a 360-degree panoramic view, Indian palace grandeur and contemporary luxury, creating a setting that is as open to exploration as its culinary offering. Built as part bar, part kitchen and part living room for the city, KAI embraces a limitless approach to dining, bringing together diverse flavours and influences for diners who enjoy exploring, connecting and discovering through food.

The culinary journey begins with plates that travel across regions and traditions without being confined to a single cuisine. Kyoto Mushrooms with Hot Coriander Sauce brings an Asian-inspired profile to the table. The Paneer Khurchan Tart, layered with raw mango and mozzarella, takes a distinctly Indian flavour and presents it through a contemporary format, creating a playful meeting point between familiar and unexpected.

The journey continues with more substantial plates that keep the culinary map moving. Malabar Seared Fish brings coastal Indian influences to the experience. At the bar, the same spirit of discovery extends to the cocktail programme with creations such as Silk Road Blossom, combining vanilla vodka, jasmine tea and oat milk, and the Kai Negroni, built with butter-washed rum and coffee-infused vermouth. Together, the food and beverage offering creates a dining experience where different flavour profiles can unfold across one table.

For a city whose dining scene continues to embrace curiosity and experimentation, KAI offers a refreshing way to experience global flavours without being restricted by culinary boundaries. It invites diners to move from Asian-inspired plates to Mediterranean flavours, Indian favourites and globally influenced cocktails, all within the same experience.

At KAI, the culinary passport is open-ended, giving every table the freedom to explore a different route, discover something unexpected and make the experience their own.
