Wyndham Garden Jim Corbett Chhoi appoints Vikkas Sharma as General Manager

The Wyndham Garden at Jim Corbett, Chhoi today announced that Vikkas Sharma has been named General Manager for the hotel, effective 16/02/25.

In his new role, Sharma will be responsible for overall hotel operations, increasing revenue potential, enhancing guest experiences, and creating a positive work environment for team members. Jim Corbett being a tourist destination famous for its tiger reserve, he will also be required to promote Wyndham Garden in all tourism markets.

Previously, Sharma served as General Manager for Lemon Tree Premier, Jim Corbett, a hotel management company based in India. He was responsible for overall hotel operations, sales and marketing, and staff management.

Accor Shared Services has promoted Sumit Gupta to general manager of Novotel & ibis Deira Creekside Dubai, part of the Arenco Accor cluster. With over 20 years of experience across hotel operations, revenue strategy, and business development, Gupta brings a performance-driven leadership approach to the 553-key dual-branded property in the heart of Deira.

Since joining the hotel in 2021 as hotel manager, Gupta has been instrumental in transforming the property’s commercial performance — driving a 16 percent increase in total revenue, leading consistent ARI and RGI growth, and enhancing the market positioning of both hotels. His hands-on leadership and focus on operational consistency also helped improve service delivery and team engagement across departments.

Gupta began his hospitality journey in front office operations and revenue management with global brands including InterContinental, Grand Hyatt, and Rotana. He later joined Accor Shared Services as cluster director of revenue management, overseeing seven hotels across the UAE. During that tenure, he led successful business mix shifts, grew digital channel contributions, and delivered sustained RGI leadership for the cluster.
