Veeba expands its portfolio with Veeba Heritage, enters chutney category

New range brings regional Indian flavours into convenient, ready to use formats, available across quick commerce, D2C and modern trade

New Delhi, August, 2026: Veeba, a leading Indian brand in sauces, mayonnaise, dressings and condiments, has expanded its portfolio with the launch of Veeba Heritage, marking its entry into the chutney category. The new range brings familiar Indian flavours inspired by regional culinary traditions into convenient, ready to use formats. The initial range comprises Chunky Mango Chutney and Tomato Date Chutney.

Veeba Heritage builds on the brand’s expertise in condiments while moving into a distinctly Indian taste space. Inspired by the diversity of India’s culinary traditions, the range brings together flavour profiles shaped by local ingredients, techniques and regional food cultures, adapted for contemporary eating habits.

Available across leading quick commerce platforms, Veeba’s D2C channels and modern trade outlets nationwide, Veeba Heritage is designed to bring these familiar flavours to modern tables in a format that fits seamlessly into everyday meals.

Viraj Bahl, Founder and Managing Director, VRB Consumer Products, said, “One of the most remarkable things about food in India is how dramatically the palate can change every hundred kilometres. The same ingredient is understood differently across regions, shaped by local produce, techniques and ideas of balance. That depth and diversity gives us an extraordinary culinary heritage to draw from. With Veeba Heritage, our ambition is to bring some of these distinctive expressions to modern tables in a format that is relevant to how people eat today.

The launch is being supported by a digital campaign that explores the thinking behind the range, bringing consumers closer to the flavours, culinary traditions and contemporary eating occasions that inspired the products.

With Veeba Heritage, the brand is beginning to explore a category deeply rooted in India’s food culture. The launch of the first two products sets the foundation for a wider range as Veeba looks to bring more of India’s distinctive culinary traditions into convenient formats for modern consumers.

Shremoha Launches as India’s Premium Longevity Living Platform, Announces Two Senior Living Partnerships in Pune and Gurugram

The partnerships with Tru Realty for Kekarav in Pune and KREEVA in Gurugram mark the beginning of Shremoha’s vision to create integrated longevity ecosystems for India’s evolving senior population.”

A strategic partnership between Shrem Group and Emoha, a part of Age Care Labs gives rise to Shremoha, a new senior living platform founded on a bold vision: to create India’s first Intentional Blue Zone — a national institution where growing older in India means living magnificently.

Mumbai, August 2026: Shremoha, India’s premium senior independent living platform, was officially launched at the Longevity Summit India 2026 held at Fairmont Mumbai. This marked a significant step in the evolution of senior living in India. Formed in July 2026 through a strategic partnership between Shrem Group and Emoha, a part of Age Care Labs—the parent company of Emoha and Epoch Elder Care—Shremoha aims to redefine senior living by establishing new gold standards in geriatric-grade personalised care, preventive health and wellness within hospitality-led longevity ecosystems designed to help young elders live with greater independence, purpose and dignity.

As part of the launch, Shremoha announced its first two flagship development partnerships – Kekarav by TRU Realty in Pune and KREEVA in Gurugram – marking its entry into two of India's fastest-growing markets for premium senior living. The projects are designed for independent seniors seeking a premium, active and socially connected lifestyle while having access to wellness, hospitality and support services that can evolve with their needs.

Speaking about the two projects, Saumyajit Roy, Co-founder & CEO, Emoha Elder Care and Co-founder of Shremoha, said, "Shremoha is the first expression of a vision we have believed in for a long time—that the future of senior living is not about care alone but about creating places where people can continue to live with purpose, independence and meaningful human connections. Through our years of taking care of elders at Emoha, we have understood what seniors truly value. Shremoha brings those learnings together with hospitality and thoughtful community design to build environments where life continues to flourish. Our first projects in Pune and Gurugram are only the beginning of this larger journey."

Nitan Chhatwal, MD Shrem Group and Co-founder of Shremoha, said, “Senior living is no longer the destination after ageing. It is the platform that enables longevity. With Shremoha, our vision is to build communities that are designed not around limitations but around possibility—where hospitality, wellness, thoughtful design and operational excellence come together to create a richer way of living. We believe India has an opportunity to set a new global benchmark for longevity living, and Shremoha is our commitment towards building that future."

The launch took place during the Longevity Summit India 2026, where Shremoha was unveiled following a thought leadership panel titled "The New Luxury of Longevity: How Senior Living is Becoming the World's Most Powerful Platform for Healthy Ageing". The discussion brought together leaders from real estate, hospitality, healthcare and geriatric care to examine how senior living is evolving globally—from a real estate and care proposition into integrated longevity ecosystems that combine preventive healthcare, movement, nutrition, purpose, community and technology-enabled care.

The first two partnerships reflect this philosophy across two distinct markets. Both projects will combine geriatric-grade personalised care with a hospitality-led independent living experience, offering preventive health and wellness programmes, curated dining, resident-led experiences and integrated support designed to evolve with residents’ changing needs.

Commenting on the strategic alliance, Sujay Kalele, Managing Director, TRU Realty, said, “We are thrilled to partner with Shremoha to bring a world-class senior living experience to the vibrant community of Kekarav Township at Bavdhan, Pune. This collaboration perfectly aligns with our vision of creating thoughtfully designed, life-enriching spaces that prioritise comfort, community and well-being. By combining TRU Realty’s development expertise with Shremoha’s dedicated focus on senior care, we aim to deliver 250 thoughtfully designed residences that set a new benchmark for active, independent and secure senior living in Pune.”

Commenting on the partnership, Dr Gautam Kanodia, Founder, KREEVA, said, “We are pleased to welcome Shremoha as our senior care partner for our upcoming multigenerational project in Sector 70A, Gurugram. For us, multigenerational living is about bringing generations closer while giving each one the independence, comfort, dignity and care they deserve. With Emoha’s expertise in senior care, we look forward to creating an environment where families can live, connect and thrive together. This partnership reflects our belief that the homes of tomorrow should be designed not just for every stage of life but for every generation.”

With Kekarav in Pune and KREEVA in Gurugram, Shremoha is establishing its presence across two key urban markets. The destinations are envisioned as thoughtfully designed communities where residents can pursue active lifestyles, build social connections and participate in meaningful experiences while benefiting from an ecosystem of hospitality, wellness and care.

With its premium senior independent living proposition, Shremoha aims to establish a new benchmark for senior living in India, one that brings together healthspan, independence, community, hospitality and purpose. Through Kekarav, KREEVA and its evolving portfolio, the platform seeks to create a new generation of communities where seniors can continue to live actively, independently and meaningfully.

Cleartrip Launches Bus 2.0, Connecting 6.5 Lakh Routes Across 6,000+ Cities, Strengthens Multi-Modal Platform

~As Gen Z drives a surge in bus travel, Cleartrip's Bus 2.0 completes a fully integrated travel platform for India's next generation of travellers~

National, August , 2026: Cleartrip, a Flipkart company, today launched Bus 2.0, a significantly expanded road travel experience that connects travellers to more than 6.5 lakh routes across 6,000+ cities, including destinations that lie beyond the reach of air and rail networks. With deeper network penetration, an intuitive booking journey and access to one of the country's largest road travel inventories, Bus 2.0 enables travellers to seamlessly book buses alongside flights, trains and hotels, all on a single platform.

The category has emerged as an important touchpoint for Gen Z travellers. Today, more than 55% of bus bookings on Cleartrip come from Gen Z travellers. Students, solo travellers and first-job professionals increasingly choose buses for affordable weekend getaways, homebound trips and spontaneous travel. It offers a reliable alternative during times of high demand for train travel, making road travel more accessible than ever.

Cleartrip brings together leading private operators alongside state transport corporations, offering travellers choice across intercity and regional routes. With access to nearly 95% of the country's private bus inventory and a growing network of government-operated services, Bus 2.0 gives travellers the depth of choice typically available only at physical bus terminals,  now accessible from a phone.

Commenting on the launch, Gaurav Patwari, Chief Business Officer - Air, Cleartrip, said, "Buses connect more parts of India than any other form of transport, and for many young travellers, booking a bus is often their first experience with travel arrangements. Bus 2.0 is designed with this traveller in mind, offering flexibility, extensive coverage, and the assurance that their chosen route will be available when needed."

He further added, “With this launch, we are a step closer to our vision of making Cleartrip a comprehensive multi-modal travel platform.

Bus 2.0 marks the latest step in Cleartrip's platform build, following the expansion into trains and the deepening of international hotel supply, toward a single destination for every way Indians travel. With flights, hotels, trains, buses, and holidays now available on one platform, Cleartrip continues to reduce the friction for a traveller on their next journey.

The Luxury Collection Unveils Expeditions, A New Chapter in Cultural Discovery

The Luxury Collection today announces the launch of The Luxury Collection Expeditions, a collection of journeys extending the brand’s long-held role as The Destination Authority beyond the hotel stay and into the culture and character of a destination. Whether tracing centuries-old culinary traditions in Kyoto, journeying across the islands of Greece by helicopter, creating bespoke wine blends in Spain’s Rioja Alavesa, or exploring South Caicos alongside marine conservationists, Expeditions invite travelers to move beyond sightseeing and engage more deeply with the people, practices, and landscapes that give each destination its meaning.

The Luxury Collection has championed the art of exploration through a global portfolio of more than 130 hotels and resorts across over 40 countries and territories, each reflecting the heritage, character, and spirit of its destination. With Expeditions, the brand builds on this legacy by positioning each hotel as a gateway to deeper cultural discovery, with historians, artisans, chefs, winemakers, conservationists, and other local experts guiding guests into vineyards, workshops, kitchens, archaeological sites, and natural ecosystems. Each journey pairs this privileged access with thoughtfully curated experiences, exceptional accommodations, and seamless service, reflecting the refined hospitality that defines The Luxury Collection.

“At The Luxury Collection, we have long believed that a destination reveals itself through its people, rituals, and landscapes, and through the knowledge passed down over time,” said Bruce Rohr, Vice President and Global Brand Leader, The Luxury Collection. “Expeditions are a natural expression of that belief, inviting our guests to venture beyond the walls of their hotel and into the living fabric of a place, where expert guidance and cultural context foster a deeper and more personal understanding of a destination.”

The Luxury Collection Expeditions are offered through three distinct expressions, each bringing a unique pathway to discovery while sharing a commitment to cultural authenticity, expertise, and elevated hospitality.

Private Tailored Journeys Across Destinations

Private Tailored Journeys are bespoke, multi-day itineraries crafted around each guest’s interests, seamlessly connecting Luxury Collection hotels with private transportation, local expertise, and cultural access across multiple destinations. Each itinerary treats every stop not as a standalone visit, but as part of an interconnected regional narrative that deepens in meaning and perspective as the journey unfolds.

Japan: The Imperial Journey unfolds across Tokyo, Kyoto, and Nara over 10 days, using three Luxury Collection hotels as gateways into distinct expressions of Japanese culture, from Tokyo’s culinary precision to Kyoto’s spiritual heritage and Nara’s contemplative pace. Privately hosted experiences include entry into a samurai residence, sushi-making with a fourth-generation master, access to rarely opened temple spaces alongside a resident monk, and an intimate geiko dinner in Gion. Chauffeured transfers and Green Car rail travel connect each chapter of the journey, allowing guests to experience Japan with both extraordinary access and an unhurried sense of continuity.

Inspired by Italy’s legendary endurance road races, Italy: The Grand Italia Rally places guests behind the wheel of a classic Italian automobile on a six-night route from Milan to Venice and Florence before returning to Milan. Guided driving legs pass through Franciacorta, Lake Garda, the Apennines, Tuscany, and the Ligurian coast, offering unique rally-style navigation to some of the country’s most cinematic roads and landscapes. Each day concludes at a Luxury Collection hotel, with private boat arrivals, rooftop dining, and a finish-line celebration bringing the romance of Italian motoring into a distinctly refined journey.

Across nine days, Greece: The Aegean Odyssey connects Mykonos, Paros, and Santorini through private travel by helicopter and yacht, seamlessly pairing the beauty of the Cyclades with archaeology, cuisine, and island heritage. Guests explore the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Delos with a local archaeologist, sail to Antiparos and Despotiko, and trace Paros’ celebrated marble legacy through its quarries and villages. In Santorini, the journey uncovers the island’s distinctive wine culture through tastings of indigenous grape varieties and intimate culinary experiences set within a historic canava that has shaped local life for centuries.

Day Discoveries Rooted in Place

Available at select hotels, Day Discoveries are focused, single-day experiences that highlight a specific craft, culinary tradition, cultural practice, or natural environment to reveal a deeper layer of the destination. The experiences demonstrate how a single day can offer meaningful cultural depth, inviting guests to move from observation to participation through enduring local traditions.

Offered through Suiran, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Kyoto, Farm to Fermentation traces the city’s preservation culture through an intimate journey for up to four guests. The experience begins among seasonal vegetables at a local farm before continuing to a fermentation house, where guests learn the rice-bran preservation technique of nukazuke and explore how patience, climate, and seasonality shape Japanese flavor. A picnic in the agricultural landscape and a chef-crafted teppanyaki dinner complete the progression from field to fermentation house to table.

At The Phoenician, a Luxury Collection Resort, Scottsdale, Desert Icons: A Private Journey Through Living Legacy explores the Sonoran Desert through conservation, architecture, and locally sourced cuisine. Guests enjoy privileged access to the Desert Botanical Garden, including a privately guided exploration of its signature trails and behind-the-scenes entry to its seed bank, herbarium, and greenhouse, where biodiversity preservation and climate-resilient research come to life. The journey continues at Taliesin West with a private tour of Frank Lloyd Wright’s iconic desert laboratory, before concluding at The Phoenician, a Luxury Collection Resort, Scottsdale with a farm-to-table dinner inspired by the landscapes, ingredients, and traditions of the Sonoran Desert.

At Bab Samhan, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Diriyah, Doors of Diriyah: A Najdi Palette & Palate reveals the region through the color, geometry, and craftsmanship of its historic doorways. Guests explore the UNESCO-listed A-Turaif district and enter a private Najdi palace before preparing Henini – a heritage dish of dates, ghee, and cardamom – with the hotel’s expert chefs. The day concludes with an artisan-led painting workshop, where each guest creates a miniature Najdi door inspired by the pigments and motifs encountered throughout the journey.

Residencies & Collaborations Guided by Expertise

Residencies & Collaborations are limited-time programs that bring guests into direct exchange with leading winemakers, scientists, conservationists, and cultural voices through shared learning and hands-on participation. Spanning disciplines from winemaking to marine science, the programs place specialist knowledge at the center of the guest experience and create opportunities to contribute, create and learn alongside those shaping their fields.

At Hotel Marqués de Riscal, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Elciego, The Art of Winemaking: A Rioja Alavesa Masterclass immerses guests in the full evolution of a vintage over five days. Participants harvest grapes alongside the viticulture team, gain privileged access to the winery’s gravity-fed cellar, and enter the laboratory for a private blending session to craft their own bespoke wine identity. Vineyard lunches, rare vintages, a 16-course gastronomic dinner, and a candlelit farewell feast in the historic cellars further illuminate the traditions of Rioja Alavesa. Following departure, guests’ personalized wines continue aging in French oak barrels before 40 custom-labeled bottles are shipped to their homes.

At Salterra, a Luxury Collection Resort & Spa, South Caicos, three expert-led programs reveal the island through its coral reefs, remote flats, coastal cays, and dark skies. Reef Revival Expedition brings guests alongside marine scientists and School for Field Studies researchers to a coral nursery laboratory and guided snorkeling above the reef, with an optional coral-planting dive available to certified divers. On Angler’s Paradise Expedition, guests explore the island’s secluded flats with a bonefishing expert, tracking fish and casting across the remote waters before returning to the resort for a Caribbean-inspired meal centered on the day’s catch. From Tides to Stars Expedition moves from naturalist-guided kayaking through the Northern Cays to private stargazing beneath South Caicos’ dark skies. Together, the three programs position the resort as a gateway to the island’s living ecosystems, and the local stewards working to preserve them.

Together, the inaugural collection comprises 10 Expeditions across destinations in North America, Europe, Asia, and the Caribbean, revealing the cultural heritage, craftsmanship, cuisine, ecosystems, and wellness practices of destinations worldwide. The Luxury Collection will unveil additional Expeditions this fall, continuing to expand the platform across its global portfolio. Awas country Club Launches in Alibaug, Bringing a New Expression of Private, Wellness-Led Living to the Region

A patrons-only country club that brings together residence-style living, wellness, leisure and hospitality amidst the quiet of mature mango groves.

There is a certain luxury in having nowhere to be. No itinerary to follow, no plans to keep, just the freedom to let the day unfold on its own. Mornings begin slowly, afternoons disappear by the pool, children wander off to play, parents linger over lunch, and somehow, everyone finds their way back to the same table by evening.

It is this idea of unhurried, shared living that sits at the heart of Awas Country Club, a new patrons-only private club in Alibaug. Set amidst mature mango groves and landscaped greens, Awas has been conceived as “not a resort, something quieter” - a place that feels closer to having a home away from home, but with everything taken care of.

An extension of Sun-n-Sand’s six-decade hospitality legacy, Awas brings the brand’s longstanding experience in hospitality into a private country club format. Three expansive 4,700 sq. ft. five-bedroom villas form the residential core of the property, offering the space and ease of residence-style living, while the clubhouse extends that experience with spaces for dining, wellness, recreation and entertainment, all within one private estate.

“We didn’t want to build another resort. Alibaug already has those. What we wanted was a place that families could quietly call their own, where they would run into the same faces, where the staff remembers how you take your coffee and where each visit feels a little more familiar than the last. For us, that sense of familiarity and belonging is what makes a private club truly meaningful”, spokesperson, title.

That philosophy is reflected in the scale of the club itself. With just three expansive villas and access reserved for patrons and their guests, Awas has been intentionally kept intimate and low-density. The limited number of villas allows the club to retain a sense of privacy and ease, while giving patrons the freedom to settle into the space at their own pace.

That same freedom carries into the way the day unfolds, with individuals able to find their own rhythm between rest, movement and everything in between. The dedicated wellness wing offers treatment rooms, a Himalayan salt therapy room and relaxation lounge for those looking to slow down, while the high-performance gym, yoga and Pilates studio and golf simulator cater to more active pursuits. Pickleball, padel and tennis bring a more energetic, social side to the day. Together, these experiences reflect Awas’s belief that movement and recovery can sit naturally alongside one another - a philosophy captured in “Where Luxury Meets Longevity.”

Food and shared experiences form another natural rhythm of life at the club. Drift, the multi-cuisine restaurant, serves from breakfast through dinner, with private dining options available for more intimate occasions. The freeform pool offers an easy setting for long afternoons, while the private theatre, karaoke and games room bring families and friends together after dark. At the rooftop bar, evenings take on a slower pace, while Waves provides a more considered setting for larger celebrations and special occasions.

For families, especially those travelling across generations, the beauty lies in not having to do the same thing at the same time. A grandparent can spend the morning at the spa, younger members of the family can head to the courts, while someone else lingers over breakfast or by the pool. They can each spend the day differently, and still come together later over a meal, a film or an evening gathering. The five-bedroom villas make staying together easy, while the club gives each generation enough space to make the experience their own. It is this balance of activity and ease that shapes the experience at Awas.

The setting plays an equally important role in shaping that experience. The property sits within mature mango groves, with landscaped greens, shaded pathways and open spaces woven into the experience. Handcrafted interiors and a coastal sensibility keep the spaces warm and tactile, allowing the landscape to remain as much a part of Awas as the architecture.

At a time when luxury travel is increasingly moving away from packed itineraries and towards the value of time itself, Awas offers something refreshingly simple: the freedom to slow down, stay a little longer, and leave already looking forward to coming back.

With the opening of the outlet in Prayagraj, Haldiram’s is echoing the brand’s vision to expand in potential emerging markets beyond the traditional metro cities. As Haldiram's expands its presence across the country, its motto remains to conserve the tradition and quality that have long defined it as the country's most celebrated food brand for several years.

Hotel Launches Rooftop Sound Healing Experiences Above Gulf of Thailand

PATTAYA, Thailand (2026) – A new sound healing experience suspended high above Pattaya’s shoreline is beckoning guests to calm the nervous system and encourage mindfulness.

Conducted at the Meliá Pattaya Hotel’s rooftop bar, the new Sound Healing Retreat combines therapeutic sound frequencies with guided relaxation techniques.

The sessions harness singing bowls, crystal bowls, gongs and other instruments to shift the mind from a heightened alert state, spurred by the busyness of everyday life, into slower, more meditative brainwave patterns. The experience supports physical and mental wellbeing by activating the body’s parasympathetic nervous system.

Private sessions are available at the hotel’s YHI Spa for individuals and couples, while larger group classes and corporate wellness experiences are also on offer for meetings, incentives and retreats.

Among the most atmospheric offerings is the hotel’s “Yoga with Sound Bath” experience held at the rooftop bar at sunrise. Combining a 45-minute yoga class with a 20-minute sound healing journey, the session unfolds as the city gradually wakes beneath the rooftop venue.

“There’s something especially powerful about experiencing sound healing above the city as the sea stretches out in front of you,” said Meliá Pattaya Hotel’s general manager Alexander Lopez. “These experiences encourage guests to come up for air and reconnect with themselves in an extraordinary setting that simultaneously feels calming and reinvigorating.”

Sound healing builds on Meliá Pattaya Hotel’s wider wellness offering at YHI Spa, which blends Asian healing traditions with contemporary wellbeing therapies. The spa menu offers an array of massages, body rituals, facials and hydrotherapy treatments using natural products and techniques designed to restore balance and relaxation.

The hotel’s regular morning yoga and Pilates classes held throughout the week offer guests gentler movement-based wellness experiences. Hosted at Yitong Sky Bar, the beginner-friendly sessions focus on flexibility, posture, core strength and mindful movement while taking in Pattaya’s morning skyline.

Sound healing sessions, yoga and Pilates classes are available by advance booking through the hotel’s spa.

With the addition of Toastroom, Medalio Kota aims to serve not only as a place to stay, but also as a destination for the city to meet and celebrate.

Commenting on the opening, Sidharth Gupta, Co-founder and CEO, Treebo Hospitality Ventures, said:

"Kota is entering a new phase, with improved infrastructure, new public spaces and a growing tourism ecosystem broadening the reasons people visit the city. We believe travel to Kota is set to grow significantly over the coming years, across education, business and leisure. As this demand expands, travellers will expect more from mid-market hotels than a dependable stay alone. Medalio Kota has been developed to meet that opportunity through thoughtful design, good dining and spaces that feel genuinely welcoming."

Leisure Hotels Group launches Viraam Spa

A Signature Holistic Wellness Brand that Invites Guests to Pause, Reset and Renew

New Delhi, August, 2026: Leisure Hotels Group (LHG),  North India’s leading experiential resort chain, rooted in ‘Dev Bhumi’ Uttarakhand, announces the launch of Viraam Spa, its signature wellness brand. Founded on the belief that true wellbeing is achieved through the harmonious balance of mind, body and spirit, Viraam marks a significant milestone in the Group's journey towards creating more holistic guest experiences.

Derived from the Sanskrit word meaning 'pause', Viraam is guided by three simple principles - Pause. Restore. Reconnect. It celebrates the idea that the finest journeys are not measured by the places we visit, but by the moments that allow us to return to ourselves. More than a Resort Spa, Viraam invites guests to slow down, breathe deeply and reconnect - with themselves and the destination.

Speaking on the launch, Sanjay Sood, COO, Leisure Hotels Group, said, "Hospitality today is no longer just about where people stay; it's about how they feel when they leave. With Viraam, we've created a wellness philosophy that encourages guests to slow down, reconnect with themselves and experience every destination more mindfully. It is a natural extension of Leisure Hotels Group's approach to experiential hospitality, where nature, culture and wellbeing come together to create journeys that stay with our guests long after they return home.”

Inspired by Indian Ayurveda alongside Western, Mediterranean and Chinese wellness philosophies, Viraam offers personalised wellness journeys rather than conventional spa treatments. Every experience begins with an individual consultation, enabling therapists to understand each guest's lifestyle, wellness goals and specific concerns before recommending tailored therapies. The menu includes signature massage rituals, aromatherapy, deep tissue and hot stone therapies, luxury facials, body scrubs and wraps, couple experiences and targeted wellness rituals – each designed to leave guests feeling lighter in body, quieter in mind and renewed in spirit.

Inspired by the pristine landscapes and ancient wellness traditions of Uttarakhand, the revered Devbhumi, Viraam Spa's exclusive wellness products are thoughtfully crafted using signature essential oils, Himalayan botanicals, fruit and floral extracts, and nourishing natural butters. Infused with indigenous ingredients that celebrate the region's rich natural heritage, each formulation is designed to restore balance, awaken the senses, and offer an immersive journey of relaxation rooted in the healing spirit of the Himalayas.

Launching in a phased rollout, Viraam Spa will debut at The Naini Retreat overlooking Naini Lake; Aloha On The Ganges on the banks of the Ganga in Rishikesh; The Riverview Retreat amidst the forests of Corbett; Ganga Lahari near Har Ki Pauri in Haridwar; and Auradoon in Dehradun. Open to both residents and non-resident guests, Viraam will gradually expand across additional Leisure Hotels Group properties, further strengthening the Group's vision of destination-led hospitality inspired by the landscapes and spirit of the Himalayas.

Scoop Room Arrives in Bengaluru, Inviting a New Conversation on Premium Ice Cream

Launched this month in Indiranagar, the premium vegetarian ice cream brand champions ingredient-forward craftsmanship, thoughtful technique and  indulgence..

Bengaluru, August 2026: For years, we've learnt to ask better questions about what we eat and drink. We know where our coffee beans come from. We debate sourdough fermentation, natural wines and small-batch spirits. Yet, one of the world's most loved indulgences has largely escaped that conversation. Ice cream has remained a mystery, often judged by nostalgia, sweetness or novelty rather than by the quality of its ingredients or the craft behind every scoop.

Scoop Room, opened now in Indiranagar, Bengaluru, wants to change that conversation.

Founded by hospitality entrepreneur Pallavii Gupta, Scoop Room is a contemporary ice cream brand built on the belief that indulgence deserves standards. The brand introduces a thoughtful approach to premium vegetarian and eggless ice cream, placing flavour, technique and balance at the heart of every scoop. Rather than chasing excess or spectacle, Scoop Room invites people to understand ice cream the way they understand any other craft driven food category.

Every flavour is developed around the principle of ingredient-forward craftsmanship. The objective is not to mask ingredients with excessive sugar or elaborate additions, but to allow each component to express itself with clarity and purpose. The result is an ice cream that feels refined without being intimidating, indulgent without being overwhelming, and familiar while offering an entirely new perspective on what premium ice cream can be.

"We've become incredibly curious consumers in almost every category," says founder Pallavii Gupta. "People want to understand how their coffee is roasted or how chocolate is sourced. But very few people have ever been encouraged to think about ice cream in the same way. For us, the scoop itself deserves that level of attention. We wanted to build a brand where people appreciate the flavours before gimmicks."

That philosophy stems from Gupta's decade-long journey in hospitality, where she has consistently built brands centred around quality, thoughtful design and meaningful guest experiences. Following the success of The Kind, India's first vegetarian coffee roastery and brewroom, Scoop Room continues her larger vision of creating contemporary vegetarian brands that compete on craftsmanship rather than convention.

The launch menu features 24 signature ice cream flavours with prices starting at ₹190 plus GST. Every accompanying element, from waffle cones and sauces, is made in-house to ensure consistency across the experience.

The menu moves comfortably between familiar comforts and more contemporary flavour explorations. Guests can revisit classics through offerings such as, Cookie Dough Hour, which elevates a beloved childhood favourite through careful balance and texture, to the refined Indian-inspired notes of Paan-tastic, where betel leaf flavours are balanced with a contemporary finish.

The menu also explores unexpected combinations such as Pick Me Avo, a smooth and creamy avocado-based creation that challenges conventional ideas of indulgence, and Nutty Basil, which brings together herbaceous basil notes with a delicate peanut crunch. Gingersnap adds warmth through the gentle spice of ginger. Every element, from the ice creams to the accompanying waffles, cookies, brownies and sauces, is prepared in-house to ensure consistency and depth of flavour across the experience.

This same philosophy extends into the physical space.

Designed by Bengaluru-based architecture and interiors practice the LOCALSTUDIO, led by principal architect Madhurima Kordale, the store balances playful energy with a clean, contemporary aesthetic that reflects the brand's personality.

Responding to founder Pallavii Gupta's vision of creating a youthful neighbourhood ice cream destination, the design combines a largely monochromatic palette with carefully considered accents of neon green, pink, yellow and silver. White tiled surfaces, custom lighting details and mirror-finished stainless steel elements create a sense of lightness and openness, while playful interventions such as vintage telephones and dedicated "scoop corners" introduce moments of discovery throughout the space.

At the heart of the store is a sculptural stainless steel counter that serves as both a functional centrepiece and visual anchor. The experience culminates in a facade wrapped in illuminated perforated steel panels, designed to transform the store into a glowing landmark after sunset.

Designed as a welcoming neighbourhood destination, Scoop Room also features a pet-friendly outdoor area, encouraging guests to linger, gather and enjoy a scoop with family, friends and furry companions alike.

At a time when consumers increasingly value transparency and craftsmanship, Scoop Room believes premium should be measured by substance rather than excess. It asks diners to look beyond the toppings and the theatrics, and instead appreciate the discipline required to create a scoop that is balanced, flavourful, joyous and memorable.

As India's dining landscape continues to evolve, premium is no longer defined by extravagance alone. It is defined by intention, reliability, restraint and authenticity. Scoop Room enters this conversation with quiet confidence, offering an experience where every scoop alone is the hero. It's just really good ice cream!

Ladurée Brings New Indulgences to Its Pâtisserie Collection with Signature Cookies, Croissant and Muffin

National, August 2026: Ladurée announces a new cookie range, placing its cookies at the heart of the maison's pâtisserie tradition while extending its premium offerings with the quality and precision it is known for.

The Plaisir Sucré Muffin brings equal indulgence, filled with homemade hazelnut praline and Valrhona Gianduja and Jivara milk chocolate, and finished with crushed hazelnuts and crumble for added texture. The Croissant Rose Macaron reinterprets the maison’s signature: a golden, buttery croissant filled with Ladurée’s iconic rose macaron (signature offering), bridging two of the brand’s most beloved creations in a single pastry.

Rounding out the launch, the Chocolate Buckwheat Cookie brings together Valrhona chocolate cookie dough with buckwheat seeds, hazelnuts and chocolate-caramel drops, layering texture and depth into every bite. Alongside it, the Peanut Caramel Cookie combines peanut cookie dough with whole peanuts and salted caramel drops, offering a rich, nutty profile balanced by the sweetness of caramel.

Each creation in the range reflects Ladurée’s commitment to premium ingredients and considered craftsmanship, whether through the selection of Valrhona chocolate, the use of whole nuts and seeds, or the homemade fillings that go into every pastry. The launch reaffirms the maison’s place at the intersection of French technique and everyday indulgence, offering guests new reasons to return to their favourite Ladurée café.

Timed ahead of the festive season, the range also marks a considered addition to Ladurée’s retail offerings in the Indian market, giving guests fresh reasons to explore the brand this season.

Mumbai's Beloved Gulmurg Begins Its Next Chapter at The Shalimar Hotel

Mumbai, July 2026: Some restaurants become landmarks. Others become part of people's lives. For over six decades, Gulmurg at The Shalimar Hotel, Kemps Corner, has been woven into the fabric of Mumbai's dining culture. Since opening its doors in 1962, the restaurant has welcomed generations of families, hosted countless celebrations, and built a loyal following through food that remained consistent, hospitality that felt personal, and an experience that always felt familiar.

Now, following an eighteen-month restoration, Gulmurg enters its next chapter.

The reopening marks not a reinvention of the restaurant, but a continuation of everything that has made it a fixture of South Mumbai dining for more than sixty years. The refreshed space, renewed dining experience, and carefully considered additions to the menu have all been approached with a simple philosophy: evolve thoughtfully, without losing what people have always loved.

At the heart of this chapter is a family legacy spanning three generations.

What began with a deep commitment to hospitality and quality under the founding generation was carried forward by Mr. D.S Advani, Chairman & Managing Director of The Shalimar Hotel, and today continues through Yash Advani, who will now lead the restaurant into its future. For the family, Gulmurg has never simply been a business. It has been a responsibility — one built over decades of relationships, returning guests, and a genuine belief that hospitality is ultimately about making people feel cared for.

While the restaurant has evolved with the times, its foundations remain unchanged. Signature dishes that have become synonymous with Gulmurg continue to hold their place on the menu, from the iconic Chicken Makhanwala and Paneer Makhanwala to long-standing favourites that generations of guests have grown up with. Alongside these classics, the menu has been thoughtfully expanded with new regional influences, seasonal additions and contemporary touches that complement, rather than replace, the restaurant's identity.

The renewed Gulmurg also reflects a broader understanding of how people dine today. The experience has been refined across every touchpoint, from the food and beverage programme to the interiors and service, while preserving the warmth and familiarity that have always defined the restaurant.

In a city constantly shaped by change, Gulmurg remains a reminder that some places endure because they never lose sight of what matters most. More than sixty years since it first opened its doors, the restaurant continues to offer what it always has: comforting food, warm hospitality and a place people are happy to return to.

Say Heyou to Bengaluru’s Newest Social Drinking and Dining Spot

Opened on MG Road on June 12th, the new restaurant and bar is designed for spontaneous plans, shared tables and evenings that unfold naturally.

Bengaluru, 2026: Heyou, the newest hospitality concept from Keen Mustard Ventures, opened to the public on 12 June 2026 on MG Road, Bengaluru. Conceived as a contemporary social drinking and dining destination, Heyou brings together flavour-forward drinks, globally inspired food and a two-level experience designed around the way people gather today. The menus are built around the natural flow of an evening: the first round, the shared bite, the second drink, the table that grows and the plan that turns into dinner.

This launch marks the latest addition to the Keen Mustard Ventures portfolio, which includes Daysie, Serious Slice, Quarter House, Suzy Q and 1Q1. Founded by Anirudh Kheny, Neeti Gokhalay Kheny and Atul Sunder, the Bengaluru-based hospitality company is known for creating concepts with distinct identities, thoughtful guest experiences and strong operational foundations. With Heyou, the team brings together its collective expertise in concept development, operations, food and beverage innovation, design and guest experience into a concept built around contemporary social dining.

Speaking about the new spot, Anirudh Kheny, Managing Partner and Co-founder, Keen Mustard Ventures, said: "Heyou is created as a place people can return to again and again, whether it is for cocktails, dinner or an easy evening out. We wanted to build something approachable, energetic and welcoming, with great food, great drinks and an atmosphere that encourages people to stay, connect and enjoy themselves. The best hospitality experiences are the ones that feel effortless. With Heyou, our focus has been on creating a place that combines quality with accessibility and delivers memorable experiences without taking itself too seriously."

THE MENU FLOW

The food and beverage menus at Heyou are designed as one connected evening. Drinks lead the room, food keeps the plan moving, and both menus are structured around how people naturally gather, snack, share, drink and stay.

The beverage menu moves from bright first-round serves to playful nostalgic cocktails, deeper layered drinks, hybrid classics, small social serves and flavour-forward no-alcohol options. The food menu follows the same rhythm: light first bites, crunchy bar snacks, steamed and folded plates, small plates for passing around, fire-led dishes for the centre of the table, comfort plates when the group settles in, and desserts for the table that stayed.

BEVERAGE PROGRAMME

At the heart of Heyou is a beverage programme inspired by contemporary drinking cultures across Seoul, Singapore, Melbourne, London, Barcelona and Mexico City. The programme favours recognisable flavour profiles, freshness, carbonation, salinity, spice and citrus, resulting in cocktails that are approachable, balanced and highly drinkable.

The drinks are grouped not just by what they are, but by the role they play in the evening. Easy Does It focuses on bright, refreshing and easy-drinking serves, while One More features playful and nostalgic cocktails designed to keep the conversation going. Low Lights explores deeper, spirit-forward creations, Mixed Signals brings together inventive hybrid cocktails and unexpected flavour combinations, and Trouble Shoots offers playful, bite-sized serves designed for groups. The programme is complemented by No Pressure, a dedicated collection of flavour-packed non-alcoholic drinks crafted with the same attention to detail as the rest of the menu.

Signature cocktails include the Red Room, Southbound, Umami Club, Ring My Bell, Coconut Ash and Kokum Silk, alongside a selection of contemporary classics and social drinking formats.

WELCOME BITE / RITUAL

As guests are seated, they are welcomed with a signature bite that offers a preview of the flavour philosophy behind the Heyou beverage programme before the first drink arrives. A cube of fresh watermelon, lightly infused with vodka, coated in passion fruit chilli salt and finished with mint caviar, moves through sweetness, spice, tang, freshness and salinity in a single bite. Designed as an introduction to the bright, recognisable and playful flavours that define the bar, the welcome ritual sets the tone for the experience to follow. A non-alcoholic version is also available, ensuring every guest receives the same welcome.

FOOD PROGRAMME

Complementing the drinks is a food programme designed to evolve with the evening. What begins as a few snacks alongside cocktails can gradually become a full meal, reflecting the way people naturally gather, share and order when they go out today. Rather than being organised around a single cuisine, the menu is designed around the way guests naturally order, share and dine through the evening, moving from bar snacks, chaat, dim sum and baos to small plates, dishes from the grill, pizzas, pasta, Asian favourites and Indian comfort dishes. The result is a dining experience that feels relaxed, social and adaptable, whether guests are stopping in for a quick bite, settling in for multiple rounds or staying on for dinner.

Guests can begin with dishes such as Firecracker Garlic Edamame and Burrata Papdi Chaat, before moving on to shareable favourites like Chicken Xiao Long Bao and Char Siu Pork Open Bao. For larger group orders, the menu features dishes such as Truffle Butter Paneer Khurchan Toast and Tandoori Garlic Prawns, while more substantial plates including Wild Mushroom Chow Fun and Tiger Prawn Pad Thai bring comfort and familiarity to tables that decide to stay longer. Desserts such as Japanese Cheesecake and Salted Caramel Churros round out the experience.

THE SPACE

Spread across two distinct levels, the venue offers two complementary experiences. The lower level houses Heyou Bar, a 21-and-over, walk-in, drinks-led space designed for after-work drinks, casual gatherings and lively evenings. Upstairs, Heyou Dining offers a more relaxed, table-led environment suited to longer meals, larger groups, families, hotel guests, celebrations and social occasions. Together, the two spaces reflect the flexibility at the heart of the Heyou experience, allowing guests to drop in for a quick drink, settle in for dinner or move seamlessly between the two as the evening unfolds.

Designed by Nativity for Keen Mustard Ventures, the interiors are shaped by rhythm, movement and contrast, bringing together two distinct experiences under one roof. Bold geometries, layered volumes and recurring patterns create a sense of flow throughout the venue, while a warm material palette and dynamic lighting bring depth and atmosphere to the space. As the day transitions into evening, the environment evolves from bright and social to intimate and immersive, creating a setting that feels welcoming, contemporary and effortlessly adaptable to every occasion.

As Bengaluru's food and beverage landscape continues to evolve, Heyou aims to offer a fresh perspective on contemporary hospitality: quality without stiffness, discovery without confusion, and great drinks without the attitude. Designed for plans that begin with a drink and stretch naturally into the evening, Heyou is set to become a new social dining and drinking destination on MG Road.

SATTE Marks a Milestone with Launch of the Exhibitions Industry’s First-Ever Independent Economic Impact Report, Developed with EY

Report launched by Shri Suman Billa IAS, Additional Secretary & DG, Ministry of Tourism, Govt. of India, at a special evening in New Delhi
* First time in SATTE's 33-year history that its economic footprint has been independently quantified
* Move positions SATTE as a benchmark for how travel and tourism exhibitions demonstrate value to government, industry and investors

* One event. Millions of journeys. SATTE 2026 generated an estimated direct economic impact of INR 193 crore.

New Delhi, July , 2026: Informa Markets in India, organiser of SATTE (South Asia Travel and Tourism Exchange), today marked a defining milestone in the exhibition's 33-year journey with the launch of its first-ever independent Economic Impact Report, developed in partnership with EY. Unveiled at a special event at Le Méridien, New Delhi, the report independently measures SATTE's economic contribution while highlighting the exhibition's wider multiplier effect across India's travel and tourism ecosystem.

The report was formally launched by Shri Suman Billa IAS, Additional Secretary & Director General, Ministry of Tourism, Government of India, who was the evening's Chief Guest. He was joined on stage for the unveiling by a distinguished array of dignitaries and industry leaders such as Shri Gyan Bhushan (IES), Senior Economic Advisor, Ministry of Tourism; H.E. Ms. Chavanart Thangsumphant, Ambassador of Thailand to India — Thailand having been SATTE's supporting partner country for several years; and members of the SATTE 2026 Award Jury, including Shri Arvind Singh (Former Secretary, Ministry of Tourism), Dr. Abhay Sinha (Director General, SEPC-India), S Shri Himanshu Patil (President, OTOAI), Shri Aashish Gupta (Consulting CEO, FAITH), Smt. Jyoti Mayal (Chairperson, THSC) and Smt. Meena Bhatia (VP & GM, Le Méridien New Delhi), along with Shri Bhavesh Laddha, Director at EY Consulting, Mr. Yogesh Mudras, Managing Director, Informa Markets in India, and Ms. Pallavi Mehra, Senior Group Director, Informa Markets in India, and Publisher, Travel Trends Today.

A Landmark Study for SATTE and India's Travel Exhibition Industry

For over three decades, SATTE has served as a meeting ground for governments, tourism boards, destinations and businesses across the global travel value chain. With this landmark report, Informa Markets in India and EY have, for the first time in SATTE's history, independently quantified the exhibition's measurable economic contribution while reinforcing the broader role business exhibitions play in enabling tourism, trade, investment and long-term economic growth.

Beyond measuring the exhibition's immediate economic contribution, the report introduces what it describes as the 'SATTE Multiplier Effect'—the cascading economic value created when business concluded between destinations, tourism boards, travel agents and tour operators at the show translates into bookings, travel packages, accommodation, aviation demand, transportation, visitor spending and employment throughout the year.

While the study quantifies SATTE's measurable economic contribution through direct, indirect and tax revenues, it also underscores that the exhibition's wider influence extends well beyond the three days of the event as commercial relationships forged on the show floor continue to generate tourism activity and economic value across destinations throughout the year.

In his foreword to the report, Shri Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, Union Minister of Tourism & Culture, Government of India, said exhibitions "serve as engines of growth that stimulate trade, encourage entrepreneurship, attract investment and create value across entire economic ecosystems," noting that SATTE "has established itself as South Asia's leading travel and tourism exhibition." Shri Shekhawat also pointed out to the Ministry's "Meet in India" initiative and continued infrastructure development as part of the Government's commitment to strengthening India's MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Exhibitions) ecosystem.

Speaking at the launch, Shri Suman Billa IAS, Additional Secretary & Director General, Ministry of Tourism, Government of India, said, “I am especially delighted to be part of the launch of the exhibitions industry's first impact assessment report. What reports like these do is convert intuition into evidence. When we attend events, our understanding of their impact is often anecdotal. Studies like these bring in data, rigour and measurable outcomes.

Today, exhibitions are not merely industry gatherings; they are engines and accelerators of economic growth, as well as platforms for market intelligence. I extend my strong support to events such as SATTE, as they democratise access to the tourism business, enabling even the smallest players to connect with international partners and collaborators. We need events like SATTE to continue growing from strength to strength," he added.

Mr. Yogesh Mudras, Managing Director, Informa Markets in India, said, "This report marks a significant milestone in SATTE's journey. For the first time, it independently measures the exhibition's economic contribution while highlighting the wider value that business events create across the travel and tourism ecosystem. Beyond the three days of the exhibition, SATTE serves as a catalyst for partnerships, business growth and tourism activity that continue to generate value throughout the year. We hope the insights from this report serve as a valuable resource for policymakers, tourism boards, investors and industry stakeholders as they shape the next phase of growth for India's travel and tourism sector."

Mr. Bhavesh Laddha, Director, EY Consulting, said, " "We are extremely proud to be the knowledge and intelligence partner for SATTE's Economic Impact Report. Our analysis shows that SATTE 2026 served as a significant catalyst for economic activity, generating an estimated economic impact of INR 193 crore. The exhibition contributed to over 45,000 man-days of employment, generated more than 50,000 hotel room nights and facilitated over 25,000 flight bookings.

Today's launch of the report, 'One Event. Millions of Journeys.', reflects precisely the scale and ripple effect that exhibitions can create. Considering even one percent of the business opportunities and MoUs initiated at the event resulted into actual transactions, the longer-term economic impact could run into an estimated 3000-4000 crore beyond the exhibition itself. We value the trust, collaboration and partnerships that are essential for industries and economies to continue growing," he added

The report also lays out a forward agenda for SATTE 2027, calling for sharper focus on curated, high-value engagement over sheer volume, deeper integration of Tier-II and Tier-III markets, a stronger push on traveller safety and confidence-building, and greater flexibility in booking and pricing models as the travel landscape responds to ongoing global shifts.

A Milestone for India's Travel and Tourism Sector

The launch also comes at a significant moment for India's wider travel and tourism economy. With exhibitions recording almost 40% post-pandemic growth and over 1,000 organised exhibitions now hosted across India every year, the country is increasingly positioning itself as a preferred global destination for business events.

According to Ms Anita Mendiratta, Special Advisor to the Secretary General, UN Tourism, "Credible intelligence of the kind such as the one brought out by SATTE in partnership with EY is critical to informing policy, guiding investment, and shaping decisions that deliver lasting value for destinations, communities, businesses and travelers alike. SATTE's collaboration with EY provides an important resource for policymakers, business leaders and stakeholders across India's travel ecosystem."

By independently measuring and documenting its economic footprint, SATTE has taken an important step towards strengthening evidence-based dialogue around the value created by business exhibitions, providing policymakers, investors and industry stakeholders with deeper insights into the role exhibitions play in driving tourism, trade and economic development.

Key Findings from the Report

The report independently quantifies SATTE's economic contribution for the first time in the exhibition's 33-year history while highlighting the wider 'SATTE Multiplier Effect'.

  • SATTE 2026 generated an estimated direct economic impact of INR 193 crore.

  • SATTE 2026 generated over 45,000 man-days of employment, 50,000+ hotel room nights and 25,000+ flight bookings.

  • SATTE 2026 attracted 45,000+ total footfall (26,000+ unique visitors), 1,500+ exhibitors and delegations from over 60 countries across 37,000+ gross sq. m.

  • 92% of exhibitors intend to re-exhibit in 2027 and 89% generated business leads.

Launching alongside the stores is the Foodstories mobile app and a Mumbai-based fulfilment ecosystem enabling deliveries across the city in under 60 minutes, extending the experience beyond the store.

At the heart of Foodstories is a simple belief: food, when sourced with intention and enjoyed with curiosity, has the power to nourish not only the body, but culture, connection and self-expression.

"At Foodstories, we believe food is one of the most powerful ways people express who they are," says Avni Biyani, Co-Founder."The choices we make every day shape our wellbeing, rituals and culture. We celebrate the farmers, producers, bakers and artisans behind every ingredient because understanding where food comes from changes how we experience it. Foodstories exists to make food more joyful, intentional and connected."

The Mumbai stores introduce a collection of original concepts including That Grocery Café, which brings ingredient stories from shelf to plate; That Bev Bar, focused on hydration, caffeination and creativity; and That Bake Shop, led by award-winning pastry educator Chef Dean Rodrigues, where baking becomes a live experience throughout the day.

Freshness remains central to the experience, with a fresh pasta bar by Chef Aabhas Mehrotra of Sorrentina fame, live spice grinding, freshly roasted nuts, made-to-order nut butters and a working flour mill created in collaboration with Two Brothers Organic Farms.

Guests can also explore The Tea Library, a dedicated tea discovery destination designed around origin, craft and contemporary tea rituals.

Foodstories is powered by a community of passionate specialists including bakers, farmers, chefs, water sommeliers and caviarologists, while also serving as a platform for emerging Indian food brands and producers.

Around the world, food destinations are becoming cultural destinations. If Los Angeles has Erewhon, Mumbai now has Foodstories — a new home for discovery, wellbeing and modern food culture.

"Mumbai is a city that has always embraced ambition, creativity and culture, and nowhere is that more visible than Bandra," says Ashni Biyani, Co-Founder."Foodstories was built for this consumer. We wanted to create a destination where discovery becomes part of everyday life; where buying ingredients can lead to a conversation with a maker, a tasting or an entirely new food experience. We're not simply opening stores in Mumbai. We're building a platform for modern food culture."

Foodstories allows customers to engage with the brand in-store, through dedicated relationship managers, online via its website and app, and through rapid delivery across Mumbai.

As food increasingly becomes a reflection of lifestyle and wellbeing, Foodstories is building a new category in India — one where food, culture, community and discovery come together under a single roof.

Designed for a generation that wants to live better, eat better and stay curious, Foodstories arrives in Mumbai starting with Bandra and soon launching in Lokhandwala, Andheri.
