Cygnett Hotels & Resorts Signs 50-Key Cozzet Khatu Shyam, Strengthens Rajasthan Portfolio

New hotel at Ringas to tap growing pilgrimage and regional travel demand along the Jaipur-Khatu Shyam corridor

New Delhi, August , 2026: Cygnett Hotels & Resorts has announced the signing of a 50-key Cozzet hotel at Ringas, near Khatu Shyam in Rajasthan, strengthening the hospitality company’s presence in the state while expanding its premium economy portfolio across high-growth pilgrimage and regional travel markets.

The signing comes as Khatu Shyam emerges as one of Rajasthan’s largest pilgrimage destinations. In 2025, the shrine recorded an annual footfall of approximately 2.54 crore devotees, leading the state’s religious tourism rankings. The scale of visitor movement is creating a growing requirement for organised accommodation and supporting hospitality infrastructure across the Khatu Shyam-Ringas corridor.

Located approximately 18 km from the Khatu Shyam Ji Temple, the upcoming hotel will be positioned to serve pilgrims, families, leisure guests and transit travellers. Its location, just 100 metres from Ringas railway station and directly accessible from NH-52 connecting the region with Jaipur, will provide convenient road and rail connectivity for travellers. Being a brownfield project Cozzet Khatushyam is expected to open its doors for the guest in mid of 2027.

The property will feature 50 contemporary rooms, an all-day dining restaurant, health club and swimming pool. It will also cater to the region’s social and events market with a 2,500 sq. ft. banquet venue capable of accommodating approximately 180-200 guests.

Commenting on the signing, Sarbendra Sarkar, Founder & Managing Director, Cygnett Hotels & Resorts, said, “Pilgrimage travel is increasingly becoming an important driver of hospitality demand across India. Destinations receiving millions of visitors annually require not just additional room inventory, but dependable branded accommodation with consistent service standards. Khatu Shyam is a strong example of this transition. With its proximity to the shrine and excellent road and rail connectivity, Ringas presents a compelling opportunity for Cozzet to serve this rapidly growing travel corridor.”

Cozzet by Cygnett is the flagship premium economy and micro-hospitality brand of Cygnett Hotels & Resorts. Built around its “Smart, Safe & Sensible” philosophy, the brand combines contemporary accommodation, essential amenities and efficient service for business, leisure and transit travellers.

The signing also advances Cygnett’s wider expansion strategy for Cozzet at a time when India’s micro and mid-scale hospitality market is projected to reach US$7.60 billion by 2031. The brand currently has a development pipeline of approximately 600 keys, with hotels under development and in pre-opening stages across Noida, Ayodhya, Amritsar, Jaipur and Arunachal Pradesh, among other locations.

Through an asset-light and scalable expansion model, Cygnett plans to grow Cozzet across pilgrimage centres, transit hubs, business markets and emerging urban destinations where demand for reliable, value-led branded hospitality is increasing.

Artists-in-Residence Programme at Abode Bombay & Abode Jaipur

Abode Boutique Hotels, known for its design, presents the second edition of its Artists in Residence programme, hosted in collaboration with For Art and Culture in India (FAACII). The first edition was with Michal Raz in 2022, who spent two weeks at Abode Bombay.

This season brings two painters into residence across Abode Bombay and Abode Jaipur, where they will live, work and respond to their surroundings, developing new artwork over the course of their stay.

The two properties offer distinct environments in which the artists will work. Abode Bombay in Colaba is shaped by the lively, cosmopolitan energy of the city, a contemporary space that draws on Bombay’s layered, ever-shifting character.

Abode Jaipur, by contrast, is rooted in heritage, built on the philosophy of ‘nothing new, everything local’, where local stone, reclaimed wood and hand-finished lime plaster are worked by Rajasthani artisans into a space that is quietly contemporary yet deeply of its place.

Design has always been Abode’s guiding pillar, though it speaks in a different voice at each address.

Mary Pye

Mary Pye is a London-based painter, born in Manchester in 2001 and a graduate of the Slade School of Fine Art (BA Fine Art, 2021–2025). Her practice is slow and meditative, built through layers of pigment laid down, shifted, withdrawn and allowed to settle. She has exhibited in London, Mumbai and New Delhi, including at Bvlgari x MeSo Ventures in Mayfair and Between Worlds at The HiLight London. Her work is held in the collection of the AdP Museum of Contemporary Art in Ahmedabad.

During her residency across Mumbai and Jaipur, Pye's intent is not to depict either city literally but to let their visual rhythms, textures and traditions enter her imagination unconsciously, responding to her experience of living within them, and allowing that experience to shape her evolving painterly language. She hopes that instead of seeing literal streets, people will feel the emotional and spiritual weight of the real presences of Mumbai and Jaipur in her works.

Parnika Mittal is an Indian artist whose practice explores memory, identity and belonging through vibrant colour, layered compositions and fragmented, faceless figures. Having lived across cities and countries, she treats home as fluid - an emotion rather than a fixed location. She has previously undertaken a residency in Norfolk, England.

During her time at Abode Bombay and Abode Jaipur, Mittal intends to continue developing her ongoing body of work. Belonging, drawing on the cities' distinct energies - Bombay's contemporary pulse and Jaipur's heritage and craftsmanship and to explore how place, people and shared experience quietly shape memory and identity. Through this process, she hopes to honour the places, people and moments she encounters, allowing them to become part of her evolving painterly language.

The Abode Artists in Residence Programme will take place at Abode Bombay from 21 August to 14 September, followed by Abode Jaipur from 15 to 27 September.

World Conservation Day at Four Seasons Resorts Maldives

The Maldives is defined by its extraordinary natural beauty, from vibrant coral reefs and crystal-clear lagoons to sea turtles, manta rays and an abundance of marine life. At Four Seasons Resorts Maldives, protecting this environment is more than a responsibility; it is an integral part of the guest experience. Conservation and sustainability are woven into everyday life across Four Seasons Resort Maldives at Landaa Giraavaru and Four Seasons Resort Maldives at Kuda Huraa, offering guests the opportunity to experience the islands while gaining a deeper appreciation for the ecosystems that make them so unique.

The resorts' long-standing commitment to conservation is reflected in a number of important milestones. For 15 years, the Sea Turtle Conservation Programme has rescued and rehabilitated injured sea turtles, caring for more than 500 turtles to date. In partnership with Reefscapers, Four Seasons Resorts Maldives has also planted its 9,000th coral frame, contributing to the ongoing restoration of the surrounding reefs.

Among the programme's most remarkable initiatives is Flying Turtles, which provides permanent homes in accredited aquariums around the world for turtles whose injuries prevent them from ever returning to the wild. Others, particularly Olive Ridley turtles, are carefully rehabilitated and released back into the ocean. One of the programme's most heartwarming success stories is Peggy, whose recovery and return to the sea stands as a testament to what dedicated conservation efforts can achieve.

The commitment to protecting the Maldives extends beyond turtles and coral reefs. Four Seasons Resorts Maldives works closely with the Maldives Manta Conservation Programme, in partnership with Manta Trust, supporting one of the world's longest-running manta ray research initiatives. The programme was founded by former Four Seasons marine biologist Guy Stevens and continues to play an important role in advancing research and protecting manta ray populations across the Maldives.

Sustainability is equally embedded in the way the resorts operate. From an on-site water bottling plant that helps reduce single-use plastics to locally grown produce used across the restaurants, thoughtful environmental practices are part of daily life. Beyond environmental stewardship, Four Seasons Resorts Maldives has completed 25 years investing in the local community through its Apprenticeship Programme, equipping young Maldivians with the skills to build successful careers in luxury hospitality and creating meaningful employment opportunities for future generations.

This World Conservation Day, Four Seasons Resorts Maldives celebrates not only the milestones achieved, but the people, partnerships and shared commitment that continue to protect one of the world's most extraordinary destinations. Every coral frame planted, every turtle rescued and every future hospitality professional trained reflects a belief that caring for the Maldives today is the best way to preserve it for tomorrow.

The proposal for this project will be submitted to the Honourable Chief Minister, Shri Devendra Fadnavis, and the Honourable Deputy Chief Minister, Shri Eknath Shinde, and will be followed up for approval. Once a final decision is taken, all tourism department work related to the project — planning, detailed design, fund allocation, and phase-wise execution — will be carried out in coordination with Shri Makrand Aaba Patil, Guardian Minister, Buldhana District.

It was also noted at the meeting that the project will play an important role in bringing Rajmata Jijau's inspiring history, legacy, and cultural heritage before tourists through modern means.

How Sweet Celebrates 13 Years of Evolution from a Small Kitchen to Jaipur's Artisanal Baking Landmark

Jaipur, August 2026: In the foodservice sector, where speed is supreme, Jaipur-based artisan bakery How Sweet has charted a distinct heritage. Completing 13 years of baking each batch with care and attention to detail to engage all five senses, the brand’s journey is an ideal example of how reliability, unwavering skill, and tireless dedication to traditional baking can build a robust, large-scale consumer base in an increasingly competitive food service sector.

Beginning operations in 2013 as a small, simple kitchen, “How Sweet” has grown steadily over a decade to be Jaipur's landmark as the foremost artisan bakery brand. Depending heavily on their principles, every product is made from scratch, without any commercial premixes or artificial flavouring agents, while remaining entirely eggless.

Throughout the journey, the brand has excelled beyond the cakes and desserts category. Apart from popular baked savouries and confectioneries, How Sweet now has a widespread portfolio including personalised celebration cakes, gourmet gifting, café experiences, outdoor catering for weddings and luxury events. Yet, despite this expansion, the brand has consciously retained its small-batch approach, prioritising ingredient integrity, flavour and customer experience even while scaling up its operations.

On its continued success through its 13th year, Atika Agarwal, Founder, How Sweet says, "Modern-day consumers are now increasingly conscious about ingredients’ transparency, artisanal products and memorable food experiences rather than mass-produced offerings. How Sweet's 13-year journey shows learning the consumer pulse actively and growing to remain competitive in the segment by focusing on authenticity".

Strengthening the brand’s journey in India’s bakery sector is its belief in making all its batches from scratch using fresh and natural ingredients without relying on preservatives, artificial flavours, and convenience-first operations. In the coming times, the company is expanding across bakery retail, cafés, and experiential offerings. Thirteen years hence, How Sweet's story is more than longevity; it is about a purpose-led brand that has grown by consistently choosing quality over uncontrolled convenience.

The Luxury Collection Unveils Expeditions, A New Chapter in Cultural Discovery

The Luxury Collection today announces the launch of The Luxury Collection Expeditions, a collection of journeys extending the brand’s long-held role as The Destination Authority beyond the hotel stay and into the culture and character of a destination. Whether tracing centuries-old culinary traditions in Kyoto, journeying across the islands of Greece by helicopter, creating bespoke wine blends in Spain’s Rioja Alavesa, or exploring South Caicos alongside marine conservationists, Expeditions invite travelers to move beyond sightseeing and engage more deeply with the people, practices, and landscapes that give each destination its meaning.

The Luxury Collection has championed the art of exploration through a global portfolio of more than 130 hotels and resorts across over 40 countries and territories, each reflecting the heritage, character, and spirit of its destination. With Expeditions, the brand builds on this legacy by positioning each hotel as a gateway to deeper cultural discovery, with historians, artisans, chefs, winemakers, conservationists, and other local experts guiding guests into vineyards, workshops, kitchens, archaeological sites, and natural ecosystems. Each journey pairs this privileged access with thoughtfully curated experiences, exceptional accommodations, and seamless service, reflecting the refined hospitality that defines The Luxury Collection.

“At The Luxury Collection, we have long believed that a destination reveals itself through its people, rituals, and landscapes, and through the knowledge passed down over time,” said Bruce Rohr, Vice President and Global Brand Leader, The Luxury Collection. “Expeditions are a natural expression of that belief, inviting our guests to venture beyond the walls of their hotel and into the living fabric of a place, where expert guidance and cultural context foster a deeper and more personal understanding of a destination.”

The Luxury Collection Expeditions are offered through three distinct expressions, each bringing a unique pathway to discovery while sharing a commitment to cultural authenticity, expertise, and elevated hospitality.

Private Tailored Journeys Across Destinations

Private Tailored Journeys are bespoke, multi-day itineraries crafted around each guest’s interests, seamlessly connecting Luxury Collection hotels with private transportation, local expertise, and cultural access across multiple destinations. Each itinerary treats every stop not as a standalone visit, but as part of an interconnected regional narrative that deepens in meaning and perspective as the journey unfolds.

Japan: The Imperial Journey unfolds across Tokyo, Kyoto, and Nara over 10 days, using three Luxury Collection hotels as gateways into distinct expressions of Japanese culture, from Tokyo’s culinary precision to Kyoto’s spiritual heritage and Nara’s contemplative pace. Privately hosted experiences include entry into a samurai residence, sushi-making with a fourth-generation master, access to rarely opened temple spaces alongside a resident monk, and an intimate geiko dinner in Gion. Chauffeured transfers and Green Car rail travel connect each chapter of the journey, allowing guests to experience Japan with both extraordinary access and an unhurried sense of continuity.

Inspired by Italy’s legendary endurance road races, Italy: The Grand Italia Rally places guests behind the wheel of a classic Italian automobile on a six-night route from Milan to Venice and Florence before returning to Milan. Guided driving legs pass through Franciacorta, Lake Garda, the Apennines, Tuscany, and the Ligurian coast, offering unique rally-style navigation to some of the country’s most cinematic roads and landscapes. Each day concludes at a Luxury Collection hotel, with private boat arrivals, rooftop dining, and a finish-line celebration bringing the romance of Italian motoring into a distinctly refined journey.

Across nine days, Greece: The Aegean Odyssey connects Mykonos, Paros, and Santorini through private travel by helicopter and yacht, seamlessly pairing the beauty of the Cyclades with archaeology, cuisine, and island heritage. Guests explore the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Delos with a local archaeologist, sail to Antiparos and Despotiko, and trace Paros’ celebrated marble legacy through its quarries and villages. In Santorini, the journey uncovers the island’s distinctive wine culture through tastings of indigenous grape varieties and intimate culinary experiences set within a historic canava that has shaped local life for centuries.

Day Discoveries Rooted in Place

Available at select hotels, Day Discoveries are focused, single-day experiences that highlight a specific craft, culinary tradition, cultural practice, or natural environment to reveal a deeper layer of the destination. The experiences demonstrate how a single day can offer meaningful cultural depth, inviting guests to move from observation to participation through enduring local traditions.

Offered through Suiran, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Kyoto, Farm to Fermentation traces the city’s preservation culture through an intimate journey for up to four guests. The experience begins among seasonal vegetables at a local farm before continuing to a fermentation house, where guests learn the rice-bran preservation technique of nukazuke and explore how patience, climate, and seasonality shape Japanese flavor. A picnic in the agricultural landscape and a chef-crafted teppanyaki dinner complete the progression from field to fermentation house to table.

At The Phoenician, a Luxury Collection Resort, Scottsdale, Desert Icons: A Private Journey Through Living Legacy explores the Sonoran Desert through conservation, architecture, and locally sourced cuisine. Guests enjoy privileged access to the Desert Botanical Garden, including a privately guided exploration of its signature trails and behind-the-scenes entry to its seed bank, herbarium, and greenhouse, where biodiversity preservation and climate-resilient research come to life. The journey continues at Taliesin West with a private tour of Frank Lloyd Wright’s iconic desert laboratory, before concluding at The Phoenician, a Luxury Collection Resort, Scottsdale with a farm-to-table dinner inspired by the landscapes, ingredients, and traditions of the Sonoran Desert.

At Bab Samhan, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Diriyah, Doors of Diriyah: A Najdi Palette & Palate reveals the region through the color, geometry, and craftsmanship of its historic doorways. Guests explore the UNESCO-listed A-Turaif district and enter a private Najdi palace before preparing Henini – a heritage dish of dates, ghee, and cardamom – with the hotel’s expert chefs. The day concludes with an artisan-led painting workshop, where each guest creates a miniature Najdi door inspired by the pigments and motifs encountered throughout the journey.

Residencies & Collaborations Guided by Expertise

Residencies & Collaborations are limited-time programs that bring guests into direct exchange with leading winemakers, scientists, conservationists, and cultural voices through shared learning and hands-on participation. Spanning disciplines from winemaking to marine science, the programs place specialist knowledge at the center of the guest experience and create opportunities to contribute, create and learn alongside those shaping their fields.

At Hotel Marqués de Riscal, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Elciego, The Art of Winemaking: A Rioja Alavesa Masterclass immerses guests in the full evolution of a vintage over five days. Participants harvest grapes alongside the viticulture team, gain privileged access to the winery’s gravity-fed cellar, and enter the laboratory for a private blending session to craft their own bespoke wine identity. Vineyard lunches, rare vintages, a 16-course gastronomic dinner, and a candlelit farewell feast in the historic cellars further illuminate the traditions of Rioja Alavesa. Following departure, guests’ personalized wines continue aging in French oak barrels before 40 custom-labeled bottles are shipped to their homes.

At Salterra, a Luxury Collection Resort & Spa, South Caicos, three expert-led programs reveal the island through its coral reefs, remote flats, coastal cays, and dark skies. Reef Revival Expedition brings guests alongside marine scientists and School for Field Studies researchers to a coral nursery laboratory and guided snorkeling above the reef, with an optional coral-planting dive available to certified divers. On Angler’s Paradise Expedition, guests explore the island’s secluded flats with a bonefishing expert, tracking fish and casting across the remote waters before returning to the resort for a Caribbean-inspired meal centered on the day’s catch. From Tides to Stars Expedition moves from naturalist-guided kayaking through the Northern Cays to private stargazing beneath South Caicos’ dark skies. Together, the three programs position the resort as a gateway to the island’s living ecosystems, and the local stewards working to preserve them.

Together, the inaugural collection comprises 10 Expeditions across destinations in North America, Europe, Asia, and the Caribbean, revealing the cultural heritage, craftsmanship, cuisine, ecosystems, and wellness practices of destinations worldwide. The Luxury Collection will unveil additional Expeditions this fall, continuing to expand the platform across its global portfolio. Ajay’s Café Awarded its Women Entrepreneurs

Ajay’s Café recognised women entrepreneurs running businesses through its franchise network at its Ajay’s Udaan event held. The initiative highlights how entrepreneurship can create a pathway from independence to financial independence by enabling more women to own businesses.

Navsari: August,2026: Ajay’s Café, one of India’s leading Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) brands and fastest-growing vegetarian café chains, recognised women entrepreneurs running businesses through its franchise network at its Ajay’s Udaan event held. The initiative highlights how entrepreneurship can create a pathway from independence to financial independence by enabling more women to own businesses.

Around 40 women are currently running Ajay’s Café outlets as franchise partners across different cities. For many of them, their association with Ajay’s marks their first experience of owning a business.

Through its franchise model, Ajay’s Café provides aspiring entrepreneurs with an established business format and operational support in the form of training, technology, supply chain and marketing, enabling them to take on the responsibilities of running an enterprise. For these entrepreneurs, business ownership represents greater financial independence while contributing to the economy.

Speaking on the occasion, Ajay Solanki, Founder, Ajay’s Café, said, “Independence gives us the freedom to make our own choices, while financial independence gives us the ability to act on those choices. What makes this journey special is that many of our women franchise partners started their first business with us. Today, they are not only running businesses, but also managing teams, creating jobs and making crucial financial decisions. We believe entrepreneurship can give women a greater sense of economic choice, and we are proud to be a part of their journey.”

Ajay’s Café, known for its burgers, cold coffee and affordable café offerings, has over 265+ outlets across Gujarat and Rajasthan. Its growing base of women franchise partners is playing a key role in the brand’s expansion into new locations.

The journeys of these women reflect a broader dimension of independence, where the freedom to choose is complemented by the ability to build, earn and create opportunities through entrepreneurship.

Awas country Club Launches in Alibaug, Bringing a New Expression of Private, Wellness-Led Living to the Region

A patrons-only country club that brings together residence-style living, wellness, leisure and hospitality amidst the quiet of mature mango groves.

There is a certain luxury in having nowhere to be. No itinerary to follow, no plans to keep, just the freedom to let the day unfold on its own. Mornings begin slowly, afternoons disappear by the pool, children wander off to play, parents linger over lunch, and somehow, everyone finds their way back to the same table by evening.

It is this idea of unhurried, shared living that sits at the heart of Awas Country Club, a new patrons-only private club in Alibaug. Set amidst mature mango groves and landscaped greens, Awas has been conceived as “not a resort, something quieter” - a place that feels closer to having a home away from home, but with everything taken care of.

An extension of Sun-n-Sand’s six-decade hospitality legacy, Awas brings the brand’s longstanding experience in hospitality into a private country club format. Three expansive 4,700 sq. ft. five-bedroom villas form the residential core of the property, offering the space and ease of residence-style living, while the clubhouse extends that experience with spaces for dining, wellness, recreation and entertainment, all within one private estate.

“We didn’t want to build another resort. Alibaug already has those. What we wanted was a place that families could quietly call their own, where they would run into the same faces, where the staff remembers how you take your coffee and where each visit feels a little more familiar than the last. For us, that sense of familiarity and belonging is what makes a private club truly meaningful”, spokesperson, title.

That philosophy is reflected in the scale of the club itself. With just three expansive villas and access reserved for patrons and their guests, Awas has been intentionally kept intimate and low-density. The limited number of villas allows the club to retain a sense of privacy and ease, while giving patrons the freedom to settle into the space at their own pace.

That same freedom carries into the way the day unfolds, with individuals able to find their own rhythm between rest, movement and everything in between. The dedicated wellness wing offers treatment rooms, a Himalayan salt therapy room and relaxation lounge for those looking to slow down, while the high-performance gym, yoga and Pilates studio and golf simulator cater to more active pursuits. Pickleball, padel and tennis bring a more energetic, social side to the day. Together, these experiences reflect Awas’s belief that movement and recovery can sit naturally alongside one another - a philosophy captured in “Where Luxury Meets Longevity.”

Food and shared experiences form another natural rhythm of life at the club. Drift, the multi-cuisine restaurant, serves from breakfast through dinner, with private dining options available for more intimate occasions. The freeform pool offers an easy setting for long afternoons, while the private theatre, karaoke and games room bring families and friends together after dark. At the rooftop bar, evenings take on a slower pace, while Waves provides a more considered setting for larger celebrations and special occasions.

For families, especially those travelling across generations, the beauty lies in not having to do the same thing at the same time. A grandparent can spend the morning at the spa, younger members of the family can head to the courts, while someone else lingers over breakfast or by the pool. They can each spend the day differently, and still come together later over a meal, a film or an evening gathering. The five-bedroom villas make staying together easy, while the club gives each generation enough space to make the experience their own. It is this balance of activity and ease that shapes the experience at Awas.

The setting plays an equally important role in shaping that experience. The property sits within mature mango groves, with landscaped greens, shaded pathways and open spaces woven into the experience. Handcrafted interiors and a coastal sensibility keep the spaces warm and tactile, allowing the landscape to remain as much a part of Awas as the architecture.

At a time when luxury travel is increasingly moving away from packed itineraries and towards the value of time itself, Awas offers something refreshingly simple: the freedom to slow down, stay a little longer, and leave already looking forward to coming back.
