Juniper Hotels Signs MOU to Acquire Novotel Imagicaa for Rs 248 Crore

Will add an established, cash-generating hotel with 287 keys in close proximity to Mumbai.

  • Diversified demand generators across leisure, social and MICE will drive multiple revenue streams.

  • Potential to rebrand the asset into the upper-upscale segment.

  • Juniper’s asset management and hospitality expertise to drive long-term value creation.

Mumbai, September , 2026: Juniper Hotels Limited (“Juniper” or “the Company”), one of India’s leading luxury hotel development and ownership companies, today announced that it has entered into a binding Memorandum of Understanding (“MoU”) with Imagicaaworld Entertainment Limited (formerly known as Adlabs Entertainment Limited) for the acquisition of an operating hotel, Novotel Imagicaa, for an aggregate consideration of ₹248 crore at approximately ₹86 lakh per key, subject to the terms and conditions of the definitive agreements.

Spread across approximately 11 acres in Khopoli, Maharashtra, Novotel Imagicaa is strategically located near the economic centres of Mumbai and Pune, with the airport accessible within a two-hour drive. The hotel sits adjacent to the Imagicaa Theme Park and Water Park. Spanning a built-up area of approximately 2,80,000 sq. ft., the hotel offers 287 well-appointed guest rooms complemented by a curated selection of restaurants, versatile banquet and meeting venues, spa and recreational facilities. It has established a distinct niche in the leisure and social segments, reinforcing the asset’s standing as a complete family holiday destination.

 Strategic Rationale

The proposed acquisition advances Juniper's long-term objective of building a portfolio of large, high-quality hotels in India's most compelling business and leisure destinations.

The transaction offers several strategic advantages, including:

 Addition of an established, operating 287-key five-star hotel expected to generate stable cash flows from day one, without any lead time of greenfield development;

  1. Strategic presence in the Mumbai–Pune corridor catering to leisure, social and MICE segment;

  2. Potential to add incremental banqueting and ballroom capacity immediately to strengthen its social and MICE, from the adjacent Imagicaa parks.

  3. Opportunity to rebrand into the upper-upscale segment and drive higher revenue over the long term.

  4. Diversified demand generators resulting in multiple revenue streams across leisure, social, MICE, and weekend travel; and

  5. Opportunity to leverage Juniper’s asset management and hospitality expertise to drive long-term value creation.

Commenting on the proposed acquisition, Mr. Arun Kumar Saraf, Chairman & Managing Director, Juniper Hotels Limited said, "At Juniper, our growth journey has always been guided by a simple principle: grow with purpose and create value for the long term. Novotel Imagicaa represents the kind of asset we look for. It is an established hospitality property with scale, a strong destination proposition, and multiple demand generators.

Our upcoming developments will significantly expand the company’s scale. We remain focused on owning the ‘Right Assets’ in the right markets, large, capable of generating diversified revenue streams across rooms, F&B, MICE, serviced apartments, commercial spaces and other hospitality offerings. We intend to pursue this growth with capital discipline, strong internal cash generation and a healthy balance sheet, and selectively evaluate acquisition opportunities where we see a compelling strategic fit.”

Completion of the proposed acquisition pursuant to the MoU is subject to execution of definitive agreements, satisfaction of customary closing conditions, and receipt of any required statutory, regulatory, and other approvals.

From Country Clubs to Lifestyle Destinations: The New Way Affluent Indians Are Choosing to Spend Their Leisure Time

There was a time when country clubs were defined by golf courses, tennis courts and traditional clubhouses. Today, leisure is evolving into something more holistic, with affluent Indians seeking spaces that bring together wellness, dining, recreation, hospitality and social experiences.

Modern private clubs are becoming lifestyle destinations where an entire day, or even a weekend, can unfold within one setting. Awas Country Club reflects this shift. Set within mature mango groves in Alibaug, the patrons-only club brings together residence-style living, wellness, recreation, dining and hospitality, extending Sun-n-Sand’s six-decade hospitality legacy.

Wellness and recreation sit at the heart of the experience, with treatment rooms, Himalayan salt therapy, a gym, yoga and Pilates studio, golf simulator, pickleball, padel and tennis. Dining at Drift, the multi-cuisine restaurant, is complemented by private dining, a freeform pool and spaces for entertainment including a private theatre, karaoke and games room.

The experience extends into three expansive five-bedroom villas, allowing patrons and their guests to stay within the estate and move seamlessly between relaxation, recreation and socialising.

Surrounded by landscaped greens, shaded pathways and mature mango groves, Awas offers a considered escape from the city. As leisure becomes increasingly experience-led, the modern country club is evolving into a private destination where wellness, hospitality, recreation and community come together.

This Festive Season, Hadō Is the Gift and the Gathering

From Ganesh Chaturthi through Diwali and the New Year, Hadō's crafted sodas move beyond the usual festive hamper, built on flavours drawn from Indian celebration itself - zero added sugar, 10g of prebiotic fibre and no artificial preservatives in every can.

In India, the festive season isn't a single day, it's a long season in itself, opening with the wedding season and carrying on through festivals like Diwali, Eid, Christmas and into the New Year, one gathering leading straight into the next. Hadō, the Indian soda brand built on Indian flavour memory rather than global trend, is positioning itself across that entire arc as both the gift that arrives at the door and the drink that shows up at the table once everyone's settled in.

A Gift That Goes Beyond the Usual

The idea behind Hadō's festive gifting is fairly simple: not every festive gift needs to be another box of sweets.

A curated Hadō hamper offers a selection of crafted sodas that can be enjoyed straight from the can, served chilled when guests arrive, or shared around the table during a festive gathering. It's the kind of gift that feels easy, useful and genuinely enjoyable, while still carrying the thoughtfulness expected of a festive gesture.

As gifting habits evolve, people are increasingly looking for things that feel more personal and relevant to the person receiving them. Food and beverage hampers, in particular, are moving beyond the conventional assortment of sweets and dry fruits, making room for products that bring together taste, discovery and a sense of occasion.

Flavours Built for the Season

That sense of occasion runs through the product itself. Rather than following the global flavour trends dominating the wider functional beverage category, Hadō built its range around the tastes already tied to Indian celebration, the flavours of Indian celebration, in a can. Lychee Rose echoes the rose and saffron sherbets of wedding season; Guava Chilli channels the citrus-and-spice hit of festival chaat and street-side snacking; Lemongrass Ginger offers a clean reset between gatherings; Pineapple Coconut brings the tropical, escapist note that shows up whenever a celebration turns into a holiday.

Every can remains built on the same foundation Hadō launched with: zero added sugar, sweetened with monk fruit, 10g of prebiotic fibre, and no artificial preservatives, independently tested through NABL-accredited laboratories.

From the Gift Box to the Festive Table

For Hadō, the festive season isn't just about gifting. It's also about the moments around it,  friends dropping in, family getting together, long lunches, spontaneous plans and tables that somehow always have room for one more person.

That's where Hadō fits naturally. Its crafted sodas are designed to be enjoyed as part of these everyday celebrations, whether paired with festive food or simply opened when everyone settles in for a conversation.

Founded by Stuti Srivastava, Hadō was developed over two years of experimentation to rethink the familiar Indian soda experience for a new generation. The brand brings together nostalgic soda cues with a more considered approach to ingredients and functionality — and has already found an audience: Hadō's first production run sold out within two months of launch, and the brand is now available across 90+ general and modern trade stores in Mumbai, including Foodhall and 7-Eleven.

This festive season, Hadō is simply offering another way to say I thought of you, with something refreshing, unexpected, and made to be enjoyed together.

ICONIC Tourism Summit 2026 Brings Industry Leaders Together to Shape the Future of Travel and Tourism

Marking a significant milestone in India’s travel and tourism landscape, Red Hat Communications, an initiative by Jyoti Mayal, successfully hosted the 9th edition of the WION ICONIC Tourism Summit 2026, in association with Zee Network and VFS Global, on 23 September 2026 at ITC Maurya, New Delhi. The summit was graced by the presence of Shri Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, Union Minister of Culture & Tourism, as Chief Guest, and Shri Kapil Mishra, Cabinet Minister, Government of Delhi, as Guest of Honour.

Over the years, ICONIC has evolved into a prominent platform bringing together leading voices from travel, tourism, aviation, hospitality, government and allied sectors to exchange ideas, address emerging challenges and explore new opportunities for the industry.

The landmark 9th edition was held under the broader theme “Reinventing Tourism: Where Technology, AI and Sustainability Are Shaping the Future of Travel,” reflecting the rapidly changing dynamics of the global tourism ecosystem. The summit focused on the forces shaping the next decade of travel, including digital transformation, artificial intelligence, aviation expansion, sustainable tourism, evolving traveller expectations, destination readiness and the need for a future-ready workforce.

Over the years, ICONIC has provided a common platform for industry leaders, policymakers, diplomats, hospitality professionals, aviation experts and tourism stakeholders to engage in meaningful conversations around the changing face of travel. The 9th edition built on this legacy by bringing together influential voices to discuss how the sector can remain resilient, innovative and globally competitive in an increasingly technology-driven environment.

Shri Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, Union Minister of Culture & Tourism, addressed the summit, adding, “Tourism will play an increasingly important role in India’s growth story, and our approach has always been rooted in the timeless values of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam and Atithi Devo Bhava. The growth of tourism goes far beyond architecture or amenities. It depends on a complete ecosystem where infrastructure, connectivity, hospitality, food and beverage, technology, local communities and travel enablers work together to create a meaningful experience for visitors.

Tourism is becoming increasingly decentralised, which presents a tremendous opportunity for a diverse country like India. Technology and social media are opening up destinations that were earlier less visible, while AI, AR and VR can help travellers curate experiences and discover destinations in new ways. Yet technology can only enable the journey; it can never replace the human touch. Travel agents, tour operators and other travel enablers continue to play an important role in shaping the overall visitor experience.

Indian hospitality has always been one of our greatest strengths, and we must continue to raise the bar. In the age of social media, a visitor’s experience can travel faster than anything else, and a poor experience can influence the perception of an entire destination. This makes it essential for all stakeholders to work together on quality, safety, infrastructure and connectivity. India offers immense possibilities for unparalleled travel experiences because of its extraordinary diversity, and our collective responsibility is to build an ecosystem that allows these experiences to flourish.”

Shri Kapil Mishra, Minister of Labour, Delhi, sharing his insights, added, “It is a privilege to be part of ICONIC Summit 2026 and to engage with stakeholders who share a common vision for the growth of tourism. We all have a role to play in taking tourism forward in the national capital as well as across India. Delhi and the NCR region have immense potential, and we are undertaking several measures to strengthen tourism infrastructure, architecture and visitor experiences across the capital and its surrounding areas. At the same time, making Delhi a leading tourism hub will require greater participation from the private sector, with investments and partnerships that can help strengthen infrastructure, develop new tourism experiences and create more opportunities for visitors.

Technology, artificial intelligence and social media are opening up new possibilities for tourism and can significantly expand the way destinations are discovered and experienced. At the same time, the impact we create will ultimately depend on how effectively all stakeholders come together and translate these opportunities into meaningful action. Stronger public-private partnerships can play an important role in bringing together government vision, industry expertise and private investment to build a more vibrant and competitive tourism ecosystem for Delhi. Government, industry, tourism professionals and citizens must work collectively to build an ecosystem that supports sustainable growth and creates a stronger tourism experience.

I invite stakeholders from across the industry and everyone working towards the larger interests of the nation to come forward, collaborate and contribute their ideas towards strengthening tourism in Delhi and across India. I also extend my appreciation to Hon’ble Union Minister of Tourism Shri Gajendra Singh Shekhawat ji for his continued efforts and passion towards taking Indian tourism forward. Together, we can build further on the vision of the Government and Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji and strengthen tourism as an important contributor to India’s growth and prosperity.”

Addressing the summit as a keynote speaker, Ms. Jyoti Mayal, Chairperson, Tourism & Hospitality Skill Council (THSC) and CEO, Red Hat Communications, highlighted that tourism today is much more than travel; it is an ecosystem that connects infrastructure, technology, hospitality, culture, entrepreneurship and communities. India has a tremendous opportunity to build tourism experiences rooted in its local identity while creating livelihoods and economic opportunities for the communities that host them. This will require stronger collaboration between government, industry, investors and local stakeholders, alongside greater focus on skilling and digital readiness. As AI and technology reshape the traveller journey, we must ensure that innovation continues to complement the human touch that lies at the heart of hospitality. The future of Indian tourism will be shaped not just by the number of visitors we attract, but by the opportunities we create for communities, entrepreneurs and the people who make these experiences possible.

The 9th edition brought together several prominent industry leaders, including Tribhuvan Darbari, Chairman, BIMSTEC Business Council Secretariat, India; Mr. K.B. Kachru, Chairman Emeritus & Principal Advisor, South Asia, Radisson Hotel Group; Ravi Nandan Sinha, Director, Strategic Investments & Economic Partnerships, MSME Business Forum India; Saurabh Tiwari, Vice President – Middle East, Maldives & Sri Lanka, IHCL (Taj Dubai); Vikram Lalvani, MD & CEO, Sterling Holiday Resorts; Manish Puri, Head of Global Sales, Air India Limited & Air India Express; Ahmed Hamed Sharbak, Regional Manager (APAC), Visit Qatar; Kamal Munasinghe, Senior VP, Colombo Hotels, Cinnamon Hotels & Resorts and General Manager, Cinnamon Life; Anil Parashar, Executive Director, ITQ Technologies Pvt. Ltd.; Vinay Malhotra, Head, Strategic Global Partnerships, VFS Global; Achin Sharma, Chief Digital Officer, WAISL (GMR Cargo); Abhilash Kalathil Ramesh, Executive Director, Kairali Ayurvedic Group; and Sharad Gowani, Head of Operations – India, VFS Global, among several other eminent industry stakeholders.

The summit also brought a strong international perspective through the participation of senior diplomatic representatives, including H.E. Mariano Agustin Caucino, Ambassador of Argentina to India; H.E. Hanisha Jairam, Ambassador of Suriname to India; H.E. Lalatiana Accouche, High Commissioner of Seychelles to India; H.E. Anil Sooklal, High Commissioner of South Africa to India; H.E. Aliki Koutsomitopoulou, Ambassador of Greece to India; H.E. Kevin Kelly, Ambassador of Ireland to India; H.E. Nadeska Cuthbert, Ambassador of Nicaragua to India; H.E. Robert Maxian, Ambassador of Slovakia to India; H.E. Evagoras Vryonides, High Commissioner of Cyprus to India; H.E. Mahishini Colonné, High Commissioner of Sri Lanka to India; and Muktesh Pardeshi, Former Secretary and Former Ambassador to Türkiye & New Zealand. Their participation reinforced the growing importance of international partnerships in strengthening inbound tourism, outbound travel and cross-border collaboration.

Speaking on the successful completion of the 9th edition, Ms. Jyoti Mayal, visionary behind the ICONIC platform and Chairperson, Tourism & Hospitality Skill Council (THSC), said: “Today, marking the 9th edition of ICONIC is a deeply meaningful milestone. Over the years, the platform has grown into a space where leaders across sectors can come together, exchange perspectives and collectively shape the future of travel and tourism. The industry has undergone tremendous transformation, with technology, AI, sustainability and evolving traveller expectations reshaping the way tourism is experienced. As we look ahead, the opportunity lies in building a more connected and inclusive tourism ecosystem—one that brings together government, industry, investors, technology partners and local communities. Collaboration, innovation and skilling will be central to ensuring that tourism growth creates stronger destinations, new opportunities and meaningful livelihoods. I am grateful to all the industry leaders, policymakers, diplomats and partners who have been part of the ICONIC journey and contributed to making it a meaningful platform for the industry.”

The 9th edition of WION ICONIC Tourism Summit 2026 concluded with a renewed focus on collaboration, innovation and future-readiness, while celebrating a decade of conversations, connections and ideas that have contributed to the evolving narrative of India’s travel and tourism industry.

Vietjet Ranked Among Vietnam's Top 50 Best Listed Companies by Forbes

Mumbai, September , 2026 – Vietjet has been named among Vietnam’s Top 50 Best Listed Companies for 2026 by Forbes Vietnam, recognizing the airline’s strong business performance, capital efficiency, management quality, and long-term growth prospects.

The 2026 list was compiled through a multi-stage evaluation process. Listed companies were first required to meet specific thresholds for profitability, revenue, and market capitalization. They were subsequently assessed against a range of criteria, including revenue and profit growth, return on equity (ROE), return on invested capital (ROIC), industry position, management quality, sources of earnings, and growth prospects.

The airline retained its place on this year's list as it continues to sustain its growth momentum and expand its operational scale. India remains a key international market for Vietjet, with direct services linking Delhi, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Hyderabad and Bengaluru with Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, two of Southeast Asia’s major economic and cultural hubs.

Ms. Ho Ngoc Yen Phuong, Vice Chairwoman, Vice President and CFO of Vietjet, said: “We deeply appreciate this recognition from Forbes Vietnam, as well as the trust placed in Vietjet by our shareholders, investors, and customers. In a highly dynamic and volatile industry such as aviation, growth must go hand-in-hand with capital efficiency, financial discipline, and strong management capabilities.

For Vietjet, every investment decision is aimed at strengthening our competitiveness, creating sustainable value for shareholders, and providing more people with opportunities to fly. This is also the foundation for our journey toward becoming an international aviation group and strengthening Vietnam’s connectivity with the world.”

Alongside its positive business performance, Vietjet continues to expand its International flight network, invest in a new-generation fleet, and progressively develop its aviation ecosystem. These initiatives are aimed at enhancing operational efficiency, optimizing costs, and building a strong foundation for long-term growth.

Being recognized once again by Forbes Vietnam reflects Vietjet’s continued efforts to strengthen its business performance and capital efficiency. With its vision of becoming an international aviation group, Vietjet continues to expand connections between Vietnam and major economic and tourism hubs around the world, contributing to greater trade, investment, and economic development.

BLTM 2026 Drives Industry Conversations Around PM Modi’s Vision for Indian Tourism

BLTM 2026 Concludes in New Delhi with Record Trade Visitor Turnout

  • Three-day B2B trade show records 13,000+ trade visitors and 23% business meetings from across India and international destinations

New Delhi, September , 2026: With India’s travel and tourism economy already contributing 6.6% of GDP and on track to rise to 7% by 2030 and 10% by 2047, the ninth edition of BLTM 2026 concluded at Yashobhoomi, Dwarka. The three-day event positioned itself as a key platform to align industry action with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of a stronger, more inclusive tourism ecosystem. The B2B trade show focused on Business, Leisure Travel and MICE brought together destinations, tourism boards, travel companies, hotels, resorts and travel professionals to capitalise on rapidly expanding domestic travel demand, MICE, destination weddings, experiential and rural tourism.

The event recorded 13,000+ trade visitors, a 23% increase over the previous edition, with 500+ exhibitors and 450+ hosted buyers across the three days. Participation spanned five countries and 18 Indian states and union territories, alongside broad representation from hotels, resorts, tourism organisations, DMCs, airlines and travel businesses.

BLTM 2026 also hosted the ICRT Indian Subcontinent Responsible Tourism Awards 2026, presented by the ICRT India Foundation with the support of the Ministry of Tourism. Recognising exemplary initiatives and practices in responsible and sustainable tourism, the awards celebrated pioneers and changemakers driving positive impact across the sector. The ceremony was graced by Shri Suman Billa, IAS, Additional Secretary & Director General, Ministry of Tourism, as Chief Guest, and Ms. Kanta Singh, Deputy Country Representative, UN Women India, as Guest of Honour, underscoring the growing emphasis on advancing responsible and sustainable tourism across the region.

Shri Suman Billa, IAS, Additional Secretary & Director General, Ministry of Tourism, said, “India has significant potential for MICE, with the country today having some of its best infrastructure for hosting business events. For India, the challenge is not growth; the real challenge is how we bring this growth within a framework of responsibility, so that it becomes an engine for economic growth and development for our people and communities. BLTM has been a strong and successful showcase, and events like this create an opportunity to democratise the industry by enabling smaller players to connect with larger players and creating a real window of opportunity.”

The conversations across the three days reflected the changing nature of India’s travel market, with industry leaders examining what makes a destination win in the Indian MICE market, how AI and technology are reshaping business events, and how travel experiences can deliver stronger business and tourism outcomes. India’s MICE and business travel market continues to expand, with the MICE market projected to grow from USD 49.4 billion in 2024 to USD 103.7 billion by 2030, while outbound MICE tourism is expected to reach USD 13.4 billion by 2031. BLTM 2026 reflected this demand across MICE, destination weddings, experiential and rural tourism, and premium leisure travel.

Sanjiv Agarwal, Chairman & CEO, Fairfest Media Limited, said, “BLTM 2026 closed with trade visitor turnout up 23% over last year, a strong indicator of the growing business appetite in India’s travel and MICE market. Across the three days, we saw buyers actively exploring opportunities across MICE, destination weddings, experiential travel and new domestic and international destinations. The quality of meetings and engagement on the show floor reflects a market that is not only expanding, but becoming more diverse in what it is looking for. BLTM’s role is to bring that demand together with the right destinations and travel businesses, creating connections that can translate into business well beyond the show.”

For destinations seeking access to Indian travellers, the opportunity included corporate meetings and incentive travel to destination weddings, premium group travel and experiential holidays. Complementing this trend, the growth of India's domestic market is creating opportunities for states, smaller destinations, rural tourism enterprises and hospitality businesses to build new products for Indian travellers.

BLTM 2026 reflected this diversification through the participation of Sri Lanka as Partner Country, Israel as Feature Country and Saint Petersburg as Focus Destination, with Delhi as Host State, Odisha and Goa as Partner States, and West Bengal, Punjab and Tamil Nadu as Feature States. The international participation, meanwhile, brought destinations including Sri Lanka, Israel, Saint Petersburg, Nepal and Thailand to Delhi, giving Indian buyers access to a wider range of travel products while creating opportunities for partnerships with overseas suppliers.

Rural tourism was also given dedicated visibility at BLTM 2026, with initiatives from Madhya Pradesh, Delhi NCR, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand showcasing rural homestays and village-based experiences. The participation highlighted how tourism can extend economic opportunities beyond established tourism centres by connecting travellers with local culture, traditional cuisine, handicrafts, nature and community-led experiences.

Across the three days, the BLTM Forum brought together leaders from convention bureaus, hospitality, corporate travel, incentive travel and the wider MICE ecosystem for discussions on key trends shaping the industry. Sessions included “Competing for the Indian MICE Market: What Makes a Destination Win?”, “Future Ready Business Events: Innovation, Technology and Human Connection”, “It’s Not a Holiday – Redesigning MICE for Real Business Outcomes”, “Business Session by NIMA – AI X MICE: From Event Tools to Intelligent Operations”, “WeddingSutra Engage: Travel and Destination Weddings 2027”, “The Future of MICE: AI, Experiences and New Markets” and TIA Recharge 3.0, alongside the B2B Speed Networking Session, complementing the business meetings and networking taking place across the show floor
